  1. I have Berks HFC's on my Zed which are fantastic. I did have an UpRev done on my car not long after having them fitted (about two months later) which obviously improved performance but even without that the sound difference over OEM Cats was so much nicer. Just for your enjoyment here is what a Nismo exhaust system sounds like with De-Cats; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/90016-nismo-exhaust-with-de-cats/ Also fyi ~ I may well be selling my Berks HFC's which have only been on the car for 10 months (4.5K miles odd) so if you're interested I'll let you know when/if I decide to sell them as will be a lot cheaper then the £415 odd new. Genuine reason for sale as I may be going down the De-Cat route due to FI.
  2. Good news ~ I hate rubberneckers. Worse still when they're taking pictures of other peoples misfortunes just to post on Douche book or similar.
  3. I'd guess he means HFC's (High Flow Cats) going off the price paid & the way they look tbh.
  4. damn you're quick i clicked on post and you were there He's a thread hawk.......or do I mean vulture! Either will do. What about Ninja though instead?
  5. ^^ Sounds like a good plan. Least amount of work by yourself and all the profit, ....and you said you weren't going to be like Mike Brewer.
  6. Always keep an eye on the decent threads.
  7. I'm very interested to see how this turns out ~ lovely colour ~ good luck.
  8. LOL! Heading that direction but not there quite yet Anyway just had a nice dinner and will shortly be hitting the port, Good stuff, have a great evening.
  9. You can't and that's the risk you take unfortunately.
  10. Have you seen the Tamiya 1:24th scale Nissan 350 Zeds? Very good quality, cheaply priced and with a good level of detail to the kit. Check out my thread here with mine in it; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/77718-anyone-in-to-scale-models/
  11. Cheap option for you here Phil. Link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EXHAUST-PIPE-TAILPIPE-WHISTLER-SPORTY-TURBO-DUMP-VALVE-SOUND-WHISTLE-M-UK-STOCK-/131103369294?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e865ea84e
  12. This might help you Mike; http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/dash_removal/
  13. Yep black box in the middle held on by four 10mm bolts. Absolutely useless imo. Removed mine a few weeks ago finally after meaning to do it for a year. Not really going to give me any noticeable extra power or better fuel consumption but why lug it around? As Phil mentions above is one noticeable benefit and it also stops people slamming the boot closed quite so hard.
  14. Exactly where I got mine ~ excellent service ~ not cheap but worth it imo. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/56317-nissan-z-logo-aluminium-kick-plates/
  15. As Keyser said what a great start Elliot. Whilst you've got the rear boot trim off you can also remove that boot weight ~ 1.1kg weight saving there.
  16. Happy Birthday Gball, Ricky and benjy88. Did you get a letter from the queen then Ricky?
  17. Welcome Stu ~ most has been covered above and also in the buyers guide that you've been reading. If you can try to ascertain what fuel has been used that's useful info as the Zed should have only been run on Super Unleaded and lower Ron unleaded fuel can cause damage to the engine especially if used for long periods. Check to see if the boot opens with one press of the button, if it takes two presses to clear the latch it's not a big deal but just another bargaining chip for a cheaper price. To fix that it will likely need either new boot assist popper springs or the "penny trick" doing to it to fix it. If the boot doesn't hold it's own weight up & wants to drop then that'll be the gas struts going or gone ~ again easy fix (new struts) & another bargaining chip. Service schedule for the 350Z here which is useful for checking what should have been done depending on the year/mileage of the car; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/31110-service-schedule-for-a-350z/ Enjoy the test drive.
  18. I watch exactly the same thing at Le Mans every year with about 300 other people, we are sorry we have all disappointed you so much. Apology accepted. Is it exactly the same thing though? E.g. an open public road with normal motorists on? Imo ~ Anyone doing that on an open public road is a moron and yes the people watching are no better; Just encouraging the idiot drivers to act even more recklessly. The crashes that happened could have easily hurt people or caused damage to innocent motorists who where just using the roads normally to get to & from work/home/shopping/picking up kids etc.
