  1. They are replacement dampers without any adjustable parts, which is what I wanted. Of course they do sell ones that you can adjust. B6 shocks for a mild drop or standard spring. B8 shocks for lowering springs that go 30mm and lower (down to 50mm). Careful in spring selection, linear or very mild progressive ones (so my ones will be matched with tein s).
  2. (doing this from my phone so couldn't circle them) So the 2 nuts which aren't coming off have a little bit of black marking on them, just so I could see if the bolt was turning as well (just the nuts moving). So I've not got a clue how to get them off, not enough space for the nut splitters I bought, nor can I get a dremel in there. I'll see if a local garage can help me in the morning but just thought I'd ask for any suggestions. I thought perhaps heat, as I have a heatshield I could use to help protect the wires but otherwise I'm stumped. Extremely frustrated but need to move on and work it out.
  3. I'll probably start tomorrow evening and Friday night. Can't wait ! Very good price as well there.
  4. Yeah, depending how the rates are (that's why I popped up EUR). You can add it to the basket and so on to see - the weight comes in at their 16Kg shipping price.
  5. 524.90 EUR via Paypal - in case there was any issue's but no problemo.
  6. YEY So after seeing this very, very tempting offer, I decided to take the plunge and purchase a set of B6's from the company linked above as it was a substantial saving. It did take a fair bit longer than expected but it seemed like they had run out of stock, and then had to wait for Bilstein to shipout/make more. Ordered on the 21st Jan, arrived today 11th Feb - probably would have taken about a week normally I'd imagine. All contents as should be, well packaged and hopefully once fitted a crud load nicer than 100k old shocks
  7. overlord93: You'll possibly get defensive over this but so be it. On this forum, we get loads of potential owners or new owners asking the same crap over and over without searching - have a search/flick through the pages to see how often these questions are asked and what the replies are. Usually comes down to - you've bought the wrong kind of car, need to go forced induction, or dropping some serious cash on the engine/chassis/drivetrain to have some work done if it's staying NA & lightening at all costs. It's a GT car - with sporting capabilities - it's NOT a sports car (IMHO), it's a compromised car but HAS potential with ££££. Now watch these - and you'll get a better idea if you can't be arsed to read: https://www.youtube....h?v=QsW3nB70LkA https://www.youtube....h?v=3M2nSMzdxg8 (ok - subtitles so you've STILL got to read) http://my350z.com/forum/ Go have a look there as well.
  8. What intake is that you've popped on?
  9. A friend has one of his Gallardo, great quality (check out all of the pipes Torqen are offering as well), no fitment issues obviously but hey, totally different car.
  10. Damn, wish I had a roof and a lift at home to work on the car !
  11. http://www.ultraracing.my/catalog/index.php?id_category=307&controller=category
  12. You could easily get that out with an impact wrench - Clark or ZMANALEX will sort you out im sure.
  13. Yeah as others have said, get them taken off the wheels and inspected.
  14. I spotted this a couple of weeks ago one very late evening and forgot to post the link up. It's just an alternative to purchasing the full rocker cover, and if you **** it up at least there are some brand new ones available from our Traders here It's been tried and tested over in the states, and the company WILL ship to us over here in the UK as I've asked them about it already. 'Yes, we do ship international. It will be additional $20 for the shipping charge.' $175 +$20 shipping (£128 appx) It will include following items. - R&D Factory 6 spark plug grommets. -R&D Factory DIY Alignment tool. - Nissan OEM Valve Cover Gaskets Both (right and left). - NISSAN OEM PCV VALVE O-ring seal. http://www.rndfactory.com Specifically this page to purchase (email them first if you're unsure): http://www.rndfactory.com/Web/NISSAN-vc%20kit.html Installation video guide: Photo guide: http://www.rndfactor...n-nissan-A.html Their grommets are made from a different compound and will outlast the factory grommets. Main US forum link: http://my350z.com/fo...it-is-back.html (Useful vid for removal etc - he does muck this up - but the removal and tips are handy)
  15. I'm sure lots of you know this channel already but for those that don't, subscribe to this one, it's really useful when you're working on the Z at home or in a self service type of garage: https://www.youtube.com/user/emsotakon
  16. (Bilsteins on the way now Bb) Yeah the thread looks fine from what I can see at least (about 4 rings exposed above the nut). Just seems very odd, I've not experienced this before I'll grab a little set of splitters anyway
  17. I was out all weekend last week (until late in the night ), ok not a gravel drive but the cold didn't matter with thermals (£10 amazon), decent work gloves and overtrousers etc & I hate the cold ! See my thread: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/94177-self-service-garages/
  18. Possibly but the thing is I did them by hand and was paying attention to what I was doing, they aren't at an odd angle either. But maybe the thread is just knackered inside the nut in that case. I've seen there are tools/bits to extract them without resorting to cutting if that's the case.
  19. Ok on the standard shocks, I just needed to tighten up the passenger side 12mm top mount nuts (slight rattle from the passenger side). The driver side is torqued up properly, and one of the 3 is on the passenger side BUT the other two aren't tightening up at all. I can't work out what is happening, I briefly tried to undo them as well but they just seem to be spinning in one spot. I'll try with the impact wrench to get them off when the new suspension arrives but for now, any thoughts how to undo them ?
  20. Could help with some weight saving here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/94517-for-sale-seibon-carbon-boot-mocal-thermostatic-oil-cooler-hoses-buddyclub-exhaust/
  21. Yeah g35 has a bunch, sorry on phone so no links saved! Check my useful tools thread, worth looking :-)
  22. Look at the guides and the US forums (my350z.com is good), they also have guides. Also YouTube, try z33 not just 350z.
  23. Once my new shocks turn up, had the new poly bushings fitted, aligned etc I'll have a better idea of what the next bits I'll be after
  24. I couldn't really hear it I'm afraid but I'm not great at diagnosing these noises, hopefully someone will. You could get it booked in with one of the recommended places on here to help you.
