Quick video uploaded by my son after our brief visit on Saturday. Great to see so many Zed's together. Shame that the rain did not stop while we were there and he was not able to take some proper pictures and video. Great drive home though - some torrential rain, near empty roads, but amazed how sure footed the 350Z was.

Nissan don't do Temper Orange either. There are some companies on the internet that will mix it for you if you give them the paint code.

Random one, anyone involved in the Scout Association?
Ponsonby replied to AliveBoy's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Yes, officially Cub Scout Leader, although tend to cross over between all sections. I focus on the outdoor skills, cant be doing with anything 'arts and crafts'. Takes up way too much of my time but is incredibly rewarding. It is astonishing how many kids have never even been camping, let alone climbing, kayaking, etc. and they just love the bushcraft and backwoods stuff (as do I). Well done on the Queens Scout Awards - great result. One of our Explorers / Young Leader got into Cambridge last year and they told him that he had got in due to his Scouting achievements - made him stand out and showed commitment. -
Hi James I'm in Nantwich so may see you around. 313 Temper Orange - you can't miss me Of course I wont know its you because we have no pics of your car - yet!

What time do you folks get back from the drive out on Saturday, approximately? Intending to have a mooch over and say 'hello'. Plus a Temper Orange will add some good colour to your photo's : ) -
I think that as long as you use a decent independent to do the servicing then it will not make a difference to the history if it is not Nissan. I prefer to buy cars with a fully stamped book, and copies of invoices, rather than one that has been owner serviced. Many owners will do a first rate job of servicing but if you don't know them then it is a gamble.

I am in Nantwich and have always used ABP Motorsport in Shavington to look after my performance cars.
-
I am still after standard air boxes. Have you put them back on or are they available? Cheers.

For servicing of my 'toys' I use a local independent garage that specialises in performance cars. Much cheaper than main dealers, always do a good job and 'cherish' the car while it is in. I have proper services done by them because most people looking to buy a performance car want a proper service record, as would I. For the 'family' cars I use another independent that is reliable but cheaper and will stamp the service book even for just an oil change. In this way I can get the stamp for £40-£50 and do the rest of the servicing myself.

I am guessing from the amount of alcohol that you only have a couple of mates coming round ?

Great racing and well done to Lewis. Last season I was getting very bored with F1 to the point where I stopped watching it. Last night renewed my enthusiasm - really hope that Lewis can win the title this year. He deserves it.

So you live in Chester and yet are not going to use it as a track day car for Oulton Park? Most of the bends at Oulton are right so you already have the geometry set up for it. Good advert - nearly put a bid in myself and I don't even want a Prelude although I am not far from Oulton myself. Really want to do trackdays but my 350 is to precious to risk.

Only £13K, think yourself lucky. Makes me weep every time I write the cheque. Nice dividend though

Surprised that Chips Away cant fix it. Try another company, maybe the Chips Away guy is not very experienced. I had them fix a scratch (vandalised) on wife's black metallic car some years back and after they had done it I could not even find where the scratch had been. Middle of the bonnet. 3 years later when car sold you could still not tell.

Ah, yes. It's my fault. How silly of me.

I am sure that most of us married men have been in a similar position. A few years back, while having to do a very tight U turn with no visibility, my wife was asked to watch and tell me when to stop. Reverse, reverse, crunch, STOP! To this day, and even with 3 kids as witnesses, it was my fault apparently! Perhaps you can get RS8055 to help you pull the dents out with his strong right arm : ) -
2009, 58 plate, 52,000 miles. Plenty of miles by previous owner Helimeddaz. Jetset Pete - 2,500 miles a year? Is that just reversing out out garage, polishing, and putting back again

We should start our own 4007/350z owners club We clearly have impeccable taste in cars

I have a Peugeot 4007, Peugeots version of the Outlander (built in Japan). Superb vehicle and one I don't mind driving - 165bhp and shed load of torque so very effective at overtaking. Not bad handling either for a cheap 4x4. Good fun off road too, scared the sh*t out of my wife a few times with my antics. Mainly used for dog, camping and scouting activities coz my 350z cant do this stuff.

Having owned a Type R and now a 313 350Z I can assure you that you have made the right choice. Type R was good fun if you like to thrash a car but 350z far more relaxed power delivery. And 350Z way more comfortable too! Economy not much different either, Type R never got vaguely close to published figures. Enjoy.

Sorry, did not realise you had not viewed the car. Agree that I would not leave any deposit before I had actually viewed the car. Good luck with your search, it will be worth the wait. Got my 313 late last year and love it.
-
It says that you can get a refund but only for full months unused. So if you sell the car on 1st of the month both the old and the new owner will have to pay tax for that month - that's how I interpret it anyway.
-
Any seller usually wants a token deposit, even if just £50. Less chance of you messing them around. Had my fair share of tyre kickers so would also want a 'small' deposit to show intent to buy. Always view car at sellers house and make sure address on V5 is the same - should be pretty safe that way. Leather bolsters can be repaired. Just find a decent company that can do it, some can work miracles. You need a specialist leather refurb company. Mine going in soon because also want my 'baby' perfect.

Yes OK, I do like to touch up my car but I am actually looking for Temper Orange touch up stick. Nissan reckon they don't sell one, very useful. Has anyone got hold of one from anywhere that is a good match? Thanks for the help.
