When looking if a car if it had only been serviced by the owner and not been seen by a specialist/indie for a few years it would put me off. I've no idea how competent they are (buying through a forum would help some of those doubts). I'm capable to do an general maintenance myself but I get mine service by an indie who knows these cars as he is able to spot things that are starting to wear before I will and.

I've not changed my stereo for the same reasons as the others, nothing near to OEM looking.

I would be abit wary about getting wheels done separately as unless done at the same time from the same batch the shade could be slightly different. But if the refurber is good it probably won't be different.

I think the new Fiesta ST has overboost. In the states its power is listed as a couple of bhp higher than europe. In the states their rules allow the overboost figure to be the stated power whereas in europe it is not. If I remember correctly the overboost figure is only available for a few seconds at WOT.....

There is a nail varnish that sets under uv light, it is supposed to be harder wearing than normal stuff. My other half does nails hence my in depth knowledge

I have What Gas Petrol Prices, it's free. It is not perfect but gives an idea if a petrol station has super unleaded or not.

Technology moves on, a car that was 5star 10 years ago would not barely make 3 star now, because of this manufacturers need to improve safety equipment to be able to advertise their cars as 5star. I'm not saying the system is perfect as some of the methods available to get a better NCAP score don't add a whole to save you once a crash happens but it is there to help prevent one in the first place

Why didn't they make that stereo available here I wonder? I think the radio is coded to the car, either that or you'll need to enter a code when connecting. I've just had to do this second option on mine after disconnecting the battery for 5mins.

I was with Greenlight before I got the zed and they said they wouldn't insure me as I hadn't a rwd car for 12months, it just sounds like excuses. As others have said try the traders listed/recommended, some will be competitive some won't just try them all.
