  1. I also remember this from back then. IIRC the "aero" bolted to it was literally home-made and just bolted to it because the owner had seen something used that looked similar rather than because it actually does anything or researched in any form at all; so any aero on that car that's functional is purely by luck rather than design, let alone being beneficial to the aero. Good old turbotaoster or turbo to**er most referred to him as. There is a post elsewhere on here about this guy, scan the web, he is infamous, its on overclockers, pistonheads etc, he also crashed at brands hatch (last year i think). He had a brief stay of execution into Rx7 ownership which also didnt go well. Appeared on the forum and proceeded to tell everyone he was going to build a 200mph Rx7 for £10k, when asked how he could do that, he proceeded to tell everyone the Rx7 specialists were doing things wrong and basically everyone on the entire forum didnt have a clue, it was quite amusing to be fair. How everyone cheered when he wrote his std Rx7 off and went onto forums new and then the Lotus appeared, to every ones amusement, aerodynamacists were chipping in telling him his "theories" were wrong, he didnt believe them as he had "done some research". A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. C*ck of the highest order http://www.pistonhea...c.asp?t=1316093 http://www.lotustalk...k-build-167082/
  2. Someone could have been cruel and put bread all over it, we used to do it to a "mate" years ago who kept inviting himself out with us on surf trips, soon as he was in the water, covered his van in bread.
  3. ^^^^ Afraid to say thats exactly what i thought, what would be my earnings over that period

  7. I have seen zero facts or proof from the stay either, as you say above, its all if buts and maybes, whilst Coldel speaks very eloquently and knowledgeably about the "possible" effects, no one can factually say without a shadow of doubt we will be worse off. So until its done, we dont actually know what trade deals can be negotiated and how the exit will happen and how much it will cost and where the money "saved" will go etc
  8. Listen to a banker, you got to be kidding me right, they are one of the main reasons we are in this sh*t!!!!
  9. You sure your not a politician Plummet as you sensationalised earlier would be the bet, a few p here and there is insignificant. So what is your view on plummet, happy to continue the chat via pm for the bet guidelines Also happy to have a view from the upper echelon on their definition of plummet.
  10. Define your version of "plummet" as you previously said and i will take the bet, payable to the club.
  11. Whilst i fully bow to your understanding of the politics behind this, there is absolutely NO guarantee this will happen or the £ plummeting etc as others have said and whilst i agree no politicians are giving you an answer to how the proposed the exit will happen, no one is reassuring anyone of our membership if we stay. On the flip side, are you prepared to take the risk that our continued membership within the EU wont lead to a huge rise in our contributions over the years, that we lose the pound sterling, that our trade wont continue to decline to a disproportionate level vs contributions etc Personally i could could quite easily go along with the proposed collapse of the eu if we leave, so the free trade will be up for debate anyway if there is no more EU.
  12. No better than an uprev i would imagine and you will have to find someone to map it. Going to put it up on spotted on ebay
  13. Good price but remember your loosing your side impact protection you get with std doors. Ideally you would want door bars in place.
  14. Absolutely, its a no win, but mass migration is a no win either, so you could argue, why bother letting them in, leave them to it too. I dont mean that as a inflammatory comment to your valid points, but there has to be a better solution than either scenario. Its like a disease, pointless just treating the effects, you have to tackle the cause to make it stop. I guess its easy to say, what was the point in getting involved in Iraq and Afghanistan, are things better off for our intervention, well, we really cant say what would have happened if we had left Saddam to it and same goes for the Taliban. A topic for another time i guess.
  15. Absolutely agree with all the above, but getting their homes/countries safe, some how, is far better than whos going to accept how many and when imho. I just see no future in mass migration of epic proportions to the "civilised" west, its just not sustainable no matter who is in charge.
  16. It sounds obvious and not meant as condescending but buy the best condition car your budget allows, i wouldnt worry too much what year, mileage (so long as its average or thereabouts) and you wont get an hr for anywhere near £6k more like £8k so its either a de or rev up
  17. Sorry to say i dont not think the answer to Syria is just accept the migrants, the terrorists need wiping out so they can go back home, that is the most positive thing we (the eu) can do. How it is done is a completely different kettle of fish of course.

    Oh lord

When something like this comes up i always ask, who has got 60k to spunk, whilst i appreciate what it is, if the chips were down and you actually had 60k to spend on one car to enjoy, i honestly dont think you would. If you had 60k lying around however and it was a toy/investment that is a different story.
  19. Not at all, removed the s and it does nothing
  20. ^^^ Tried and just cant get it, i must be a tard, is there anyway to type out an example without it embedding?
  21. Think was listed on ebay before, lets see if the sale goes through this time. I like the comment: fitted with stillen supercharger and therefore does not have the problems associated with the Vortechs..... Whats that, they make better power and you dont have to cut a hole in your bonnet and add some awful bulge thing.
