  1. You also lose 50bhp though for having the car in Racing (to the toilet) Brown. Belated welcome aboard Jack.
  2. So the reality is I 'have' money but I want it for the next house - therefore I want to spent as little as possible between now and the next role. It is rubbish, but I guess it is life. I will buy a small hatch of some description to tide me over - when in a new job I could always get a nice car again (assuming I'm not doing an epic by-road commute)... Sound's sensible. Hopefully it's all for the best eventually and I'm sure you can get another Zed in the future if that's what you want when the time's right.
  3. Ahh nightmare Rob. Remember chatting to you when you first mentioned the redundancy but never thought it would come to this.
  4. As KyleR mentioned you may be struggling to find a decent double din with Sat Nav included for that budget. You could though if you looked at second hand units on eBay or similar but obviously you won't get any warranty with them. Like the one below; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JVC-DOUBLE-DIN-CAR-STEREO-RADIO-HEAD-UNIT-SAT-NAV-BUILT-IN-MP3-fits-vw-golf-/181305458335?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_GPSSystems_GPSSystems&hash=item2a36a5be9f
  5. ^^ Got what he deserved really ~ start shouting abuse at some people how do you expect them to react.
  6. GM you always comment on the ladies, I think you need some bromide! ^^ Can't beat a good looking woman or car for the matter and nothing wrong with complimenting other's good taste in either or both. I am happily engaged to my Mrs btw, ....& my Zed of course.
  7. Totally agree with you Ebized ~ one thing you touched on I experienced the other week actually. Was driving home from work and over took a cyclist on the way ~ he had an extremely bright white light on the front of his bicycle which was set on flashing mode! Now can't fault him for being visible but I see absolutely no reason why he should have his light flashing like he's an emergency vehicle or something. Was very distracting as I drove past him looking in my mirror and I couldn't help but wonder also if someone was an epileptic whether or not this might effect them.
  8. She look's gorgeous ~ the wife that is, not the Zed. I jest, both look gorgeous. ;) As for the seat belt problem you could always buy one of those "CG" locks. I've heard that they are really good. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/300962998624?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&lpid=95&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=95&ff19=0
  9. Just watched the entire video which was great. Lovely seeing the underneath of the Zed looking brand new and with all it's components as new. Learnt a few things too as I never realized the front bonnet was aluminium and I always thought the carbon fibre prop shaft was there to save weight but in fact it's there as a safety feature in the event of a crash.

Lovely Zed and those alloy's really suit the car ~ nice deep dish.
  11. I honestly think it's because she had a camera that she decided to act the way she did - prompting the argument. If she didnt have the camera, i'm almost certain she wouldnt have pulled out to block me. Idiot. There are definitely a percentage of cyclists for whom this rings very true ~ they just can't wait to goad drivers in order to get a video to increase their perceived Youtube fame.
  12. ^^ Unbelievable how stupid some of these cyclists can act. Bet that wound you up a bit. I'm off to check Youtube now.
  13. Look's good so far ~ will save the rest of that video for later when the Mrs is watching some cr*p I'm not interested in.
  14. That Micra look's pretty cool if I'm honest. Had one for my first car but it was the 1988 Mark 1 Micra 998cc so the only thing I did in 12.18seconds in that thing was the 0-40mph dash.
  15. But in a way it is rare, ...I mean how many Zeds have you ever heard of that gained 50bhp just from an air induction kit & remap.
  16. Yes if you fit a new head unit you can still retain your steering wheel controls. You just need to buy the correct wiring kit to make it all work. Have a read of the below links ~ although some of the links within the threads are old/broken it does tell you I believe everything that you will need. http://www.350z-uk.com/index.php?showtopic=15611 http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/55445-wiring-in-a-new-hu-this-guide-may-help/ Hope that helps.
  17. Just to add my two pence worth. Rear "stop & tail" bulbs on the 2003 UK Nissan 350Z are T20 dual filament (also known as 7443 dual filament) and NOT 380 bulbs!
  18. Can't wait for the pics and more updates bizz. My car's also due to go on the rollers at the end of Feb so I know how you feel although I don't think I'll be seeing as higher figures as your's somehow.
  19. Don't know of anybody on here with a GT-R replica front end. Pete Don't you mean you don't know anyone on here that would admit it Pete.
  20. Welcome aboard. ...and yes Zed's are thirsty on fuel but most members just buy shares in Petroleum companies so it's all good.
  21. Would this do; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Nissan-350z-Boot-Mat-/400244956938?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d30755f0a
  22. No idea where you'd get them done in Aberdeen but down here in Cardiff you're looking at around the £300-£360 mark for all four wheels fully refurbished.
  23. I was literally just thinking that. PMSL.
