  2. If it's bent and requires filler then why not? You pay your insurance for a reason and it's not for them to do the cheapest repair possible. You can be damn sure, after all the years I've paid insurance, if my car was bent I'd be wanting new parts and not filler.
  3. This. I've had correspondence with them a few times, and even visited them on 2 separate occasions. I was disappointed with their customer service on all occasions and took my money elsewhere. Wish I had known what they were like before I got the car, I travelled so far for it that I took it (little did I realise what lay beneath). Fundamentally there isn't much wrong with the car but when they shove radweld in the radiator to hide a leak god knows what else they do. Being the distance they were from me and the level to which they performed everything else required of them (not changing oil in a car sat for 9 years, underseal sprayed all over sideskirts/wheel arches/propshaft, bearings seized.... the list goes on) it was far safer to invest more money and make it decent. That's shocking! Very few importers about with any pride in what they do these days. It's a minefield out there at the minute. That's not the half of it. Car got through an MOT with these tyres (only one pictured but I have the others), plus numerous other failures with NO advisories: Only found out after I drove it 300 odd miles home, I guess it's a bit stupid of me but with a fresh MOT I didn't think I needed to check the inside of the tyres. They then proceeded to try and defend the MOT station like it was no big thing

  5. Even though I didn't get my 32 through torque gt (wish I did) I can't recommend their customer service enough. Always kept me up to date and I was so fussy that most other places would have probably returned my money. Months down the line I was willing to take a punt on a cheaper one due to frustration but they decided for me that I didn't want it... it proves that they wanted to find the car I wanted rather than sell me the one I didn't. Do not use dcy Europe.
  6. Go across to Mark and co at Abbey Motorsport, they'll tell you whether it's funked or not.
  7. Ah okay, I thought it was a stock photo see very similar ones to that all over the place. Unless I have to I won't be getting rid of it, it's just far too cool.
  8. Hah, touch wood the car has been okay for now.. Although it hasn't been out much. Next thing on the list is to get the map sorted but had a few unforeseen bills come in, hopefully I'll get it sorted end of next month. It does seem to be the way with the cars that something is always broken but it's an old car and it's going to need parts. If you go in with your eyes open and prepare for the wallet rape you should do just fine, it'll also help if you don't have to drive it everyday, helps spread failures across the year. What colour did you have? TH1 too? There's another bloody TH1 around the corner from me would you believe it (not sure if I mentioned it). I did phone you up a month or so ago for the clutch slave cylinder, you put me on to Abbey who got the part in the end. I'm sure I'll be needing parts at some point and I've got your phone number so expect more calls.
  9. That's a genuine Stillen roof spoiler too, a steal at £75.. Can't believe you took it off though, subtle improvment to the car.
  10. I have a middleman who handles all my transactions in Nigeria, I can give you his details if you want them. Bank transfer is how I pay for all of my cars, never had a problem.
  11. Didn't want to put the miles on it bro. That car had an xtreme clutch in it too, making it all the more genuine.
  12. No doubt I will, just like prisoners get used to picking up the soap in the showers. Yeah, I think that's the trick.. don't sell it after I've put most of my money into it.
  13. Thanks... Baptism by fire is pretty fitting I think. That car was fine until I started doing silly things to it. I think tomzzzcattle is getting on okay with it so maybe you're right, it is me.
  14. Yep, I think the car has spent more time in and around mechanic garages than my own! I think every day I've gone to take it out it's started to rain too, I've really not had much luck however hopefully soon I'll be able to enjoy it! It should be fixed tomorrow as Scott @ Abbey sorted me out with a slave cylinder after no one else could get me one. After pay day I'll take it to them to get the tune checked and sorted. Longer plans over winter are to sort the small amounts of rust (bulkhead, rear arch) and get the underseal removed and properly reapplied.
  15. Little update, found one problem after another with the car. Due to the problems, the bodges and distance of the garage I got it from I decided rather than going down the warranty route, risking more heart ache and financial bother further down the line I will stump up the cash to get everything renewed. At least this way I know the work has been done to a decent standard. I have (pictures to follow) replaced so far: New cam gears New cam belt (hks kevlar one) New pulleys/bearings New front pads New water pump Radiator system flushed, found to be full of radweld that has now blocked up the heater matrix. The car is currently in the garage awaiting a clutch slave cylinder that decided to let go at the weekend. Sadly, it has been an expensive month and a lesson not to buy on reputation alone.
  16. Doubt that in my experience. I doubt your doubt in my experience. Edit: Tradelink pay good money for good cars, if you're looking for a quick sale it might be a decent option.
  17. Was on the buy list next to the skyline, cool cars.
  18. Maybe my maths doesn't work but 7x13 is technically bigger?
  19. It's a standard sized plate isn't it with the legal font on? What size should it be
  20. Ye, g2a is basically the modern equivalent of a pirates cove. Full of looted treasure and scumbags.
  21. Car went off to SRD tuning (http://www.srdtuning.com/) today to have a new alarm fitted, they've got some cool motors there. I'll try and get some pics when I go pick it up.
  22. I think I looked into this previously and if you've been sent an item in error, as long as you notify them, they have a certain time period in which to collect it. Same thing happened to me when Vodafone sent me two galaxy s2's, I told them about it and they told me to go post it which I'm under no legal obligation to do. I told them the address it's at and they can collect any time they like, they never did and I ended up with a free s2 that paid for the contract.
  23. I haven't had a 350z for almost a year and the year and a bit before that mine was supercharged so I can't really remember what a standard one was like. However, compared to my one it feels very raw/mechanical and the steering feels far more direct than I remember the 350z being. Again, this one has a few modifications with Tein springs and Cusco adjustable arms with 265/35/18 tyres all round so that's probably helping a lot. I'm a bit gutted that calsonic radiators were standard in a lot of cars.
