  1. Just hope he get's the right size for the speaker components. Would be a pain if it didn't fit.
  2. Hope it gets well soon.
  3. Personally I'd go for Focals as I've had them before and know how good they are. The Hertz should be fine too though. Definitely need to up your amp budget though imo. My old 4 channel Infinity amp that ran my Focal component set up was in the region of £500 odd ~ not saying you need to go that far but a £130 amp isn't going to be that good and I'd be tempted to go with something more like what un1eash suggested or up your budget to £200 as Dave said.
  4. Can't hurt and at least you're covered then if you need the proof in the future.
  5. My old JDM Impreza was pretty rapid although nothing really that impressive compared to most of the above mentioned vehicles. Hoping my Zed will be a pretty impressive car one day though. Not a road car but I've driven a Formula Ford around Castle Combe which is probably the most fun I've had on four wheels. It was my first taste of RWD.
  6. Like the "pit lane" girls. But yeah no chance I'd let them near the Zed.
  7. Welcome aboard. Check out the regional section for members in your area.
  8. It is a repost I believe. Pretty sure Ian or octet posted this up originally.
  9. I bought these ones for my old man which he has had on his BMW for ages now; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Richbrook-Car-Van-Anti-Theft-Locking-Spinning-Valve-Tyre-Dust-Caps-Silver-NEW-/320889399663?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ab67fa96f Look good too. The "Z" ones like these; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fit-For-Nissan-Fairlady-Wheel-Tyre-Tire-Valve-Stem-Air-Cap-Anti-Theft-Locking-/151318529877?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item233b498755 ...just have grub screws and imo don't look as good either. Good luck.
  10. ^^ All of the above. This thread is using up all my likes.
  11. Great that you've finally got it running. Look's very cool imo and Jez should see you right. Regarding the exhaust clamps ~ this type might work better; http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/exhaust-accessories/mikalor-stainless-hose-clamp Although worth shopping around as Demon Tweeks can be expensive.
  12. Ok, what's next?, ....is everyone going FI getting a fuel pressure regulator? The fuel pressure regulator is included in the likes of the AAM and CJM kits. Plus you get a little pressure gauge. Awesome. Ignore me then as I did not know that.
  13. Ok, what's next?, ....is everyone going FI getting a fuel pressure regulator?
  14. Yeah the Rutland ones baffled as well so think that's what I'll get. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. Oooh expensive. Too much for me on my budget I'm afraid. Maybe just found the answer though to why some people go for a baffled one; The thing with the size for me is that I'm trying to leave room for a fuel pressure regulator & any piping so was trying to limit the size of the OCC especially as I've seen images of the cans collecting only a few hundred mls after hundreds & thousands of miles. Doubtful tbh that I'll need a 1litre can.
  16. From what I can gather reading the Vortech reliability thread ( http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82588-vortech-supecharging-technical-and-reliability-thread/ ) GT4 Zed and Sam Mcgoo are both using the Rutland oil catch can/tanks. From what I can tell it isn't baffled at all and the only problem mentioned is that GT4 Zed has had a slight leak on the bottom of his from where you drain the oil.
  17. Just talking about this actually JC. It's on this build thread; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/86080-350z-roadster-sc-build/page__st__40#entry1296075 A few of us are looking at options for this now. Best place I can see to fit an oil catch tank is near the power steering fluid tank possibly utilizing the original bracket/mount. The two options I've come up with so far are this one from Rutland; http://oilcatchtank.com/ ..And this one from Car Builder Solutions; http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/mini-oil-catch-tank Both are very small and should fit nicely but waiting to hear back from Car Builder Solutions on whether theirs is baffled. Not sure if it needs to be but that's why we're discussing it in that build thread I linked.
  18. Just messaged "Car Builder Solutions" to see if that OCC is baffled. Why does it need to be baffled in your opinion jumping350? Not being funny, ...just trying to learn.
  19. Either of you purchased an oil catch can/tank yet?? Been looking all over the place to find a reasonable size one for the Zed. Not much room in the engine bay and add a few more bits like pressure regulators etc and there is next to no spare room. So far I have come up with the Rutland mini OCC; http://oilcatchtank.com/ This is what a few supercharged Zeds have on here but I have heard the bottom seal (where you drain the oil out) has leaked for a few possibly because of boost pressure. The other option I have found is this; http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/mini-oil-catch-tank Little bit more expensive & bigger but should still fit where I planned near the power steering fluid bottle. What are your thoughts?
