  1. I know how you feel mate. Just had mine repaired today by chips away and they did a fantastic job. The problem is that the bit of the arch below the line is double skinned so mine had to be drilled, pulled, filled and painted, but you would never know that looking at it now.
  2. Thanks. Yeah I'm happy with it. Definitely glad I didn't take the first quote. I have read varying stories about chips away, but at the end of the day it comes down to the individual doing the job, not the company. Guess we have a good guy in our area
  3. Do they have these so called Homebase shops OFFshore as well?
  4. Fair play to you Craig. I read your other thread about this, and I am truly gutted for you. I will be watching your progress with interest and I wish you all the best, and your zed a speedy recovery
  5. I took a gamble and opted to have our local Chips Away bodyshop do the work, and Ive just picked it up. I must say Im very impressed with the service and result. It cost £160 including the vat and the whole job was completed in 3 hours
  6. Agree with that one. It might have saved me £160 this morning.
  7. Why not go the whole 9 yards, and remove the drivers brain to let the car do the test? Oh, some drivers have already had their brains removed. Can't believe they would not teach road signs in favour of a sat nav. Granted, people have become reliant on sat navs these days, but you still need to know basic road safety first. They should teach map reading and Highway Code at school.
  8. Sounds like you're in for a fun year
  9. 2nd one looks better imo. It has the GT pack with Bose stereo and Rays engineering alloys. The mileage isn't really an issue as it has full dealer history. It's only had 1 owner and it's still got original aerial. Change that for a stubby and you're well away Yea that was the one I was leaning more towards, I'll hopefully get to test drive it next week and will go from there! Sounds good. Let us know how you get on. Do all the usual checks that have been mentioned. Fan, oil on dipstick, eml warning light, clicky axles etc etc Oh.....and of course the drivers door handle
  10. Well, we've had some colder mornings this week, and I've noticed that my HR has been cold starting at about 90-100 and then dropping to about 60 before I drive off. Once everything is warmed up on a drive im getting 45-50 at 2000 rpm in 6th, then about 15 at idle.

  12. Many happy returns
  13. Totally agree. A local Tesco Extra near me was closed for over an hour after fights had broken out. Honestly can't believe the way some people act at these sales. Personally I think we should stop all this "American Black Friday" cr*p before it get's too far out of hand & someone get's seriously hurt or worse killed. If they don't stop it then it needs to be properly organized with ticket allocations of products or similar as Dan mentioned. It wouldn't surprise me if the HSE get involved and it doesn't happen again. The shops can still have their sales, but keep them online only.
  14. Nah! What's the drivers door handle like? Oh, and welcome to the forum Jon. Lots of good advice on here. Take your time and do the research first
  15. Anyone know where I can get a load of empty xbox one boxes? I want to fill them with bricks and stand outside the shop selling them, and have people fighting over them On a serious note, I did buy 3 iPad minis from tesco online for £149 each
  16. Well I got a £50 off voucher at Blackcircles so I've just ordered my new tyres
  17. Nice. Wasn't too sure about the colour at first, but the more I look, the more I like
  18. Thanks Stevo. That looks good
  19. Just out of interest, pm me the supplier of your struts. It could be a bad batch issue, if we got from the same place. Perhaps best not divulge on here where they are from, as it's not the traders fault.
  20. I'll have a go at that when I can, but I can remember lifting the bonnet up and down freely before I fitted the dampers.
  21. Well, in 6 hours of driving in total today, I didn't see 1 other zed. I did enjoy my drive though, although a bit cautious as it was a cold morning. Temps dropped again for my journey home too, and with the roads starting to glisten, I only had 1 small rear end twitch
  22. I think I'm actually going to remove mine, as they are horribly stiff and they are putting too much stress on my bonnet. They have actually pushed the bonnet up higher when it's closed.
  23. Cheers for all the replies guys. Certainly gives me plenty to think about. I would like to do a track day in my own car one day, but I'm just not ready to do that yet. Rockingham is only 35 mins away from me so I might see what they have. I work within 5 mins of the track and hear something blasting around there every day of the week. I also like the idea of a single seater too Decisions, decisions
  24. Happy Birthday mate. Nearly missed that. Been out all day.
  25. What the guys are saying is that, yes you can put stickers on your car, but technically they won't be sponsors. You'll just be giving them free advertising space. Sponsors pay towards your running costs in return for advertising their companies on your car in front of crowds of people at racetracks etc.
