  1. The "issue" you told me I didnt have anything to worry about as has another specialist?? If you'd wanted an update perhaps you should've answered my pm The car is off to H-Dev for a service today prior to selling and will be double checked but I think its fine, problem looks worse than it is as my gauge reads 5 psi low. So I'm not hiding anything and wont be selling the car on this forum anyhow so dont appreciate the inference.
  2. Didnt get the answer i needed on the forum and it would serve as a dead end for future potential searches
  3. What is it that disappoints you about it? Did u buy a dog of a car? Its hardly a dog , no worse than any other 55k one I dont think, and the HR is much nicer than the earlier ones imo. Think I should have bought one with less miles, the zeds dont hide their miles well, my GTT was twice the age and twice the miles and in better shape all round. Think I have just found out i need to increase my budget to get the car I want, or spend a shed load on mine, which I dont really want to do so i'm looking at options, thats all. I am fussy , I admit it i want mint or as close as I can get and I do prefer the 370 looks wise but its a lot of money to spend on what for me is a weekend toy but as I said the wife likes it so I can add an extra £10k to my budget
  4. Like what though? my daily is boosted in fact double boosted but I like the power delivery of the 350 the flat torque etc it suits my driving style Think essentially I want something with less miles that I can keep nice rather than have to spend a fortune getting it nice Plus this is the first car I've had ever had my wife likes so I can increase my budget a fair bit
  5. Probably 20k for LS unless you can do the work yourself
  6. Not happy with 350 , think I'll try something newer
  7. That's a pretty stupid thing to say really ! Everyone is concerned about economy to some degree , I have a very long history of thirsty cars and don't have a problem with it , my 350 does 24mpg or so on average according to the display and that's fine , some of the reviews I've read/watched on the 370z suggested 16-18mpg now that's a big difference , I've had cars with close on 500hp that were better than that. So I don't mind a thirsty car but I'd want significantly more performance than the 370 offers Plus filling up every 200miles is tiresome I've been there with my Evo 6 having an extra 120-130 out of each tank makes a difference to me.
  8. Drunk as well , unforgivable !
  9. Thinking about changing my 350 hr for a 370 auto Reviews I'm reading suggests the 370 is quite a bit worse on fuel than the 350 , guessing the auto won't help much either but any real world experiences ?
  10. The limit is the limit , the maximum speed would be whatever the gearing would support at maximum engine revs , doesnt do any engine much good to be sat at max rpm for long
  11. Just a point on speedo inaccuracy My speedo read 168mph on my speedo when i recorded this , at 70mph my speedo was about 6 mph out but its wrong to assume the level of inaccuracy is consistent for a start the tyre circumference really starts to grow at high speed. This was on my Evo 6 with over 380hp and I was on one of the longest runways in the UK (RAF Marham) , was frustrated not to top 150mph the official speed recorded with a Vbox was 149.95mph Conditions were less than ideal , stopping was interesting to say the least but this guy managed 218mph during a lull in the weather
  12. Can also be fitted in the chubby box as per my thread last week http://www.350z-uk.com/index.php?/topic/78806-Quick-and-easy-Sat-Nav-/-Phone-holder
  13. I'm considering the auto as well , my Skyline was tiptronic and my daily Skoda is the 7 speed dsg which is awesome
  14. Thought it might be based on the supplying dealer , shame its too far for me
  15. Is it still for sale and where are you based ?
  16. Makes a good case for one of these. To give a good background the tuner built this Evo X for a customer it was a 600hp build costing around £25k , he used to car to show of to potential customers including this 90+mph blast past a school in a built up area , the engine fialed shortly afterwards any the customer has been l;eft high and dry , over a year on this are still going on trying to get the guys money back Skip to about 2min http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ5B-oImYho or this one, where two mechanics took a Monaro for a blast
  17. When i had my GTST it had a power fc on it so I would set the upper rev limit to 3500rpm when it was likely to be driven by anyone else, took it for an mot once and the lad who drove it from the front of the garage to the back told me the car had a terrible misfire at 3500rpm , I replied why the hell are you driving above 3500rpm just running it around the unit??
  18. Mate of mine bought a Skyline GTST with patchy service history so first thing he did was book it in for a service and belt changes to be safe , the garage did the work and then the son of the garage owner took it for a "road test" Poor guy never even got chance to drive the car on boost Before After
  19. Happened to me twice when i had this , the kids loved to undo the bonnet pins, it would float up at about 50mph
  20. In your grandads day it may have been true but just think where the fuel pick up is ? Only crud that's floating on the top of the fuel would be drawn in when the tank is close to empty
  21. Let's not forget the man was a terrorist as well ! He wasn't always a peaceful man
