  1. Facelift or Pre Facelift? I have just taken the Zun-sport grille off my Facelift and could use that as a template if it helps. David
  2. SMD - on the facelift the painted slats are positioned quite far forward. If you look from the side they protrude out from the grille aperture hence need to be removed. To OP - where are you based? David I live in Warrington. So no doubt I am no where near anyone else Darn- hoped you were down my way - sorry.

  4. Your Zunsport grille should have a "step" in the middle at the bottom to match the recess in the bumper lip. If it doesn't you don't have the correct grille. If it does, then it should fit - mine did! I just checked my invoice from Steve @ Redline-Styling but it doesn't have a part number! David
  5. I have my "Mines-alike" front splitter still in gel coat black - soon to have Tarmac Sportz sidesteps in whatever finish they are (gloss I think?) and RT Perf rear diffuser also in gel coat black. I think gloss for the front splitter makes it too obvious so am going to try Plastidip first then if that looks naff - it will be satin black. I don't think all three MUST have same finish as there are significant breaks between one item and rest. Just my opinion though! David
  6. I use iOBD2 - http://iobd2.co.uk/ Hardware is GBP45 for Android or GBP55 for Apple - software is free. Works on my iPhone and iPad through Wifi. David
  7. Yes Ian, I did mean black, I recall your postings about the gunmetal Plastidip! David
  8. Remove the silver trim from the passenger door handle and take that with you to try and get a better match. David
  9. I am having the same dilemma! Left mine for now in black gel coat - as is rear diffuser - Tarmac Sportz side steps due to be fitted soon which I think are either gel coat or gloss black. Car is Gunmetal - metallic silver wheels (almost OEM colour just a little more flake). Is either polished gel coat, plastidip black or satin black. Shied away from gloss black as I thought it made it just too prominent. Might plastidip and if I don't like it, peel it off. hohum... life is hard...! David
  10. I used the supplied Allen bolt to secure the wing top mounting plate which allows the plastic finishers to be used without any modifications. David
  11. Having seen the additional pictures am now stupidly excited to get these fitted...! David
  12. I think a PM to the ZedShed will be made...! Ordered a set but no matter how easy to drill and fit... I won't! David
  13. Same bolt holes so piece of p1ss Like I said they are a perfect mod for ease and subtlety and of course price !! I'll take a set in FRP off your hands! David
  14. Superb pictures and now I KNOW I need a proper camera! Great additional information to my little essay. As for Abbey's GT86 - I had a play with it the other week - what a lively car. As I said to Mark - feels like a little boisterous puppy - all eager just to get up and get going - super fun. Delightfully sharp turn in and balance through corners, responsive to throttle, lovely weighting on brakes. Felt a little "light" compared to the Zed and not as relaxed as a mile munching tourer - but an absolute hoot with a good level of kit and build quality - apart from the handbrake which I thought was too close to driver's side. David
  15. Rear (FRP) diffuser now on - front splitter next and then side steps (Aerotek/Knight Racer) -keeping them all in gloss black. David
  16. Here you are - on my less than clean car! I did think about a CF unit, but I thought as it is not highly visible I'd go for FRP. David
  17. I have just fitted that style diffuser on mine and was concerned about it "just stopping" but I actually quite like it. Mine in gloss black though not CF. David
  18. Trotted over to Brands today to watch the Team Trophy in which Team Lizard competes - thought you might like a little write up. (sorry for the quality of the pictures - I think I need to invest in a "proper" camera!). Unexpectedly chilly for the morning’s practise/qualifying session at about 12C but at least it was dry. The Team lizard 350Z was looking good in paddock and on track seemed to acquit itself quite well with a qualifying place of 10th on the 30 strong grid. By the time the race start arrived the sun had broken through and although it was a little windy the temperatures had lifted nicely. The start was “interesting†as the Seat on the second row of the grid didn’t get away dropping to virtually dead last (looked like wrong gear had been selected and car totally bogged down on the green light). Luckily everyone managed to avoid the almost stationary car and the grid thundered into Paddock Hill bend. Steve took the start in the 350z and ran a good stint picking up a place in some close racing, incurred a 5 second penalty for exceeding track limits but resolutely kept up his pace and pressure in the pack he was running in. A heart-stopping incident as the leader tried to lap a couple of back markers going into Paddock Hill bend saw him tagged at the front end and a half spin ensued – how he managed to avoid the inner barrier on the right side of the track is a total mystery before he ended up embedded in the gravel trap on the LEFT side of the circuit – as everyone around him took evasive action (successfully!). The Pace car was brought out as marshals pushed the (now ex race leading SEAT) out of the gravel trap and soon the pit lane looked like the M25 on a Friday evening as most of the field came in for their compulsory driver change. Steve was now leading the field and did so for about 3 laps before pitting and Mark took over. His pace was superb, clearly the car was running well and he was picking off the cars in front with some very clean overtaking moves . Soon the Zed was into 4th (on the road) place but to maintain that position Mark needed to pull out a 5 second lead over the Renault Clio Cup car behind him. The gap started to increase, 1 second, 2 seconds, 2.7seconds, 3.4 seconds but Mark was unlucky with traffic as a few times he caught groups of car just before the entry points to corners and while he was able to despatch them easily it cut into his lead meaning that the 5th place Clio was able to keep the gap below the needed 5 seconds and Mark simply ran out of race time and the team finished in a strong 5th place. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable race and if you have the chance of going to a Team Trophy event I thoroughly recommend it as the cars are varied, well prepared and the racing is very entertaining. David.
  19. I used some Menzerna polish on mine at weekend - but I think anything which has micro abrasive particles would do the job. Menzerna is what I use on my machine polisher although I used it by hand on the headlight covers. You could try toothpaste! Or try some plastic window polish - you might be able to buy that from Halfords - not sure about that. David
