  1. You need to speak to someone there really and see if they can do a pick up & exchange. Eg: They deliver you the replacement rad and you give them the "Tom Daley" special (as Josh would say ) to the courier for return. I'd bet it won't be that easy though. Good luck.
  2. Who with? I mean is that a Castle Combe organised one or some other company as I can't see that date listed on Castle Combes web site. Thanks.
  3. He I'm there on 1st & 6th With itechracing.co.uk Will be a good day. Just been looking at their site if I've got the right one, ...this one: http://www.i-techracing.com/9/Track_Day_Hire/ Are you renting one of their cars then? or using your own? I'm looking at Castle Combe track days you see and didn't really fancy paying £170 for a full day when really I might only go on once or twice at most. Any info on prices & what you're doing would be cool.
  4. It's a pain Craig but you really need to get back onto the seller to get a replacement. If it's bent chances are it may even leak in the future so definitely send it back imo.
  5. ^^ This about sums it all up I think. My initial thought was that the car could have been stopped there (in that stupid place) as a biker could have crashed & he was parked there protecting the fallen rider. Couldn't see anyone though so the BMW driver could just have easily have been one of those idiots answering his phone in a stupid place or just admiring the view. As others have said you really shouldn't drive around blind bends or crests for that matter at any speed which you are unable to stop quickly enough at. But we all know that.
  6. Just seen this on a news feed. There's a car stopped in the road and you're hooning along in your Arial Atom with your mate on his bike in front. Now let's test those reactions. Link:
  7. Welcome aboard. Don't worry about your age, ...as long as you like Zeds you'll fit in fine.
  8. You need to find some tunnels to drive through, ...trust me.
  9. If you do more videos then imo roads like that mountain one are great for interesting to watch videos, ...much better than just a motorway (highway) and you can't really get up to speed in urban/city environments. The picture in picture was pretty good I thought. Might be an idea to switch occasionally though to just the rear or forward facing camera especially if there isn't much going on. I asked for the GoPro as I've had some experience of them from friends who own them and tbh really thought it was best suited to what I want (HD/time lapse/WiFi/Apps etc). I should really have researched other cameras as well but I just got lazy & thought I'd go for the GoPro. It's the first decent video camera I've ever owned so when the weather improves I'll definitely be doing some videos although I've never put one on Youtube before so I'll have to look into that ~ sure it'll be easy enough though. Oh and yes the supercharger is sooooooo much fun in case you wondered.
  10. I know... It's quite sad and annoying... But for some reason I'm not that annoyed as I thought I would be haha may be because it looks ok ish from the distance and I kkow that it will be sorted properly soon lol Maybe it's just that after all the supercharger hassle you had that this seems fairly minor by comparison.
  11. Hi Chromatic, good to see you making a visit on here again and nice video of the exhaust combo, which will hopefully be useful to some. That mountain road at the end looks like something straight out of "Need For Speed" the video game. I received a GoPro Hero3 for Christmas from my Mrs so when the weathers better here I'm hoping to take the car out on track and get a video or maybe just a few road videos. Either way it'll be nice to have a decent camera to film with for a change.
  12. Hard lesson to take though Vlad especially when it happens to your pride & joy as you know.
  13. From what I've heard there have been "some" instances of the pennies wearing through the rubber slightly (possibly people adding too many) resulting with minor damage to the paintwork where it sits. Either way lot's of people have done the penny trick successfully by using pennies, nylon washers, rubber washers etc so it's up to the individual to decide what they want to put into the boot popper to get the same result, ...a one button press boot opening. Edit: spelling.
  14. I know what it's like as well when you trust people to work on your car and the results are far from satisfactory despite a good outlay of cash or in your case time & cash. I had some body work/spray painting done on my Zed last year locally which although they did "good" work in some places like my front bumper, side skirts & roof their work on my rear quarter was really poor. Going to be a job for another body shop now but I have no idea who to trust locally so I'm not rushing to throw my money at it just yet.
  15. Bl**dy hell Vlad. Well done for not laying one on him as he sounds like he would have more than deserved it. Sorry to see such terrible work done to your Zed as well, ...really hope you get it sorted soon mate.
  16. Yep that's a good call. I actually used Nylon washers when fixing mine as I was saving for my supercharger build at the time so was too tight to use pennies.
  17. This ^^. Penny trick guide here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/35706-the-penny-trick/ Also I found with mine that it really helped by removing the useless boot weight too. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/65248-how-to-weight-reduction-fix-boot-pop-up/ Good luck.
  18. Hopefully that'll help some people out as these things always go. Hate flexi joints.
  19. Haha I love rumours í ½í¸‚ Some say he was suspended from TG for drawing a Pentagram on the floor of the producers lounge, whilst burning 4 white candles and using Richard Hammond's virgin blood to summon celestial beings from the original "Grimoire of Armadel" book. All we know is that he's currently still earning lot's of money whilst sitting on his couch at home and he's called Jeremy Clarkson.
  20. You won't be saying that once you've spent all your money. Welcome. Haha tell me about it! I'm already looking going through the parts for sale section and getting ideas! This was a baaaad ideaaa Just make sure you don't read his build thread then or mine for that matter. You'll save more money that way. Welcome aboard.
  21. Well done Stevo. Never easy doing these type of things/events for the first time. I remember my first time out on track at Castle Combe back in the late 90's. I was waiting to go out from the pit lane, already nervous as it was a damp day, when a new (at the time) Impreza lost it on practically the straight. I thought if he can't keep it on track what bl**dy hope have I got in my fwd 92 Rover 214si. I did ok though although learnt quickly that I needed a more powerful car. Good luck with the rest of it and great write up.
  22. Pretty gutting really, ...not the bit about Clarkson, ...just been waiting a while to see what they actually where doing at Japfest last year.
