  1. I got one.. Can't fault it, £220 is what I paid (not L&G) with all the ancillaries (slave, cable, etc). Worth the little extra dollar over the standard I'd say.
  2. Yeah I don't disagree with you there, when I ejected mine they always seemed a bit foggy... Explains why most have issues in the winter.
  3. I have been using shell helix in mine for two years without any issues... I'd grab a litre bottle as well to top up, mine used 750ml over 5k, which I don't think is abnormal (non-uprev) I used motul gear 300 I think it was called for the diff, really easy with one of those £8 suction oil things (if that makes any sense to you at all).
  4. Weird impact, side on? ( no scratches seems to suggest wasn't an impact from moving traffic alongside?) What's on the other side of the road, someone reversing out might have hit it? Reminds me I need a dash cam.. (not that it might have helped here)
  5. If its just the CD player skipping then you can do the aux hack instead? http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/45398-how-to-bose-phono-ipod-hack-guide/
  6. I guess there can be multiple reasons for the skipping, I'm with randy though, the aux hack is pretty easy if you follow the guide and I linked my aux up to a Bluetooth receiver. Whilst you're stripping you could carefully clean the components if CD's are your thing.. You could probably use the spray to clean your VHS and Betamax too whilst your at it ;-)
  7. Yeah this is something I do if I can't find a better space such as a corner or end.. I did move a road cone I found in a car park once and put it in front of the bay next to mine; it was clear that the space was fine I prayed on the laziness of others and it paid of! ... Now if only a road cone fit in the boot. (PS. I work for a leasing company and we still care about damage)
  8. People who just fling their doors open really get me going - so many dents í ½í¹ I guess I could just tap them out like father ted did.
  9. They still come out with something. The other year I was paying just £60 to insure my Yamaha R1 for 12 months. I always pay in full up front. 3 months into the policy I wanted to add another bike to the policy so I gave the company a call. They didnt do multi bike, and because I had used all my NCB on the R1 they wanted £600 to insure the Ducati. Even though I can only physically ride one bike at once, and its zero extra risk to them as it was 3rd party only insurance. In fact the Ducati is miles slower than the R1 so you could argue its actually better risk for them if im riding that instead of the R1. But no, they dont see it like that. In the end I said fair enough, I will cancel the policy and go elsewhere, as I can get both insured for just £120 with a competitor. 3 months into a 12 month policy I was expecting a refund of about 75% minus a "handling fee". Oh no. They wanted £80 from me to cancel my policy! Thats on top of the £60 id already paid for the years insurance. The reason being is that their small print had the usual handling fee which was £25 for any adjustments, plus an early cancellation fee, plus they had also had a condition that if you cancelled your policy at any point before the 12 months were up then any discount you were given on the premium was invalid and there you had to pay the full amount for those 3 months... etc. etc. Ridiculous. Sounds about right... I pay £85 a year got my baby VFR lol, I dread to think what the fees are for cancelling part way through.
  10. Discs are on my to-do list; these look like a good option post christmas.
  11. When I first got my Zed I did a major service myself and I had my injectors cleaned by Injector tune (website is obvious) they have an example of their 'results' on their website. I sent them off and they had them back in 3 days, they did a before and after flow chart etc and replaced the o'rings; £12.50 per injector. Not sure if that helps
  12. Lol... Feel better now Juggalo? ...I do agree though it's basically all smoke and mirrors, even if you wanted to cancel you'd get a early termination fee because its on credit, unless you paid up front of course then I don't know what their excuse is.
  13. My bad, I should have thought about that! Cheers Randy.
  14. Unfortunately so, the airbag is secured with some kind of special anti-tamper bolt that you wont have a bit to fit unless you purchased one. A lot of faff involved for something as simple as removing the plastic surround around the buttons I think this is the bugger: http://www.ebay.com/...0-/191219045544 Cool, thanks for this.. yeah what a ball ache.
  15. Thank Randy I will take a look around for some advice first, pretty confident with doing my own work so will give it a go. When you say security screws any heads up on what to expect so I can prepare, is there a special bit I need?
  16. Ginger Zed with spats etc, Pulled in behind you. Spotted around 5pm, might have given us an indicator flash or might have been I locking the car lol. Couldn't see in the window cos of the light that time of day so would have ignored you if you had given us a wave. Was feeling antisocial as just been battling taking off suspension without any power tools or a breaker bar.
  17. Likewise, I use my GT wheels as a winter set..
  18. Mines doing this and I was thinking of respraying... Are they easy to remove?
  19. Seconded, have a good look for rust all round. At the back literally get your hand up in the arches and rub under the sill to check how much dirt has built up there as samsniss350z said. I am approaching 95k, buy original clutch went at 89k so anything around 70-90k on an original clutch I'd be put some aside for a replacement and making sure that's reflected in the price (£750-£1000 without going mad). I always like the car to be cold when I arrive to see what she sounds like cold and then hot, check the oil pressure as she warms up - Already mentioned. Ask about any evidence of being run on his octane rather than regular for a bonus (I should have read all the posts above properly). Check both windows work (as already mentioned). So all the stuff has already been said - Oh I have one... Its a bit of a ballache but if you can or have a look the ability too check the spark plugs in Cylinder 6 (think it was 6 anyway). The DE (maybe the HR?) suffered from leaky rocker cover gasket which seemed to mainly affect one side more than the other, (furthest plug on the right side when looking at the car from the front). The gasket forms part of the rocker cover and the whole units are very expensive (for what they are). There is a DIY kit (ask Torquen/Adrian), but involves taking a hole cutter to your rocker cover depending on how confident you are at that sort of thing.
  20. I tried two BT adaptors with no luck but found that a WiFi one worked fine. UK 2004 model with an android.
  21. when I read this the first time I thought you were asking if someone on here could take your car round to get your alloys refurbished for you! I thought very trusting of you... then I read it again.
  22. if you're looking for wheels to put winter tyres on, i wouldn't buy those at that price... take a look in the ads for sale here, for example these or these standard touring wheels were/are a little bit cheaper, there a quite a few around are a lot cheaper here; i've seen "tatty" rays for that price... I think Bradderz had some but was collection in SE London for around £200/£250 - I use these as my winter set and the difference is very noticeable although its a big step from 275 to 245 on the rear for me. In fact hell, give me £200 and I will post you mine! ha-ha. The touring wheels should be running 225 on the front 245 on the rear as well. just my 2 pence
  23. Lexx, Saying its sent 18 October 2016 - 22:23?? I Will send again.
  24. Nope, currently sat in my spare room ;-) I'll let Rory confirm
