  1. Hi Jamie, Llanelli? never heard of it. Only joking of course. I'm Cardiff based and there quite a few South Wales Zed owners on here now. Welcome aboard.
  2. The DE can as well. If I remember rightly it states it in the manual somewhere and says something along the lines of: You can run on a lower octane fuel if Super Unleaded is not available but you should restrict your revs to less than 3.5K and not put the car under heavy load on hills etc. My manual is in the car so correct me if I'm wrong but pretty positive it something like that.
  3. Darn it 1 minute to slow, ...must be slipping. Well done veeg. Beat me to it.
  4. Could do yes Chris if ran on it all the time over years. Have a read of this thread: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/56308-what-can-happen-if-you-run-your-zed-on-95-ron/
  5. Ahh, so it wouldn't clear the EML then Tricky if that's what he's trying to do. Good to know ~ glad I can dance now.
  6. I'm just going to leave this here.... If you think it look's good then go for it. It's your car after all so do it your way.
  7. If you disconnect the battery for a good length of time I believe it should reset the ECU. When I first tried the pedal dance I couldn't do it either, ...even with a clock that had the seconds hands for added help with timing. In the end though I got it down to an art form and just counted in my head. I think where some people go wrong or maybe it was just me is step 2 whereby you try to do step 2a & 2b five times within 5 seconds. It doesn't have to be 5 seconds elapsed time just done within 5 seconds. Hope that makes sense. Anyway good luck with it whichever way you go.
  8. He was asking £250 plus postage so at £240 delivered he has lowered the price more than a tenner. I'd guess these will cost £20-£25 to post via 48 hour delivery via Parcel Force possibly more when you add on insurance to take it up to the correct value of the items as standard it's only up to £150 I think it is. Personally I think the price is pretty fair. When I was looking for some De-Cats in October I saw a pair of these selling on eBay which where around £290+P&P I think they where. GLWTS Luke.
  9. Happy Birthday Sarnie. ...and Kornercarver, ...not that we've spoken before. Have a great day both.
  10. Lovely looking little pup Humpy, ...bet you can't wait.
  11. That's not true. Pipe down Supercharged Boy. You will be supercharged Papa, you will conform. That's a great idea. Graham's Zed has the look's just need's the go, go, go now. Sure Tarmac Chris could do you a good deal Graham.
  12. ^^ Nice little mod but not sure the plate works although it does look good. The plate made me think of "Toyo R888" tyres so maybe you should get some of those next.
  13. Fantastic work Alex. Have you managed to trace the fault to find out why the plugs aren't sparking? Hopefully it is just something simple like a plug not connected.
  14. Depending on what's been done in the car's history I'd be inclined to hold off on the mods until you get a good service under the Zeds belt. By good service I mean something along these lines which is what I had done not long after purchasing mine. Gearbox oil change ~ also adding Molyslip can improve gear changes I found. Coolant change ~ genuine Nissan coolant ~ should be changed every 36K miles or every 3 years whichever comes soonest. Brake fluid change ~ I used Motul RBF600 ~ should be changed every 27K miles or every 2 years whichever comes soonest. Spark plugs ~ should be changed every 54K miles or every 5 years whichever comes soonest. Diff oil change. Power steering fluid. Air filter ~ after market panel filter/lot's of choices ~ yearly change is best or more often if driving in the desert. Also worth making sure all your braking system is up to scratch like the pads, discs & brake lines. If you can get under the car like on garage ramps then other good things to check over are your banana arm bushes, drop links and anti-roll bar bushes as all can perish/deteriorate over time. Once your happy the car's all good then I'd start thinking about what mods you'd like to do. Personally I started more or less with my exhaust system as it made a big difference to the way the car sounded which for me was a big plus.
  15. Just fyi ~ There are some Motordyne Art test pipes for sale on here which are supposed to be the dogs bo**ocks; http://www.350z-uk.c...pipes-for-sale/ I used to have Berks HFC's which are a fantastic choice for high flow Cats imo. No rasp or drone. Cobra's from CS above though are a good choice as well. Power increase is hard to say zippy as every car/test condition/dyno etc is different. If your old Cats are particularly dirty inside though combined with the other exhaust parts you could be looking at 8-10bhp at a guess. Purely speculative though.
  16. ^^ Ok cool. I'd guess they'll contact you soon & I'd imagine they will give you a few colour options to chose one from. Let us know how you get on when you can.
  17. Very nice, ...same thing happened to me some years ago when I entered a competition in "Performance Ford" magazine. I won a full set of Samco coolant hoses for my car at the time which was a Ford Mondeo ST24. Have they offered you a choice of colours? or is it just a set colour for the hoses? Congrats.
  18. Should fit your DE no problem ~ same gear knob as I have in my DE and it looks fantastic.
  19. I'm still running all OEM suspension apart from some SuperPro bushes in the front banana arms.
