So Bradders, AP427z and I drove up to Royston for the meet last night and sad to say we were disappointed. There was all the hype of getting there and getting maps for the drive out, etc but when we got there it was just so rammed that people were just shoved into the local 24hr Tesco car park. The drive itself was pretty disappointing too, it was literally the route back home from which we came up and then just further down to Southend. So the three of us decided that we'll go back down the A1, take a quick break at South Mimms and then have our own little detour through the City of London and end at a tunnel run near Embankment A few pics here from the night and a quick video of the tunnel run at the end in my zed. I was coming down Horns Road from Ley Street, you were in the opposite direction stuck in traffic. I slowed down, flashed and made a hand gesture of acknowledgement - you just stared and ignored. What is it with London zedders (who aren't on this forum) that just ignore fellow zedders? Really annoys me, especially when you rarely see a zed around anyway, and when you do they act like t*ts. Same thing happened last night at the Paul Walker memorial meet in Royston. Went up with Bradders (Brad) and ap427z (Arthur) and we saw a 350z wrapped in army green and we went over to the driver to make conversation, but he wasn't being very conversational at all and didn't seem interested to talk to us...

That's gonna bring back some sad memories for Matt

Have you got NCB on both cars? When I tried to insure a cheapie old banger for a daily car, most insurance companies were quoting me £900 for my zed (that was with 20 years NCB and a clean license) and then wanted £800 to insure some old banger as I had no NCB on it. So for me that made it uneconomical to run 2 cars and so I ended up just running my zed all year around. I even tried the so called multi car policies and they were actually more expensive. Yes mate I have 2yrs on the polo and 1yr on the zed. I need my polo as my daily to be honest so it's a sacrifice I have to make

don't like that at all! The wrap - not the car - love the car

I plasti-dipped mine the first time round but I didn't like the rubbery feel of the handle after a while. So I took it all off, sanded down, and just re-sprayed satin black and then lacquered it. Prefer the smoother finish Edit: Car looks good otherwise though mate. Got the alezan seats in mine too and the GT4 wheels

Glad you sorted it. £1700!!!!....and there was me thinking they were 'sportscar insurers'!!? errrrrrrr Tell me about it! To be fair the guy I spoke to was nice enough to tell me I'd be better off elsewhere anyway and apologised that he couldn't do any better. Well that's another year sorted, now just gotta wait 6 months to be hit with the £500 road tax

So got it all sorted now. Adrian Flux wanted 1700 just for the zed!! No thank you! Ended up going with sky insurance and they got my premium down to 1260 for both my zed and polo (business insurance on polo too) and all mods covered like for like. Was the cheapest I could get with the points, the low NCB I have and I'm more satisfied with mods getting covered like for like Thanks all for your input

Sucks that my insurance renewal falls in the most expensive month of the year! Searched around a few places, spoke to Adrian Flux and Prestige and they were wayyyy too expensive. Re-quoted with Admiral and together with my daily runner Polo, cheapest they could do is £1500...I'm guessing this is bumped up due to the 6 points I picked up in Wales Going to check with Sky and Chris Knott tomorrow as well to see if they can do any better. Any other recommendations?
