I literally get loads of these emails each month from scammers ~ fake PayPal ones are probably the most prevalent I get tbh. Forward it on to: spoof@paypal.com Most big companies now have dedicated email addresses that you send any suspected or definite "phishing emails" to so that they can investigate it to help stop fraud. Few more for you for you to send phishing/scam emails to. Natwest: phishing@natwest.com Tesco: phishing@uk.tesco.com Lloyds (TSB): emailscams@lloydsbanking.com

Tiptronic GM 350z DE Build thread (pre map dyno figures)
GMballistic replied to russyb's topic in Member Build Projects
Zed looks great, ...looking forward to seeing what else you get up to with it. -
Are you a gangster? That's just standard equipment for Zed roadsters. Believe the Coupes had Glock 9mm's next to the spare tyre although most get lost or dumped in rivers after use.

Just paint it Ian, ...not orange though!

I've had a good long look around this car and it is exactly as described. Tbh I almost bought it myself but just couldn't do it at the time. Definitely a great buy for someone of a future, if not current classic car. GLWTS Ian.

Not 100% but it was the limited and its 2 door, so is that the type R instead of type RA? He works on the boats, so asked me to source the car for him, 1 owner, 40k miles, absolutely love condition, mild mods. Its now fully caged, wide-bodied and a rally car (has competed in Poland). Nice.... I only have printed photos of my 2000 WRX I had in South Africa.... 1 of about 20 in the country. Then had a white sti wagon here and finally the "bug". Yeah that'll be it then Graham, should be a "version 5 Impreza WRX STi type R V-Limited" if I'm right. My mates is the same almost but it's the "type RA" which has 5 doors. Did have a love-hate relationship with my old Impreza unfortunately Graham. Loved it when it was running, ...hated it when it wasn't. Tbh I did have a lot of bad luck with things going wrong on that car but I bought it with no history as it was a Japanese import & even though I checked it over as best I could some things I or anyone for that matter could not have foreseen. Like the oil pump failing & killing the engine within my first month of ownership or the gearbox destroying itself internally at the drop of a hat!

That's a direct quote from her right?!

OEM standard wheel is 370mm apparently. Some info here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/35395-aftermarket-steering-wheels/

What an absolute load of politically motivated spin Doctor bo**ocks.

That is pretty cool "sort of". Definitely some memories there though. Thanks for sharing.

Graham the Sti you bought for a friend, ...is that a JDM WRX Sti V-Limited Type RA? The reason I ask is that is the model Subaru my mate has which is running big numbers. Oh & since we're all pic whoring our old Subarus, ...here's my96 JDM WRX classic Impreza. Hope you don't mind Darryl.

Just press the OFF button, stop crying like a baby! Was just about to say there is even an "on/off" button for the music on the home page. Plus you could always just mute your laptop speakers Dan.

Yeah failing the MOT can be a pain so I'd say if you change the Cats then stick to HFC's as that will be your best chance of still passing the MOT emissions test at least. A lot of people recommend driving the car before the test to get the Cats nice & hot. Also best keep your OEM Cats just in case you need them or decide to go back to standard. I've no experience of the Buddy Club exhaust system so can't comment sorry. Have a look what some of the professional traders on here can offer you is my advice as usually you won't find better prices for Zed parts than from them. All can be found here: http://www.350z-uk.c...sional-traders/ Although most have their own websites online. For example ~ Tarmac Sportz website: http://www.tarmacspo...b1-1dede1281030 And the Torqen website: http://www.torqen.uk...exhaust-systems

New exhaust manifolds (headers) are a PITA to fit fyi and unless you're doing it yourself can cost a fair bit to do. In fact a lot of people that I've heard of having manifolds fitted have done it at a time when their engine was out of the car as it's so much easier then. Fairly minimal gains to be made from having them done too although definitely better than OEM manifolds. This below is a picture of the OEM exhaust system.... The standard system runs in this order from the engine: Exhaust manifolds > Cats > Y-pipe > Mid section > Back box. If you bought the Invidia Gemini system for example it is a Cat to back true dual system so would join on to your existing OEM Cats and then run the whole way to the back. Thus eliminating your cracked OEM Y-pipe. I'd definitely consider replacing your Cats whilst you're doing the exhaust system but you have two options really with that: HFC's AKA High Flow Cats AKA Sports Cats ~ These will give improved performance over the OEM Cats (when mapped to suit) & an improvement in sound. De-Cats AKA Test pipes ~ These will give an even better performance improvement than the HFC's (when mapped to suit) & an even louder improvement in sound. These are also cheaper than the HFC's to buy. The downside with both those options though is that unlike the standard Cats you will fail the MOT emissions test for definite with De-Cats and it's touch & go that you will pass with the HFC's. My old Zed passed the MOT emissions test no problem with the Berks HFC's I had fitted but I know other members with an identical exhaust setup have failed in the past. You can get around this one of two ways ~ either you are friendly with the MOT guy ;) or you put the OEM Cats back on for your MOT each year which some people do but I'd personally find that a PITA.

With my luck, I'd end up being the guy lumbered with the trike. Still better than this...

Good job and loving the Cat, ...is that a Bengal type Cat? Lovely fur pattern.

Any advice on how to clean front headlights?
GMballistic replied to Stan350Z's topic in Paint & Protection
^^ What these guys said. Used the Megs headlight restore kit on my Zed and it brought the headlights up like new. -
^^ That's pretty special Matt. With that line up of Police cars I think I'd definitely want to be a Traffic Officer in Dubai if I lived there.

Personally though one of the nicest exhaust set ups for the 350 Zed imo is the Motordyne TDX with Art pipes. It's what I would get if I could do it again. Had to do it in two separate posts otherwise I couldn't have posted this video as well.

What's your budget then Rhino? Video below of my old 2003 350 Zed with an Invidia Gemini true dual stainless steel exhaust system (around £900) and Berks De-Cats (around £160). Bear in mind it was also supercharged but gives you some idea of the exhaust sound still. Outside sound of my Zed recorded by a member on here at a Castle Combe track day I was on (from about 13 seconds on & you can really hear it nicely when I go full throttle up the straight).
