  1. I'd just take a drive one day locally with a clean Zed and a camera with tripod if you have one. What about Whitby? That close to you as there are some great spots around there for some pictures. If you are taking pictures at night and have a camera capable of long exposure that will help you take some fantastic night pictures. If you do that you need to be near somewhere that's busy with lights & traffic. Example below of a long exposure night shot.... With the long exposure you can get some fantastic pictures as you can see the light trails.
  2. Have you looked at any of the Brian Crower worked Zeds? If you want to stay n/a then you can get stroker kits, cams and things from him. Another popular in the US upgrade. Link: http://www.briancrower.com/makes/nissan/vq35de_stroker.shtml Tarmac Sportz is your place for that if that's what you want. I've been looking at it for a while now. 3. Hhhmm, ...does that come with R2D2? Google says "no". They look like awesome machines.
  4. ^^ All looks good and I know from experience that carbon fibre dipped interior will make the Zed look so much better inside.
  5. Found two threads that should be of interest to you Bennett. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/72534-boot-strip/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/48146-stripped-the-rear-boot-area-out-pics/page__st__20 Look's like a very, very messy job.
  6. Can't believe all these bargain Zeds ~ great price for the year/mileage/condition imo. GLWTS.
  7. ^^ Shows off the beautiful lines of the 350 perfectly.
  8. I know djtimo has removed most of his interior so might be worth a PM to see what he used on that putty cr*p. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/84366-my-little-weekend-project/page__st__60 Positive I've seen somebody else doing it before and they just scraped the majority off and then used "Autoglym intensive tar remover". I have heard it's a PITA but you'd be surprised at how much weight can be saved by removing it.
  9. Very cool. Any ideas on what car you're hoping to change to?
  10. ^^ Sandwich bags work well for bolts/nuts and things ~ cheaper than boxes too.
  11. Spindle, butterfly, screws, needles, jets, polish & port and make sure all lines up without interference of air flow to the manifolds. Check for worn spindles as this will make it very difficult to set up the idle. Also make sure all the throttle linkages are free moving (pretty obvious that one). You can also check the butterfly by holding the carb up to the light to see how much light shows around the butterfly ~ we used to knife edge the butterflies (leave the sealing edge's alone), grind off the screw ends (loctite the screws in), countersunk screw heads and reduced the profile of the spindle. Honestly though it is just for minimal gains but can help and can be interesting to do. Tried to find pictures of the type of thing I mean; Standard butterfly/spindle/screws on a mini SU carb I believe it is. As above but with a modified spindle. Above could have made it better by removing the screw ends & countersinking the screw heads further though as below. Tried to find info specific to the 240Z SU's ~ Link: http://www.zcarz.us/technicalinformationpagecarburation.htm http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/2-write-ups-on-tuning-su-carbs.html
  12. Great read Darren and love all the pictures. Are you going to mod the engine at all? Like put Weber's on or anything along those lines? If not, are you going to mod the SU carbs? Done a bit of that on MGB's when I worked at a restoration garage here in Cardiff.
  13. ^^ Sounds good. Enjoy the big breakfast.
  14. I edited my post so might have overlooked this I had missed that ~ good to know you're pleased with your set up. Do hear some people moaning about noise levels with K1/2 but everyone's different in what noise they like. A video would be cool if you ever can.
  15. quite right GM, Im guessing Adrian has de-catted.. See if he tells us. I have the Berks HFC's currently ~ love them, ...but got some Berks De-Cats to go on soon.
  16. ^^ Nice. Look like Berks HFC's to me, ....just the ticket.
  17. Awesome ~ much better machine than the Frogster so a great replacement.
  18. I still like these even if I didn't get any response to the last ones so posting another.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gcw0p8zxQbY
