Been following him for a while, much preferred his 370z, but hey. Also a guy who put the Ferrari 458 v8 into a GT86... so he's a good guy in my mind http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2016/12/7/Ryan-Tuerck-And-Friends-Hoon-The-Crap-Out-Of-A-Soviet-Nuclear-Base-7736769/

Don't worry, I had the issue last year of my door lock freezing, window would go up and down no problem ( obviously watered it as above ) but the door locking mechanism was frozen... Very awkward trying to tell your co worker they can't come home cause its frozen ( worked night shifts ). After about 20 mins heading home with the cars heating on high it finally opened haha went through about a week of this... eventually stopped and have no idea what caused it.

Xtreme Clutch - Winter Giveaway!!
Mikevv replied to Ewen@Clark Motorsport's topic in Clark Motorsport
If I buy a hoody and beanie, can I have a free clutch? -
It sounds hard, but use your head when you look. I didn't and paid the price. I fell in love with it so fast haha. Sounds trivial but check EVERYTHING works, buttons/switches etc. My washers have stopped working, suspect a leak, but never fixed it. MOT is due in Jan so gotta get a move on hahaha. But yes, sounds silly, but check the lights as well - They're an expensive fix!

I think Jon has a good business going!

From what I've read, the front and rear wipers operate on separate motors, my thinking is it's unlikely they both don't work. Maybe some electrical gremlin? They are fairly cheap to replace, about £10-£15 each from Eurocarparts if I remember correctly, so if you want you can try that, or someone who actually knows what they are on about will correct me and help out shortly

I believe this is fairly apples to apples... although they come in many shapes, colours and sizes Z4 ( keeping on track with the £40k budget ) http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201611049458956?model=Z4&postcode=bh216sw&make=BMW&sort=price-desc&radius=1500&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&advertising-location=at_cars&page=1 350z ROADSTER ( to keep the same convertible factor ) http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201610138750908?advertising-location=at_cars&body-type=Convertible&make=NISSAN&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&radius=1500&model=350%20Z&sort=mileage&postcode=bh216sw&page=1 Thats a fair comparison in my mind, obviously assuming the finance matched up as we talked about earlier. This is the only Z4 you'll catch me in though ( Are those linea corse lc818 wheels??? ) http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201605043604516?model=Z4&postcode=bh216sw&make=BMW&sort=price-desc&radius=1500&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&advertising-location=at_cars&page=1

NO YOU CAN'T FFS You've done it again: Chosen a family car designed for five people and put it up against a car that has precisely nothing in common at all! It doesn't work as a meaningful comparison in the slightest. It's like me asking if I should buy a new kettle or a new chefs knife, as until you know what I need it for it's a pointless question PLUS I wouldn't be considering both anyway for the same job. Honestly, how many more times do you want me to spell it out?! Now, go and find two cars WHICH SHARE A TARGET AUDIENCE and we can have a sensible conversation. This made me laugh... I know it wasn't your intention, but the wording just tickled me.

Why is that 320d so expensive??? For that sorta money I'd be looking at a brand new Nismo 370z, they can be had for £34-£35k using Carwow. Or my other option was an E92 M3 - More car, but also more maintenance and unfortunately older/used. If you wanna get a diesel barge, buy a one year old 430d ( cause it looks way better than the 3 ) and save nearly half the initial cost!

350z/370z P1 Performance Service Kits £45
Mikevv replied to Tarmac@TarmacSportz's topic in Tarmac Sportz
Whats the price if we bought them all separately? My car is due a service, but only in January. I also need some coolant, moly slip and the ancillary/aircon belts need changing ( haven't got any record of them being changed so may as well ) Would you be able to supply these too? I used H-Dev for reference, maybe partner up -
370z with some lovely cans in Woking
Mikevv replied to The Bounty Bar Kid's topic in Spotted or Flyered
Did the car have nice cans, or the driver -
Not unless you get the MK2 Nismo, IMO Although the MK1 Nismo wheels are nicer

As we have now cleared up whether DE and HR steering wheels fit ( they don't apaz ) I'm after HR/Revup steering wheel trims. The silver bits to the left/right of the airbag. http://images.gtcarlot.com/customgallery/interior/38809692.jpg Thanks guys, not sure what they're worth, so just shoot me a price

Perfect timing, my car is going for a service soon ish, only changed ALL the fluids about 3500 miles ago ( This January ) would it be okay to just add the molyslip rather than change the oil too? Sorry for thread highjacking!

I've been dreaming of a Storm White 370z nismo for about 6 months now, and paranoid they will discontinue production soon due to eco *******, ahem I mean warriors ( damn them!! ) so I've been following all news I can on them. I frequent Carbuzz, mostly when I'm bored, and found this article. In the UK you can't get an auto Nismo, which I'm glad about, cause it's for people who enjoy driving I just don't see why you'd get the harsher more sporty version and ruin it with an auto. MAYBE if it was a DCT I'd let it go, but come on! http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2016/11/8/This-Is-Why-We-Want-The-Nissan-370Z-Nismo-To-Live-Forever-7736334/ ( sorry if this is in the wrong section, please move accordingly and delete this part in brackets, thanks mods, you're awesome )

I don't mean to be harsh, but if you have read that many posts, you'd see that it varies. I'm lazy and only checked 3 sites, and they varied from week to week. Typically people use; Oponeo Black circles Tyreleader Feel free to google any more, these are just the 3 I use cause, like I said, I'm lazy. Please check the descriptions carefully, as sometimes they will have two of the same tyre, but one would be a lower load rating.

Black 350z sat under tree cleaning advice please?
Mikevv replied to skidder's topic in Car Detailing
I have a tree right next to my driveway - I have nicknamed it Satanwood - Car was covered in sap and leaves in like 3 days, admittedly bad of me but I didn't wash the car for 2 and a half weeks ( moving house ) and just the average rain got most of it off. My mum has a tree at work that likes to spray sap EVERYWHERE, and that usually washes off no hassle. Just use some lukewarm water and a gentle approach first, should be enough. -
I wouldn't be so quick to discredit veteran posters such as the guys above. They've spent years on here, and have seen it all. The baffled/larger sump logically makes sense. Would explain the low reading if its all sloshed to the one side, surely? ( not literally, just speaking hypothetically )

From what I remember they do fit, just have to take some trim bits off underneath the car?? I got mine from Bodyboarder81, and he had an HR, while I had a revup n it fit. My brother in law saw he had to take some underbody panels off ( look like the black bits in the middle of the pic - between the W brace and gearbox for reference ) http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/images/zbottom.jpg I have them lying in my garage somewhere, but I can't be bothered to take a pic. someone will confirm if they fit or not. If I recall, the cats do NOT

E92 M3 is a good bet for a "sensible car" - fits 4 comfortably, big boot, good looking, economical - Gets double digits for MPG, just don't tell her which digits Trying to convince my other half that a fast car is better than a house, but she said she can't live in my car, I replied with " I can, so see ya later " Good choice in all seriousness, comfy and plenty of room, while safe to drive - Enjoy it and glad you kept the Zed

Moved house - 15 miles - insurers want an extra £2000 HELP!!
Mikevv replied to Mikevv's topic in Forum Discounts
Right guys, all sorted. New address is correct, emailed them the changes ( they have online forms, as I hate call centres - Got in a HUGE argument with a non English speaking lady who essentially sold me 2 policies that ran side by side for this very car... ) All it cost was a £17 admin fee, no price hike or anything. Very chuffed. Sorry for all the drama -
You can insure a car you don't own, when you go on (the dreaded) Go Compare it will ask: Who is the legal owner Who is the keeper Where is the vehicle kept You can have a different answer for all three, as I had a car my mum technically owned with all the paperwork in her name, but I was the keeper and it was mostly kept at my work ( I worked 10 hour shifts ) It just complicates it, and if you can I'd just keep the car for a month and not change anything I'm currently with Elephant - part of the Admiral group - and they offer a 10 month "accelerator" policy - Gets me a years NCB for 10 months.

Dammit left my garage door open again, guys please ignore, my car is not for sale

Moved house - 15 miles - insurers want an extra £2000 HELP!!
Mikevv replied to Mikevv's topic in Forum Discounts
That's what I'm waiting for them to tell me. Got a new quote and it goes up around £100 I think, but thats without my dad and an entirely new quote, My current policy runs out in April - I'd rather get the 3rd year NCB, but not for £2000 hahaha Just a waiting game now I suppose?? see what they come back with? -
Moved house - 15 miles - insurers want an extra £2000 HELP!!
Mikevv replied to Mikevv's topic in Forum Discounts
They were all in the £1200-£1500 range - had 3 quotes like that, so I doubt they were too low, and my quotes for my old house are still in the same price range haha gonna have to wait it out n call around I guess
