  1. I have the 400hd , wired it to the back of the cig lighter , dont have it running when the car is parked as thats not an issue for me Had it on my Skyline before, looking at getting another for my daily
  2. Once you pay cash into your account then its yours , a fraudulent transaction whether it be bank transfer, cheque or bankers draft all can be reversed !!
  3. It values my 313 HR 57 plate at around £7700, good luck getting an HR for that money !!
  4. I wash mine in the sink with fairy liquid and leave to dry on a radiator
  5. This is how the scam works Someone dishonest gets hold of some banking details/identity suchlike OR a dishonest person in the bank just says they have checked the relevant ID's and issues a bankers draft to the criminal. Crim goes and finds your car and they pay you with the draft , you bank the draft and the funds are immediately credited to your account UNTIL the fraud is discovered at which point the issuing bank can and WILL recall the money. You will have lost your car and whilst its fraud its not theft and even if you catch the guy who paid you with the dodgy draft then the Police will not help you get your money back and will tell you its a civil matter. The bank will not guarantee the money if fraud is involved , read the small print !! The same goes for direct bank transfers , if fraud is involved the bank WILL reverse it so always check i.d's I'm not saying never take a bankers draft or a bank transfer but check passport and or driving licence and take a photocopy of both , but there is no argument that cash is a lot simpler and safer Have a read of this !! http://www.pistonhea...306426&f=23&h=0
  6. A bankers draft is not as good as cash and should never be regarded as such. It's as safe as any other cheque , in other words you won't know if its good or if it's not until you bank it Shops worry about £50 notes because they rarely see them , many more fakes £1 coins around because they are cheap and easy to make and no one pays much attention to them
  7. Cash can be counterfeit but £50 notes are hard to do , bankers drafts are much easier , plus it would be easy to phone up a friend claiming to be your internet bank Ask your local shop if they will check the cash or buy a pen , my pub was happy to check mine
  8. Bankers drafts can bounce if they are drawn fraudulently !! Plus when was the last time you saw one ? So they are easily forged nowadays all you need is a good printer . Internet or telephone deals are good if there is good trust between the parties but im a firm believer in cash , if in doubt take a mate with you
  9. I find you need to apply it very very sparingly , just a light wipe so thin its hard to see any is on there at all , after a few mins this disappears and it should be easy to buff off
  10. Someone mentioned the S2000 and Boxster to me , i described the Boxster as a bit of a w8**ers car, my neighbour has one and he is one The s2000 is a nice car but no torque and having to work it to get it to go is tiresome , plus its slower , plus some of those interiors OMG!!
  11. Seems this is a common thing then ? I found this on mine at the weekend
  12. Horsham Dev is about an hour from Coventry

    Next car?

You wouldnt want a R35 then? A good modern auto is still rewarding to drive, the tiptronic in the Skyline is great on a fast road you can just flick between 2nd and 3rd using the lever or steering wheel buttons
  15. My Galaxy s4 fits in there in a humungous otterbox case which is 80mmx150mm so I expect so , it is a bit snug though
  16. Personally I hate sticking my sat nav on the screen , always looking for a neater solution. Post "Bose Hack" I had put a mount inside the chubby box but think I have found a neater solution I bought this item on ebay -230845694977, cost was £6.99 , its made of that flexible PU rubber so will stick a little , but the option to double sided tape it down is always there I removed the old rubber mat and used it as a pattern to cut this new mount to suit, its a easy job with a pair of decent scissors or sharp knife, I have angled it slightly to point towards the driver. Job done, it will take my phone , ipod or sat nav and the lid can be closed so a stealthy alternative to those give away rings on the windscreen.
  17. Nothing wrong with the turbo there apart from the spool up time measured in minutes If you look where the units are placed on many cars they are often well and truly exposed to the weather and rain etc , on the Evo for example they get the water through the grill and rad and also water from the bonnet vents when the car is parked
  18. Nope never , well only by accident , got down to zero once on another car
