  1. +1 ....and can anyone have a go or do you need a special licence + roll cage/fire extinguishers etc?? Your car was definitely the nicest looking road car there then from the pictures btw.
  2. Below are just a few examples of fairly decent motor's for sale currently around the £2000-£2500 mark that would be fun yet still fairly sensible for a run about imo. 2002 Ford Focus ST170 £2000: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201403282887958/sort/default/usedcars/page/1/engine-size-cars/2l_to_2-5l/postcode/cf158rl/onesearchad/used/price-to/2500/transmission/manual/fuel-type/petrol/seller-type/trade_adverts/price-from/2000/radius/200?logcode=p 2002 Renault Clio TSport 182 (with 2 years warranty included) £2150: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201401201160102/sort/default/usedcars/transmission/manual/engine-size-cars/2l_to_2-5l/fuel-type/petrol/body-type/hatchback/price-to/2500/seller-type/trade_adverts/page/1/postcode/cf158rl/price-from/2000/make/renault/onesearchad/used/radius/200?logcode=p 2003 VW Golf 2.3 V5 (one lady owner ~ FSH) £2495: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201403032195355/sort/default/usedcars/transmission/manual/engine-size-cars/2l_to_2-5l/page/2/price-to/2500/radius/200/seller-type/trade_adverts/price-from/2000/body-type/hatchback/onesearchad/used/model/golf/postcode/cf158rl/fuel-type/petrol/make/volkswagen?logcode=p This way you save some of the cash you got for your Zed in case any servicing/repairs does need doing, plus some of the cash can be used for insurance.
  3. Yeah, did ask him whether he could do them in the colour i wanted, but apparently he only does white ones! Got these ones from autobulbsdirect so don't think they're cheap like the ebay ones! Maybe when night comes I'll test them out again and they'll really shine then! I guess the colour red is never going to glow as much as something white or blue anyway! Ah no probs. Hopefully you'll be pleased with the night time results. Really need a dark place with no street lighting to get a really good idea of how bright they are I'd imagine.
  4. That's good then StevoD and I'm sure your Mum will be very happy with the MotoG. It really is a great phone imo especially for the price/tariffs. Now just enjoy trying to learn how to use the new phone.
  5. Why on earth are you looking to spend that much? If you're trying to save up and move out then why waste all that cash on a "sensible run around". You're obviously barking or just loaded. Have a look at what 14N got as a sensible run about for less than £2K. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/81561-my-clio-182-daily-driver-new-bits-on-their-way/ That's the sort of thing you should be looking at imo if you are only after a run about that you can still enjoy driving. For the cash you're on about spending I'd have just fixed the Zed as there is no way it would have cost that much to fix.
  6. ^^ Only thing I found Flex is that the Motorola's standard case was a bit slippery. By that I mean that I dropped it about 5 times in the first five minutes of taking it out of the box. Got a nice silicone rubber case for it off eBay very cheaply and now it's so much better. Link below in case you're interested in getting one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GRIP-S-LINE-WAVE-GEL-CASE-FOR-MOTOROLA-MOTO-G-FREE-SCREEN-PROTECTOR-/310801924271?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhonesCasesPouches&var=&hash=item485d3d00af
  7. Should have looked like this when fitted. I think if I remember rightly when standing in front of the car the left should go on the right & vice a versa.
  8. What bonnet lifters where they btw? Tbh these things are pretty basic to fit so unless you had a faulty set somehow I can't see what could go wrong bar fitting them the wrong way round but even then they would still work. After you fit them they do take some time just to bed in so to speak. Mine work a lot better now then when I first fitted them as I used to gently help them lift the last few inches.
  9. That's great news. Glad it's sorted. Regarding the poor brightness ~ I had this as well from some 4LED festoon bulbs that I bought from eBay. In the end I tried a "member trader" on here called cs2000 who does LED kits for the Zeds. His bulbs where much brighter and that's what I'm using now. Try sending him a PM telling him what your after to see if he can help. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/76521-350z-370z-led-bulb-kits/
  10. First thing is to try flipping the LED bulb around the other way as they are polarity sensitive so will only work one way. Next thing to do is check the LED bulb works in the side you know works for certain (just to double check it's not the LED). If it still doesn't work then it may just be the little plastic white switch inside the dome light that is faulty. Read this thread: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/76275-changing-interior-lights-to-led-blown-fuse-what-fuse/page__hl__%20interior%20%20light%20%20switch I doubt you've blown any fuses as the other light works and if it isn't the LED bulb blown or in the wrong way around then I'd guess it would be the switch itself. Hope that helps.
  11. ^^ Stop picking on Will you lot. Thought Dblock was back for a second!.
  12. Good to see another member working on their Zed themselves and more importantly enjoying their Zed. Can't go wrong with Horsham Developments parts & services either imo ~ had my Zed in with Jez & the guys before.
  13. ^^ What he said. When my 350 was misfiring it through up the EML straight away. Traced it back to a faulty coil pack ~ replaced the coil pack, reset the ECU and happy days again.
  14. I'm not going to lye, it does hurt "a little" when you do it stuarty. Think I have a fairly high pain thresh hold for some things though.
  15. Great news and I was very pleased after taking my Zed to them as well. You should add this to the Horsham Developments appreciation thread. Found here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/47272-horsham-appreciation-thread/
  16. Jesus!! Is that road legal? As long as he can still see through the back window and the Zed doesn't take off whilst driving down the road then I believe so. That is massive AliveBoy & pretty flippin' unique!
  17. I see why you cancelled the 370 test drive now stuarty. Never had any injury like this ~ closest I've come is after I crashed & rolled one of my cars down a local hill at speed when I was younger. In the crash I dislocated my shoulder badly but because of the shock & possibly being KO'd for few seconds I didn't realize. Thought I'd got lucky and only suffered cut's & bruise's in the crash but a few months later I painfully dislocated my shoulder whilst closing a door of all things. Managed to pop my shoulder back in place myself at home (not at all like Mel Gibson did in Lethal Weapon I may add) by ignoring the pain, trying to relax & gently letting the muscle pull itself back into place with me gently pushing. Still being 20 years old at the time and super tuff, I carried on. Didn't even visit the doctors. It was only after I dislocated my shoulder a further two times over the following 12 months that I finally went to the doctors. Ended up having an MRI scan (they injected some dye in my shoulder), Xrays and they decided it had been left too long to operate. I had broken some bone clean off from my shoulder and my body had weirdly compensated for my injury, developing some of the largest muscles the doctors had seen in some strange places. I had to go through physio at the hospital for over a year with continued physio at home (basically lifting weights in special ways to re-develop shoulder muscles where they should be) for several years. Suffered spasms & pain in my shoulder for years afterwards but nowadays it's pretty good tbh. Good luck with the knee injury stuarty.
