  1. Hmm ok allow me to perhaps explain my earlier post. I have no issue with forum traders, or recommending forum traders and I'm certainly in no form of denial about what excellent service they provide. The point I was trying to highlight is that when a topic is created asking for opinions/prices (not recommendations) and the responses are all largely trader promotions, it kills any form of discussion. Why even use a forum If theres no discussion happening and people are merely repeating the same tired "PM my favourite trader" responses? Hopefully I've explained It a little better this time.
  2. This right here is what I hate about this site, the blatant trader shilling! The OP started a topic asking for Brake options/opinions and PRICES and yet half of the replies are nothing more than advertisements of "PM my favourite trader". Seriously why, are you guys shareholders?
  3. I've found BlackDiamond 6 groove discs and BlackDiamond pads all around for £340 from www.larkspeed.com or £341.76 from www.dcperformance.co.uk I couldn't find better prices after shopping around.
  4. Id be more concerned about what it says of the owners attitude towards the car. If they cant even be bothered to get it serviced, what else have they skimped on or put-off too? 95 Ron comes to mind for starters.
  5. Name me one track that allows over/undertaking at the entrance to bends though? Its pretty obvious from his position the Atom was going for the racing line before being cut up.
  6. Why did the Yeti driver undertake on the inside at the enterence to a bend!? **** move right there IMO.
  7. Its a 350z thing, they all do that so a new clutch wont solve it I believe.
  8. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121376156231 Job done. I bought 2 boxes (one for the front, one for the rear) and never had any problems.
  9. I was hoping they would try an alternative method (to cone filter in an enclosure) but it seems the same as all the others so far design wise at least?
  10. No your not unless I'm being blind? The list is: 1. Sargara - 2x 20mm. 2. Westyno9- 1 set 20mm 1 set 25mm 3. ZeppoJeff - 1 set 20mm 1 set 25mm 4. Masa - 1x20mm 1x25mm
  11. Checkout the groupbuy being arranged by EPR, there's a -25% discount to be had: http://www.350z-uk.c...cers-group-buy/
  12. Not quite Neil. Warranty company told Connor he hadn't purchased the correct warranty product, Junction17 told him they didn't know of the warranty product being refered to by the company. I think the meeting was intended to educate Junction17 on what products they should be offering customers like Connor instead of spouting their usual "this is the best warranty you can buy, it covers everything m8" line.
  13. No surprises there really Connor and It does reek of "being fobbed off". First the person who was trying to sort out the mess goes ill, then quits/fired. Now the so called warranty company directors don't show for a meeting? I don't know about the car dealership world but if one of my suppliers (warranty company) failed to attend a meeting I would be changing suppliers!
  14. Our cars are relatively rare at the end of the day so I doubt you will find somewhere with a reconditioned 350z gearbox on the shelf,. I think your only options would be being without your car for X days while your gearbox is removed, reconditioned and refitted. Or sourcing a 2nd hand gearbox and sending it off to be reconditioned. The latter will be more expensive but less inconvience. I've used Agency Transmissions in the past for my Clio sport and they were very reasonable with price, give them a call for a quote: Address: Unit 17k/Shrub Hill, Worcester WR4 9EL Phone:01905 24896
  15. Probably more down to the rest of us not being as rich blooded as you to splash out on unnecessary toll roads
  16. Yes mine is a DE, but also lower mileage than yours (34k). I know the syncro's are prone but I would assume that only explains the crunch, not the whine in 1st. Have you driven another 350z to compare this percieved drivetrain issue with?
  17. I cant help with the costs unfortunately but I just wanted to say Ive got exactly the same issues (whine in 1st, crunch going 1st to 2nd) but I just live with it, so I will be interested to know what you get quoted.
  18. Yeah that is always the case maddog. Do you go current tech for use in a day to day environment (Windows7) or do you future proof and go Windows8. I can only speak from my company/clients but Windows7 is still very much the norm when it comes to the vast majority of the devices I deal with. It's your call theres no right/wrong answer as skills from either would be transferable.
  19. You're best bet would be to invest in a micro-server and get a couple of VM's up and running and use this a practice environment to work through something like a Microsoft Windows 7 cert: https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-gb/exam-70-685.aspx Pretty much any IT support role will require/benefit from having an offical Microsoft qualification under your belt. Without something like the above you will be restrained to HelpDesk type phone jobs.
  20. Cheers I'll let you know when it arrives but I assume it wont as its been paid, hence the price jump from £90 to £113. Do you have details of who manufacturers OEM Genuine Nissan so I can compare?
  21. Aftermarket, but I imagine all from the same source one has a Nissan sticker applied the other doesnt as with most manufacturers.
  22. Kinda rapey stalking past owners dont you think? I had the mother of an owner of my old Cliosport phone me up once asking probing questions about the car I part-exchanged. It just seemed she was fishing for information to back her up in a dispute with the garage she purchased it from, I didnt want to get involved so i declined providing any information.
  23. I know about the Youtube videos on disasembling the motor, replacing bushes etc but thats not my idea of easy DIY if it needs a Soldering Iron. Given the options of £300 Nissan OEM, £~120 used on eBay or £113 new from America I have made my choice.
  24. Hi Chris, Unfortunately I cant stretch to £1100 for an ARK like I would have wanted so please put me down as interested in this. Is it possible to have standard tips without the burnt effect? Id prefer that if so. Regards
