Stock internals will do 450+ if mapped correctly , mine was running c475hp on totally stock engine
  2. friendly neighbour you are The sad fact is you can never stop a determined thief from stealing your stuff , you can however make it so much work that there are easier pickings elsewhere , it's a fact of life I'm afraid.
  3. Basic warranty is 3 years, there is a 5 year powertrain warranty as well You need to drive one , never heard a 370 being called the "sensible choice" before
  4. More important during the summer when the water can dry in the sun before you get a chance to towel it
  5. Here is the thread on DW that got me interested , has all the link and info you would need http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=104955
  6. It's a vessel filled with de-ionising resin
  7. I use a resin vessel for the final rinse , we have hard water and get water marks otherwise , last me about 12-14 months but I have three cars and occasional detail others for people
  8. FCM in Bristol are ok but I'd travel to Jez if you can

No the buttons have "grain of rice" bulbs it's these you can replace with LEDs , as said the quality street wrappers work well with the ac display and clock

its a fiddly job and you need to solder in led's , there is a good how to on the Skylines Australia site
  11. Nilfisk are better than Karcher because many of the internals are made from metal in the Nilfisk and are plastic in the Karcher . That said for occasional use the Karchers are fine and good value for money

    Redex ??

Redex has proven results dont include it with all those phoney performance additives. When building engines I used to soak my valves in redex and the old carbon just wipes off it However as said "some" premium fuels contain redex type additives Shell Nitro for example In the OP's case its really not required though, any detrimental effects of running low on fuel wont be fixed by adding Redex , it wont do any harm though
  13. Still haven't got over 24.5 on mine its averaging 24 at the moment but being an auto its never going to be as good on fuel as a manual and I am a little heavy footed. I was more worried about 16 or 17 being banded about but that's because most of the reviews were in the US with smaller gallons

    I can recommend blue
  15. Its happening often out of warranty on 4 or 5 year old cars between 30 and 60k so no support from Porsche Dozen have manufacturers have had major product issues and it impacts their business very little I'll take your word for it mate as youve obviously done your homework but I seriously cant see how Porsche c survive reputationally with a 30/40% catastrophic engine failure rate. I'm not saying its a fact just what I was told , it is however a known issue , google will confirm that

  17. When i was looking into it and asked around figures of 30-40% failures were banded about , about £4k for a rebuild
  18. I'd heard the Cayman rivals the Rx8 in the engine reliability stakes
  19. What's the current price and availability of 370 systems ?
  20. It's my old car, kinda regret selling it in some ways but not got anything to do with the sale
  21. http://www.nineteen80one.com/Skyline/ Doesn't fit on mileage but pretty similar in other ways
  22. I doubt they know anything about engine building
  23. Word of warning they are stainless steel and screw into the alloy block , so be very very careful tightening ! I would recommend draining the oil and applying a sealant to the new sensor NOT PTFE and allow it to dry for a few hours before refilling the oil and starting the car Just wait until next oil change if you can
