Not really, if you went out in the dry and braked as hard as you could, i bet you could lock the brakes and get the abs kicking in, so if your locking the wheels a pad and disc wont change that as youve reached the limit of adhesion, its as efficient as it gets at that point, hopefully that makes sense. A decent pad and disc though will vastly improve feel and fade.

Go for those then, dont worry about what we like as we will all have different tastes.

Pads and discs wont help you stop any quicker, but they will increase feel and less fade. I settled on a set of mtec j hook discs and ferrodo ds2500 pads, very happy with that set up on road and track.

Not so sure I go along with like for like, I bet a set of rotas, invidia gemini exhaust or aftermarket bumpers for example cost less than oem options, but your policy will likely be loaded if you have them, shouldnt it cost less if your parts are less expensive to buy?

The 370z hardly flew off the shelves with its rwd, big engine and sports car looks, cant see the replacement being similar at all, I suspect a small capacity turbo charged engine with hybrid drivetrain to "boost" its output and emissions figures, all said with a heavy heart of course but what us minority would like wont drive the market.

Its probably just cost, I.e they cant do both, lets assume to do a rb kitted 350z properly with decent wheels that fit without spacers and paint, not wrap, you got to be looking at 15k, so to add the performance, forced induction and forged engine another 15k plus the cost of the car, a 350z is going to stand you in at £35k, I dont think there are many people who would spend that on a 350. Like the colour, brave choice, hope he gets the wheels right to pull it off
