So this guy has stuck a car in space, with a mannequin on board, using 21st century tech? Wow! Wake me up when one of his novelty “spaceships” have sent back twitpics showing people overtaking Voyager 1, in all its 1970s glory

along, nice Zed.

That thread is dedicated to arguing about EVs.

It’s been fully baked, but yeah I’m not really touching it for a good while yet.

It's been a while, but she went in for the door damage to be sorted and, as usual, the lads at St Anne's Bodywork centre did a fantastic job. I can't see any evidence of the blow in on the door or back quarter, which is exactly what I wanted. Today the weather has been ok, so she got her first wash since the work was done. It's been a fair few weeks since the post repair wash; involving snow, rain, grey, brown, hundred of motorway miles and moving house - total neglect. She doesn't look too bad for it though. As you can see, the damaged passenger door looks splendid now. I've not been able to give her the full treatment as my detailing stuff is still in storage, so I'm operating on two buckets, a mitt, shampoo, air freshener and CarPro Reload - no tyre shine and I might have to buy some emergency snow foam. Quick update on the new UEL and remap. I absolutely love the new sound, it not only makes it more Subaru and gives a nice worbly note at the lights, the increased volume takes care of the many squeaks and creaks inside the cabin. Puuurfect.

At least when it’s done you’ll have time to build that spaceship!

Sell the 70, buy a muscle car for weekends. You’ll never really need to hammer it because of the track toy scratching that itch and you’d have something classic to enjoy in your leisure time as you go V8ing around the country. -
You checked every single one of the various output volumes for each input? No sneaky checked mute boxes?

I'm at real risk of asking a stupid question here, but I'll go with it. Isn't the pickup the same length because there's going to be more oil in there, so the surface will remain at the same height?

kill it with fire.

Of course, I should have just said any decent dedicated camera.

Year on year it's getting harder to pull together the full Desk Calendar, the problem isn't just about getting a variety of cars to fill it, but getting enough images of sufficient resolution and correct exposure to stand up to printing. Simply pulling images off the forum isn't enough, they are compressed as they are uploaded to reduce the bandwidth required to host our own images. This is why the very good people who actually make it all happen by submitting their photos end up having to email them to me. More importantly, for anyone who takes the time to submit images, I really don't mind them having several in the Desk Calendar, because we simply wouldn't have one without their generous input. What would be really good is if we can get more photos from meets where at least one member takes shots either with a DSLR or a decent phone and sends them to us, uncompressed. This way we'll have good shots of a wide variety of cars. All that said, I'm not a total dinosaur, I recognise that sharing images on Faceballz and Instagram is where it's at in the long term.

Hi Everybody We're considering setting up a forum email newsletter, perhaps once a quarter or maybe even monthly, potentially containing some, all or none of the following: Member submitted articles A member build project or two Trader News Upcoming Events/Drives Any Nissan News Something else you'd like to see We're just spitballing this for now, but we'd love to hear from you on if you'd be into receiving and reading it, contributing to it, anything in particular you might like to see in there. Thanks for your input

Anyone using the Sony XAV-AX100 Head Unit?
Stutopia replied to ZedAndy's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
I know it’s not a Zed but I had this exact same problem mounting it in my BRZ. In the end I just modified the brackets by elongating the holes, shifting the whole unit up about 5-10mm. -
Can’t believe we don’t have someone V8 curious, I’d have snapped this up before I bought the BRZ and gone all lightweight.

The desk calendars arrived today and have been posted out.
-
Excellent, glad they are landing with you I got a notification of shipping for the desk calendars today, so I hope to have them all out with everyone early next week.

Good choice, I got lured into the PIAA world, weren't as good as your classic Bosch. Not to mention, not even half as manly to say.

What does it transform into? If you're going balls out on a hot hatch, why not make it mental? Hope you enjoy it.
