  1. I always use Go Compare and find it always comes up with better prices than anywhere else.
  2. I`m not keen on the Nismo, as I`ve said on previous threads, and so don`t aspire to one at all. If I were to have one I`d be wishing it had nice leather seats and steering wheel in it, none of the ugly body bits and suspension set up for our crappy bumpy roads as it would never see a track (as I suspect a lot wont). But then it`d be just what I`ve got now with just an extra weedy 16 bhp so not worth it at all. It would have to have a lot more bhp and be a lot better looking for me to wish I`d got one instead of my GT Edition !
  3. I used to go to school on my fs1e.
  4. I drive mine quite conservatively the majority of the time, just like to floor it now and again for that whooooshhhh. the trip computer thingy says it's averaging a fraction under 28 mpg with probably an equal split between motorway and town driving. It's a manual so expect an auto will be a little less.
  5. "Despite their frenchness those RCZs have a certain, Je ne sais quois about them" Yeah, I was never such a big fan of French cars but I really liked it and only swapped it for the Z because for the first time in my life I became able to afford what was one of my all time "almost affordable" favourite high performance cars. The Z was obviously quite a hike in sportiness/performance, not really though in respect of features/gadgets/user comforts. A drop in practicality and a huge drop down in terms of the affordability of the running costs compared to the RCZ. I would definitely be interested in the RCZ -R when it comes out in the new year with an extra 70bhp but similar running costs and the extra practicality if I wasn`t just going to keep the Z now forever !
  6. Wonder if he`ll try for an acquittal on the fact that he can`t possibly get a fair trial because he`ll know the outcome of it before it starts ?
  7. I find this topic very disconcerting as, although a few months off yet, my 370 will be due it`s first service at 12 month old by end of February. I do like to give it some as and when but don`t regularly give it a good thrashing around the streets of Manchester and would be horrified at the thought of anyone else doing so. I plan on taking it to Westway Nissan Manchester as I bought it from there and it is the nearest so anyone else used them/have any comments about them ?
  8. I`ll let the wife know he won`t be calling at the garage where she works for fuel anymore. She`s never said he`s been in in a 370 before though.
  9. Almost 9 years ago I was at work and my car parked in the parking area at the rear of the station when the high winds blew a large part of the roof structure into the Town Hall car park next door. As it did so falling masonry trashed the tail gate and rear bumper of my car which luckily then wasn`t the Z. The building insurers refused to pay out claiming an act of God and my insurers were happy to accept this which cost me the excess and my no claims bonus and the Force did not feel inclined to compensate me for the losses. Only when I issued a County Court claim against the Chief Constable did they see sense and pay up leading to my insurers making full recovery as well.
  10. That mpg is pathetic. My RCZ averaged only 1/2 mpg less with a 200bhp 1.6 turbo !
  11. I think it looks really nice, even nicer than the current one, which I do quite like though. Reminds me more of the first original fast backs. Would have to be at least equal in performance and no more expensive than my Z to be a contender though and even then I wouldn`t swap the Z for one - cos I`m just never going to part with the Z, ever !
  12. Was on the Orient car park when I just nipped in for a bit more Xmas shopping (such fun when it`s heaving) about an hour ago.

    370Z Mats

I`m not as much bothered by the logo looking a little less white as I am about the bits coming off the backing underneath. £80 for genuine Nissan mats less than 9 months ago and I`m already thinking I`d have got better after market ones off Ebay !
  14. I think you should. I`m pretty much in exactly the same position and paid £250 in March with Privilege.
  15. Nothing now that I`ve retired (30 years not 65) (except all the painting and decorating and gardening and other stuff that I`ve been putting off for the last 10 years) so take the Z for a spin whenever I fancy.
  16. Saw it about 3.30 just approaching the Police Station. I was going the other way but wasn`t in mine, was in the wife`s Mokka. Think it`s the first one I`ve ever seen around the area since I got mine in March.
  17. Hi, They plug in underneath the dash on the drivers side.
  18. I think, in reality, anything which makes you number plate look more interesting or fancy is more than likely going to make it illegal.
  19. I had a Citroen C2 VTS HDI. 110bhp 1.6 turbo diesel in a small car so quite nippy but still returned an average 53 mpg and was only £30 a year for the tax. Was never really a big fan of French cars but I had this from new until over 5 years with no problems at all and I expect they`re quite cheap second hand now.
  20. Luckily my wife is way too terrified to drive mine out of fear of doing just such a thing which works out just fine until I can`t have a drink cos we`re in my car so I`m driving us home !
  21. The wife. Few years ago we were passing through Grimsby and I had quickly pulled over when we saw a garage as she wanted something but can`t remember what it was now. Anyway she got out and went around the back of the car to cross the road and after a moment or so I thought I`d better park a little better and started to slowly reverse only to notice as the car gently hit her that she was still standing there waiting to cross. Funny but she`s never seemed able to forget about it !
  22. I remember seeing a guide on a DIY fit of an auto dimming rear view mirror, think they used one from a BMW. Can`t find anything on here now so maybe it was on a US site.
  23. I`d have one or any other BMW for that matter. Purely so as not to get any points for speeding as, judging from our little trip down the M6 & M5 to Cornwall and back the other week, the speed limits don`t legally apply to you if you`re in a BMW !
  24. I`ve enjoyed doing it a few times on holiday where you could gallop along the beach or trek through the wilderness but don`t see the fun in riding them along the side of the roads in this country - hoping they don't get spooked by some loud exhaust on a 350.
