  1. Good luck with figuring this out. If it fails theres always the Ebay route which is known to work: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321067673609?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  2. Why spend all that money on a bodykit/paint and then not look after it by going to a Tesco? car wash where some E.European will scrub it down with a sponge/bucket full of grit. You might as well just set fire to £5 for the amount of good its doing!
  3. Well I was not expecting this topic to turn out like this when I contributed above, but to be fair my comment was aimed at the Nottingham branch so I technically fall into the "not a Peterborough" customer category but rather a Junction17 customer. To give the "Customer Care Team" the benefit of the doubt I also did not submit a complaint regarding my experience posted above as it was my opinion/persception on the sale process overall and their manner/handling of me as a customer rather than a particular unresolved issue that needed attention and would benefit from a complaint.
  4. In an ideal world sure, but not everyone is in the situation where they dont have a Part-Ex and have cash burning a hole in their pocket. Warranty had nothing to do with it (for me at least). Id just like to contribute that Junction17 Nottingham were no better with me either. Copy/paste from when i posted this previously: I purchased a 350z from them in November (Nottingham branch) and was initially impressed! I wanted my friend to have the test drive on my behalf as he owns a 350z and knows what to look for whereas I have no idea whats normal and whats not, but the salesman (Ian?) ended up chucking us the keys and letting us go off on our own test drive, result! Deposit left. However things turned for the worse when it came to the weekend collection and meeting their manager (Lee?) and I had to sit through 20mins of him and his colleague chipping in trying to force their warranty upon me. They convientently had already applied for the finance with warranty included and would now have to "re-do the lot without warranty etc" despite me telling their receptionist when she phoned this was not wanted. When this didnt work they tried bribing me with free services to take it, then switched to stressing it was only an extra "£30pcm" repeatedly etc. Very patronising and awkward! I then went to leave only to find the car had both key batteries flat, and a bodged drivers door window motor (pinch doesnt work, its dieing).. So yeah my experience with them could be better I suppose as the initial impression was very positive but there wasn't much choice within a 50 mile radius.
  5. Thanks, can I ask is it normal for it to hang this low? Does that not cause any clearence issues? Thanks for that. Does that mean Torqen resell stock from yourself or are there other EU distributors? The wording doesnt make it very clear sorry.
  6. Bumping this thread. Noticed Torqen supplies are there any other reviews/owners other than Zedd above?
  7. Sorry if im asking something obvious but what brand/make is that gearknob?
  8. I saw the link and thought "hmm why pay £200 for a 2nd hand system when you can buy a brand new one for $237.99" but then i changed the shipping address to United Kingdom and it added $380.78 postage.....
  9. Random question JakeeyB. The new bumper doesnt have headlight washers from the looks of it, what did you do with them? Remove, Unplug etc?
  10. It refers to the engine. The 350z came with: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_VQ_engine#VQ35DE http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_VQ_engine#VQ35HR DE, HR. 2007 onwards cars had a facelift and more power.
  11. Americans confirmed as terrible drivers? Nothing new there.
  12. She sounds like a keeper lol. I wouldnt put my other half through it and I think it would stop me enjoying it as much If i felt responsible for someone else. Hard to explain but Its the same when i give lifts to other people I suddenly switch to patient chaffeur mode without realising!
  13. Id say you are "getting away with it" due to the time of year and cooler temps. I reckon come summer time if you get caught in traffic you may start getting issues, just bare it in mind
  14. Great topic but Im unsure about this. Wouldnt this new number plate location reduce the engine bay airflow? You have effectively halfed the surface area that the radiator has access to?
  15. With the upcoming v8 Mustang coming in at £32,995 whatever Nissan decide on doing needs to come in either at the same price point or cheaper, the latter if they consider ditching the v6 for a turbo!
  16. Filled up yesterday at Shell in Nottingham £116.9! Its heading in the right direction at last!
  17. Sorry if it came across that way but that wasnt the point I was trying to make. The fact that these wheels do not fit as desired and the OP is having to perform "mods" to make them fit (spacers, rolled arches) are to my mind what classes them as bodges, he is having to do them to get the result he wants not because he wants to "mod". Hopefully that makes sense now, sorry for any mix up. Anyway this is taking it offtopic so I'll leave it now. Good luck getting things sorted OP whatever you decide!
  18. My 04 car was owned by someone like this previously, its on 32000 currently and looking at the previous MOT's its only done an average of 2k every year. It means theres a supply of nice low mileage examples for people like me who will not be following their example
  19. At the end of the day if the wheels dont fit, they dont fit. Trying to roll archers, fit spacers etc just to accomodate a particular wheel design are all compromises when you could have just spent the £££ on wheels that are produced in sizes that do fit correctly. I just dont get spending all that cash and then end it with bodges.

    GAP Insurance

Buy a £17k car on finance, due to interest this is now £19k for arguments sake owed. 1yr later due to depreciation the car is now worth £14k but finance is still £17k. You have an accident and the insurance company can find same spec, mileage cars available for £14k and so write you a cheque for £14k. Take a guess where the Finance company will expect that missing £3k to come from?
  21. Are they still producing PS2's or is it just a case of purchasing up old stock until it runs out now? I thought PS3 was supposed to replace PS2 so I'd be surprised if they were still manufacturing both. My Megane 250 came with PS2's as standard, amazing tyre but expensive and quick wearing!
  22. Cheers I'll keep an eye out too. Do you have any pics of the Plastidip applied? I've got an aerosol can of Matt Black I've had knocking around for a while now but never got around to using it. I dont want to bother if it looks pap
  23. Cheers I was thinking black JDM Z badges to replace the Nissans, and a rear diffuser http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/GB/350Z_FRP_TS_JDM_REAR_DIFFUSER/350TSFRPJDMRD_.aspx Maybe even try Plastidipping the wing mirrors and front lip below the grill perhaps. But not now, this is the wrong month to be spending more money
  24. I suppose this is sort of my introduction post as well as I havent shared any details yet previously. I picked my 350z up from Junction17, not the ideal spec I wanted but with only 32000 miles I had to have it. The car came with standard Touring rims and advisories on all 4 tyres being low. So an order was placed at Camskill for 4 Goodyear Eagle F1's and I decided to kill 2 birds at once and pickup a set of Rays from eBay. Then I also spotted TarmacSportz's Xmas 10% discount code and so begins the slippy mod slope.... Then the postman delivered these this morning. Can you guess what it is yet? Then with the weather being nice and having a day to myself I decided to give the car a wash. Trying out some new product: Before: And finished: Thanks for looking.
  25. Thats £300 more than a set of Goodyear Eagle F1's tho. Which is the point those of us with them fitted are trying to make, for the price you cant beat them! Only negative I've found after a couple hundred of miles is the amount of stones they pick up lol (edit) Just noticed you have a 370z so the prices probably arent the same, my bad.
