  1. Have a look at an online detailing shop, check out their products - My regulars are: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk http://www.i4detailing.co.uk
  2. Did you read all of that in the daily mail As said, take it to a place that knows what they are doing (post up what area you are in and ask here), show them exactly what you want done and get a quote. That's only going to cost you a bit of time.
  3. If you don't want to cut/rewire bits - then why don't you take it to a decent local company to do it for you ? (same as you would do for mechanical things if you don't want to tamper)
  4. Another thumbs up for the Eco Nergy here
  5. I've got some mates there for the weekend as well, (continually) wrong side of payday for me to head over unfortunately They'll be in gt2/3's and 964's Have an AWESOME time - amazing place !
  6. I'm going to 'fix' the world with my hammer if I don't stop these noises man
  7. So would you just drop that in, or glue it in place ? I'm thinking that with the adhesive foam\draft excluder, it may peel off when the heater is on. I have what sounds like a tormented monkey trapped in the dash I also spotted this as well: (weather strip from B&Q) http://search.diy.com/search#w=weather%20strip&asug=
  8. That's why I recorded the sound in the cabin, as other people have had it plenty of times - thus my thinking that someone may be able to say - yep, that's what it sounds like. My dash does the annoying squeaky monkey sound, which I'm aiming to fix this weekend - in fact I want to get rid of all of the rattles, driving me mad ! Although I'm not sure if it's the dash rattling, I'll move the mic to various positions and upload results.
  9. Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out what the fook this annoying rattling is. I recorded some audio, ignore the high ringy sound, I think that's just the battery dying in the mic. The car was down at Abbey on Saturday, and the guys kindly had a quick listen and a look underneath. Nothing spotted that would cause the noise, so I'm left thinking it's probably one or both of the compression\banana arms. I know it's not the bushing end as there are SuperPro bushes in place. I also tried quickly fixing the mic to near the compression arm but I couldn't hear the noise from either side. However, it was a bit slapdash, and I should probably just zip-tie it near the joint end properly to listen again. Note: Initially I thought the noise was coming from the driver side rear, something in the boot but I removed parts from there and the noise persists. I'll try the mic in different parts of the car as well. Interiror_Sound.mp3
  10. looks boring, sounds boring and powered by diseasel but has torque... stick it up yer jaxy
  11. Hey guys, I contacted a company regarding one of their products as I couldn't see specs for pre-outs. I had this reply but I'm still slightly confused Comes with the standard ISO cable and RCA cable . There are four speaker wires ,one amp control wire and one sub wire in the ISO cable . There are four AMP output cables and one video input ,two audio outputs and two inputs in the RCA cable. So does that sound like 4 pre-outs ?
  12. er RBF 600 1ltr = £24.94
  13. Motul RBF600/660 http://www.opieoils....rake-fluid.aspx or http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-1078-motul-rbf-660-factory-line-race-brake-fluid.aspx
  14. So I've definitely decided that for now, head-unit upgrade is the way to go. Looking at what is available, I don't think I'd mind a flat screen with minimal buttons - this one has 3 pre-outs (which I presume is what we require?). http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/cad-beat690-beat-690-dvdusbsd-bluetooth.html I saw some other ones on amazon for a great price but possibly poor quality.
  15. Thanks for this thread, I couldn't work out what it was called, nor how to attach it correctly as my one is a bit loose.
  16. This looks very clean and simple and has 2 x Pre-Out (enough?): http://www.halfords....yId_265857#tab1 Although I don't use apple products, I think the DA100 is meant to work with Android but it's £250 ! ffs
  17. It's not a case of what I can or can't afford, it's just not something I'm 'into' - so I don't want to spend time/money having things fabricated, rewired etc I guess for now, perhaps just fitting a new HU will be the first step, at least I won't have to keep smacking the side of it. But I'm struggling to find something aesthetically pleasing
  18. This is one that crops up that looks fairly OE: http://www.beat-audio.co.uk/BEAT350.html I know it's just a cheap one but I really can't stand the look of many I'm seeing
