    Nissan quote?

Not a big job - get a local garage to do it. Will be less than half the price of Nissan and prob a better job. Better still - get a Z owners thats good with tools near you to do it. Bung him 80 quid and have a natter at same time.
  3. First car i had bought for me - a escort 3 door estate (Mk3). First car I bought with my own cash - Corolla GTi16V (ae92 i think?) hatchback (fwd drive one in white, sadly not the rwd version). A c-plate and it even had electric windows. A few scrapes here and there - nothing tipex (yes really) wouldn't hide. The doors whistled at motorway speeds - but it was great. To be fair if it had been the RWD one I'd have probably binned it anyway at the age of 18!!!
  4. Rota grid drifts... I know everyone runs them but I think they look awesome Will be a huge improvement over the touring wheels. Just IMO, rotas drifts do tend to look smaller than other alloys like for like - think it has to do with spoke design. Might be worth considering - you dont want to spend all your hard earned and find the wheel "look" to small - esp with darker colours.
  5. Welcome. Good luck with your search. A few newbies on here at moment so looks like forum will continue strong. A few months ago it was opposite - every one seemed to be jumping ship. Do we reckon the 350z is a seasonal buy??
  6. For the Ring - a BMW Diesel 330 - 4 doors / torque / rear wheel drive. Should get a decent one for 5K. Prob need to do brake for Ring though....
  7. Tyres will fit no probs on they rims. My wheels, (while not rotas) are et20 8.75 front and et20 9.75 rear with standard tyre sizing. You'd be hard pushed to notice the difference in arch filling between the extra .25 in rim width that mine have. Hope this helps.
  8. Keep looking mate, don't jump in and buy a binger!! Your in no rush so time is on your side.
  9. And the same from me - welcome to a fellow WestLothian Z owner.
  10. And same as mine ALSO in azure. :teeth:
  11. Damn....anything for a pint!!! Good you got it sorted.
  12. Generally yes - better time to sell. But I bought mine just before Christmas due to condition, so you never can tell. Try selling it private and see how you go.
  13. Faulty (or dirty) ABS sensor will give you above issues. Chuck it on a running code checker (not cheap ones from ebay) and it shoudl tell you issue. If its ABS sensor you owe me a pint!! Hope you get it sorted.
  14. 8K as a trade in? Against what? From what i was offered a PX 8K does seem a bit (but not by much) low. Your car has miles , condition, colour and service history in its favour.
  15. Well posting year/miles/model etc might help. FWIW - I'm selling mine in a few months, low miles a few mods but if I return it to a standard car (2005/37kmiles/azure), I'm getting offered 6700. That is a part exchange without even seeing my car. But even part ex is full of worms - as a high part ex price will most likely mean your paying extra or a premium for your new car. Point to remember is dealers need to make a living also - which I dont mind (unlike others). With mods and so on I asked forum members what mine was worth - and prices were all over the shop - much the same as it is retail for 350zs. Reckon a lot to do with that is condition - a similiar mile/age car that is a standard low spec (cloth/non GT), nasty colour as one thats mint (decent spec) with a few mods and decent colour might vary with well over 1.5k. So best bet - describe your car honestly, what mods it has and someone will pop along and let you know. Dont rely on autotrader and such - cars might be advertised as such - but what they sell for is something else (again - back to condition/spec/miles). If you have mods - strip them off and sell - you will defo make more. For instance - milltek cat back second hand - 500 quid? Side skirt - 80 quid? D2 controller - 60 quid? Wheels - 400 quid? HFCs - 150 quid? etc etc . Already your looking at 1200 quid. Would you get that extra with leaving them on the car???? I wish! Me?? I dont have the heart so mine will be sold with wheel, skirts, milltek and all other bits.
  16. Advice needed Buy mine in a few months time...LOL. Only joking (sort of) but when you mention leaking roof - really shouldn;'t esp with that mileage. Also agree with others that its a tad espensive for a non-gt. For some reason GT fetch a bit more than the sums suggest - esp when they only had bose/leather over the no GTs. And colour also has a ref to second hand values. Get some pics up.

    metal clips

The plate that holds the pads in place? It only goes one way. Some brembos are fitted with anti squeal shims that fit between the pad back and the caliper pistons. Ebay is prob your best bet for replacements (of either)
  18. 6 series conv. 4 seats (just).
  19. tamoras are real cheap on pistonheads at mo.....but are they ticking mines just waiting to shred the wallet
  20. It needs calibrating to the throttle., zero to 100% Sorry cant help further but abroad working. Someone else will be along shortly and can maybe scan the section from manual for you. Have you tried googling set up guide?
  21. I had a set of refurbed ones for 200.....and not much interest. So I'd say for scruffy ones you'd might struggle. Get them refurbed and keep them for when you sell.....thats what I decided.
  22. Will prob get dent master yo try and repair small dink on my drivers door too ....get it tip top before selling it in summer. Only a small dink but it annoys me if I was looking to buy a car so for 65 quid worth it. Most ight even make the kids pay....lol.
  23. The clinking in door could just be a dodgy relay.
  24. 4k?? Bite has hand off. Very cheap with low miles. Even if its a minger, still plenty in the budget to fix n sell on. BUT as with everything cheap.....very few bargains out there so beware. Good luck and post some pics up when you get it. Also book it in for mot on day of purchase.....that way should be able to drive it to mot station without upsetting plod - providing you insure it.
