  1. The op said that he drives hard and on track back in post #37 , thats why I used that phrase in quotes , I didnt say track car and I'm not suggesting the GT86 is a track car but it will cope much better with that kind of use than a 370z, it still wouldnt be my first choice of a car to use on track days
  2. I have to say if someone came to me and said "I want something that I can drive hard on track" I wouldn't be suggesting a 370z , let alone a modified 370z, but equally would suggest anything mentioned here previously either apart from perhaps the GT86
  3. It can damage the top end particularly the camshafts, potentially writing off the engine
  4. I had to buy one for my R34 , £190 + vat and 6 weeks from Japan !
  5. We do it for £799 inc parts, labour and vat . We change the coolant , oil and oil filter so you could combine it with a service to save a little
  6. They make c10hp difference but it depends on the car
  7. I have to say it a you wont be the first and definitely not the last but the nipples are at the top of the caliper arent they ?
  8. Are you just cracking the nipple open as little as possible? Sometimes air can be drawn in via the nipples threads

    Burnouts

The 370z shuts the throttles if you try and do a burnout when holding the brake pedal its a function of the abs , if you pull the abs fuse it will do one just fine , dunno if the 350 is the same
  10. It does look nice , I was considering the RCF but the wife put the dampeners on that
  11. We have them in stock . but your local Nissan dealer should carry them
  12. Is the reg CF12 ***? If so I have a huge file of history on it
  13. Cant see the Golf getting anywhere near 40mpg either , my VRS with the lower power but very similar engine struggles to get mid 30's
  14. Many Nissan dealers use 10w40 because thats what most cars take It should be 5w30 but 5w40 is fine also
  15. I run MPSS also, I used to have Bridgestone Potenzas on the car and they were awful , bear in mind I run mine on a proper drag strip
  16. 13.2 -13.3 seems to be the norm for 370's imo , I managed a 13.0 last year in my car with just bolt on mods and a map, tyres are crucial though . I'm hoping for mid 12's this year
  17. Cheers Guys some stunning factual replies here. I would plan to mod the Z in the longterm for sure, a great handling and communicative machine is so important to me. Very true on the Caymen S engine problems. And for my budget i will get much more for my money with a Z then the Caymen. I much prefer the look of the Z to the Caymen mk1 mind. But i also want a really fun machine to drive for some time to come. Those of you who have upgraded your ARB's does this make a real difference to the dynamics of the car? Here is a video i found very interesting.... Damien. Yeah Chris Harris loves the GT86 , just drive one and see what you think. Think MX5 with a roof and you are about right , why people put them as an option with the 370z i dont know , they are totally different cars
  18. The Blackvue doesn't interfere with my satnav - so thats ok - don't know about DAB as the zeds radio is FM Some people have had issues with the blackvue and dab , not a problem in the zed as you say, but is on my daily I think I read somewhere (when I was looking to get mine) that you can purchase some sort of in-line suppressor ?? Yep but with variable results
  19. GT86 with forced induction is going to be around the same price as a 370z with forced induction, of course buying already done is much cheaper but dropping £8-£10k on a new purchase smacks of buying the wrong car in the first place to me and even then its hardly on par with a stock 370 , the stock 86 is slow you need a lot of money to correct that
  20. The Blackvue doesn't interfere with my satnav - so thats ok - don't know about DAB as the zeds radio is FM Some people have had issues with the blackvue and dab , not a problem in the zed as you say, but is on my daily
  21. The 370 handles better than the 350 imo , it turns in much better. Its also quicker but doesnt feel it , its much better equipped. The 370 feels more solid not sure about heavy Yes post 2012 cars have improved oil cooling but no oil cooler Arbs do help but they are far from essential
  22. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Power-BlackVue-Vehicle-Recording-System/dp/B00LN2BZL2 You need one of these wired in if you want to use it when parked . i dont bother on mine but dont tend to park anywhere dodgy
  23. There was a very recent thread on this I've had my Blackvue (400hd) for about 4 years now , its been trouble free, i remove and format the cards every now and then maybe every 6 months and havent had a card go south on my , its been fit and forget I have a G1W in my daily as the blackvue or any gps based camera can interfere with DAB radio , it cost me about £45 all in and records almost as well still 1080p but it has a screen and is much larger but i have had a card go on that one and it just stops recording after 5 mins, these cards dont last forever though you should consider changing them every 12 months really To be honest the thing that really swings it for me is the Blackvue software its really easy to view and save your videos and most of all find the bit you want quickly Dont know what the 650 is like , havent used one . Personally I dont think a rear facing one is as important.
  24. Make sure the surface is flat also , really easy to bend the sump removing it and if its not flat it wont seal
  25. Yes p2 same as p3, includes air filter and brake fluid change over the p1 which is just oil and filter and inspection (We do an alignment check also)
