So today I drove up to meet Steve916 to help me with my auto folding mirror mod. Turned out my wiring was correct but the splicing hadn't gone through the insulation. Once we'd done mine we did his one in about 20mins. All in all a good day with two of Flyboy's happy customers Also I did the flip key mod today too It works fine when I put the key in one way, but if I flip and try the other way it doesn't turn, but I can live with it...for now

I got them off Steve at Redline Styling at the beginning of the year. They fit spot on although I have heard of others not fitting quite so well

Yeah the HD wax says to let it sit for 10-15mins so I figured just do the whole car and then go back to the first panel and start buffing All done by hand my friend

I know what you mean mate, spent 4hrs on the zed today! But the feeling when you step back and admire the shine, it's well worth it

Whilst removing one of the boot struts I accidentally broke one of the boot poppers. Does anyone have one going spare or someone breaking a zed that they can just twist one off for me please?

Also with the help of my cousin we changed the boot struts to the SGS uprated ones Old struts Boot stays open on its own woo!

Highlights for this year include my first Japfest and Wales trip getting to know more people on the forum and having mini local meets with fellow zedders. Also the mods I've done along the way, best of them all my full exhaust system Not-so-good points are picking up 6 points on my previously clean licence from the Wales trip and almost writing off my zed and my daily by forgetting the zed was in gear, stepping in to turn it on and lifting my foot off the clutch only for it to shoot straight out of my drive heading towards my polo parked across the road, only stopping inches from it when I managed to wrench my foot free from the clutch and slamming on the brakes! Biggest brown pants event ever with the zed

Lol why don't you come along for the drive Brad? it's just that the colour coding changes on the HR so I wanna make sure I've done it right, and would be good to compare with another HR

If you want more power, supercharge your zed you'll get a lot more than 60bhp increase for your money!

Steve in Huntingdon has kindly offered to give me a hand with this. He's a sparky by trade so shouldn't have issues with making sure the electrical connections are correct. He's also got a HR as well and he's going to be doing his on the same day. Will also give me an opportunity to take the zed out for a nice blast up the M11 on Sunday morning and get to meet another fellow forum member. Smiles all around

Thanks for coming back to me Martin I think the problems may be the splicing issues that most people have had. I'll be attempting it again this weekend, however if there's anyone who's close to London (or within an hour's drive of) and has done the mod, and is available over the weekend at all for me to come down to them to give me a helping hand that would be much appreciated

What issue did you have mate? Is yours a HR by any chance Does anyone know if the wiring is different on a HR?
