  1. Decided I'm going to replace both, as I've no idea which one is the root of the cause. At least I'll know they are new. A couple of questions regarding them: Approximate life/mileage expectancy ? Time fitting per arm ?
  2. Yep, getting some issues the last couple of days. Pretty sure admins/mods aware ?
  3. Hey thanks for posting that up, that's a serious alternative for me now. Probably worth looking at the manual and FAQ for people interested: http://www.gromaudio.com/downloads/GROM-USB.pdf http://www.gromaudio.com/support/usb-faq.html
  4. You know that $325 will work out as £325 when they are available.
  5. Ok, I'll do my best to get some more audio up as it could help others at some point as well. Something I've noticed in the last couple of days, the rattle sound comes on especially when I lightly touch the brake pedal, barely enough to slow the car down at all but enough obviously to move the pads slightly.
  6. I ordered this set from ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160729342041?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 The tossers sent me a bloody snow/ice over shoe - I'm going to try and remove the bleedin screws tomorrow but I hope they are a normal thread as I'm going to replace them (I hope).
  7. http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/interior-coatings/c6-matte-dash/ All of their products are fantastic !
  8. If it was circled in white paint, you can claim. Do it. Also, depending on your council - if you spot a pot hole for the love of god check their website to see if they have a feature to mark them. Someone will head out (fairly quickly from my experience) and mark it off. Example: https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/road-maintenance-and-cleaning/problems-on-roads-and-highways/report-a-defect-part-ii?defectid=237135 The Surrey site allows you to mark it off on a map.
  9. If it's wet, keep your foot in around the corners (bit like FWD) and trust the electronics
  10. Won't watch anything, will just buy it immediately
  11. I need a trolley jack that fits under the car properly, although I'd love to short cut that and get a lift !
  12. Any others guys ? I'm on a tool spending spree
  13. How far is buster away from Surrey ?
  14. I thought I'd start this thread as I'm sure there are times when you are trying to work on the car, and you don't quite have the right tool to hand... Hopefully this thread will help banish those pesky times ! (every time in my case) So, bar the usual spanners, sockets and sledge hammers, I'll get this going. Crows Foot Spanner - I just ordered a 15 piece set, 8mm-24mm - they look seriously helpful ! 250mm long, magnetic spark plug socket (10mm DE, 8mm HR) Nylon/plastic trim removal kit - save scratching the interior trim Flexible pick up claw (most seem 600mm long)
  15. Thanks for the links guys ! I bought this set: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230916268941?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  16. How is your MPG at the moment ? I wonder if something like the MAF sensor is dirty, then once cleaned perhaps it would sort out the fuel\air ratio ? (completely stabbing in the dark here - no idea if that's how it works )
  17. I've managed to turn the air filter side but cannot do the other side at all, bar the screwdriver idea - any particular tool that is going to reach ? Bad day today, nothing done just freezing nuts off and swearing outside.
  18. Any idea on what size those sodding star key screws are ? FFS - why couldn't that be normal !
  19. Was going to do loads to the Zed this weekend, I am officially bored with this weather now!!! Same here, I need to start checking some bits for MOT as well as giving it a decent clean. But I've started doing music again, so plenty for me to get stuck into - Worth having a couple of back-up hobbies !
  20. My MR2 had EBC standard discs and yellow pads - Very happy indeed and that's exactly what I'm going to try out in April/May for the Z.
  21. I hope you fitted snow tyres Ekona ! Seeing pics from mates, they and I bet yourself are gutted (bastard weather !)
  22. Snowy down Surrey/Guildford this morning ! Yey & booo as I'm meant to go see a carrera gt this morning
  23. I'd say nip into b&q get some decent wire cutters and crimping tool, zip ties, solder iron etc Nothing worse than starting something you can't finish without the right tools ! (argh, how many times that has happened)
