  1. I think this is a members car, but I will let him respond!
  2. Love: This forum and the local groups The exclusivity The shape The colour The sound (Ark Grip) The interior (I know it is marmite on here but coming from a succession of Porsches I think it is a nice place to be. And I drive all the way down to Southern Spain) The car's characteristics (reminds me of when sports cars went from hairy chested driving machines i.e. TR6s to the less than enthralling TR7) The auto flappy paddle box (sooo glad we went auto it just suits the engine) Rev matching The response the car gets (everyone just wants to look at the car and says so nice to see something unusual, rather than the hordes of Boxsters seen on the roads) Dislikes: VED Worry over iffy oil gallery gaskets when the warranty runs out No rake on steering wheel No rear parking sensors Standard tyres, cannot wait to get some MPSS on Its propensity to pick up any stone chip it can (worse than any car I have ever owned) That this year she is tucked up in a Carcoon for the winter
  3. Is there an engine number, that after, all engines were fitted with the revised gaskets or VIN which would let you know if your 2011 or 2012 car is vunerable or if it would have had the revised gaskets?
  4. Adrian Sutil, he's German, experienced, talented and without a drive. Then there's a number of other drivers, Pierre Gasly, GP2 Champion for example. Pete Sutil and Hamilton a big NO! Major issues between the two from Sutil's court case.
  5. Welcome, quite a few of us around the Weymouth area
  6. Is this from the new car warranty booklet or the used car warranty booklet?
  7. I specifically asked about fitting an aftermarket exhaust as the original was rusting badly Nissan warranty approved this, I obviously took the name of the person, date and time and emailed him confirming discussion. Rob
  8. Dicky, yes I found my 370 slightly harder than my 350 and it was only slightly, although I soon adjusted to this and really do not notice it any more as it is just a much nicer place to be. I think tyres make a big difference to ride, tramlining and noise. With MPSS seemingly addressing most issues. Rob
  9. I had a titanium one on my old 350Z. It was the most wonderful sounding exhaust, better even than my current 370Z Ark Grip. Does this have the Z engraved on the centre of the rear box as the Titanium does? Rob
  10. Ask for the old lock back. You will be able to see the part number. I believe it is the B part number lock that is a problem, which yours probably is even with a later VIN. Locks after recall were C and D part numbers. Others feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but this should help you in your challenge with Nissan.
  11. My local Nissan performance dealer is awful. Even the parking area is so tight it is almost impossible to get in and out of a car so less careful clients are likely to ding doors. A member on here had his bumper damaged in the parking area...a real battle to get them to repair it.Mine also goes to Horsham even with a 3 hour drive. At least our traders care!
  12. My feelings exactly. Such a shame, I enjoyed the first episode but the second was awful apart from these two bits.
  13. Agree with this. A friend of mine runs a high end car storage company, he will never disconnect a battery for long term storage. Modern ECUs don't really like it, better to leave on a battery conditioner.
  14. Pull the fuse and replace with a blown replacement!
  15. Sorry to hear this. Heck, how many miles has it done?
  16. Hi friend i live in Genova airport zone Hi Diego, we were just down the road in Arenzano. Still have lots of friends in the city and loved the roads from there up into Piedmonte. I had a 1960 Giulietta Spider Veloce during my time there. Awesome. Rob
  17. Welcome Diego, Where abouts in bella Italia are you? We lived in Genoa for 5 years, you have some awsome roads over there. Rob
  18. Rear and wheels of the Mk1 and the front end of the Mk2 for me.
  19. A superb looking 370Z, well done. Nismo front end on a 370Z Roadster...Hmmm! I would, but I just don't think it would work on Black Cherry, it needs the contrast to show of the red insert, Storm White is the perfect colour.
  20. I just used booking.com, actually got a room upgrade for £5 more.
  21. Try just fitting a gauge under the bonnet. You only need to check hot idle every so often, if you then see variances, spend the money and change the gaskets.
  22. I should add though, that I have 16 months left of an extended Nissan warranty, which gives me some piece of mind!
  23. Wow that would freak me out I'm afraid, waiting for one year seems risky enough never mind 3yrs. Its possible that the fault could develop as soon as you drive away from the garage. H-Dev did mine and the pressure was as good as they had seen on a 370 so I am not concerned.Plus as Richf keeps stating you will start to see the engine run rough if they start to deteriorate.
  24. I have my oil pressure tested every P3 service, it is easy to do costs next to nothing and will show if mine are deteriorating. As Rich said poor running will highlight any problem before it becomes serious.
