  1. Thanks, I've been looking for ages for the right one and glad I passed on so many to get this one. Aww, don't tell me that they all had calsonic radiators I was feeling like a special boy. there is potentially something very interesting about this car, I've emailed a company in Japan to find out more.
  2. Thanks guys, sorry I've been busy collecting my new toy. Here are a few pics from the way home. I have to say that DCY Europe were pretty awesome throughout the purchase of the car, answered all my silly questions and even gave me first dibs on the car without a deposit until I had received some information on checks etc. The only thing I would say is, if you're going to buy a car from them do not get it undersealed there. I think Stevie Wonder does their underseal because not only did they cover the propshaft in waxoil (how smart) but they missed parts of the underside of the car. I'm now going to have to pay for it all to be stripped off and done right. A few things need doing on the car: New front brakes (it's currently like stopping a 747) New water pump and radiator system flushed Rear shocks are leaking and need replacing New front tyres as the current ones have perished and cracked. Oil service as the last one is unknown. It does come with some Japanese history however it's totally useless Oh and the best part about the car.... It's got a Calsonic radiator More updates soon!
  3. From what I've seen only 4% of R32 GTRs were made in this colour, no idea how accurate that is though. The other side of the can even has some Japanese text for that extra authenticity I only spent all this money so I could get myself higher up the like leaderboard.
  4. Thanks for the comments guys, I'm over the moon really. When I was younger I never thought I'd be able to afford a GTR but now I can look back at young me and say, suck it.
  5. Yeah, that's why I've been trying to get hold of one for the last 6 months before they go too mental but it's a bit of a minefield. Yeah, the garage said (as they would I guess) that it's one of the nicer ones they've seen. I needed to do some checks on it over the weekend/this week and luckily they gave me first refusal on it. After I bought it they told me they had a chap who came in and offered over the asking price to try and get it.
  6. Thanks, not sure if I'll keep the alloys on it tbh. Yeah, they are only going to go one way in value!
  7. Get hold of this next week with any luck, cannot wait! Sadly not rich enough to afford the newer versions but style wise I like this one the most anyway. Will be eating beans for a while but it will be worth it. I'll probably keep this thread updated with the things I do to it.
  8. Now who's making assumptions and generalising without facts? I guess I can say this much as it's not exactly argumentative. But myself and all my friends have lived through the modern times around that age and guess what. We were all ball scratching CoD players who couldn't be arsed to vote. Edit: removed my last sentence.
  9. Lexx has told us to stop. Can I have permission to reply without being bullied by the mods?
  10. I don't necessarily agree with that, if you vote you're buying into the system. What if you just flat out don't agree with the system as it stands? Your option at that point is to opt out and if people really wanted things to change they would indeed stop voting. Unfortunately, that only really works if there is a minimum turnout imposed on the referendum... if there is no minimum voting turnout, then the side with the most votes obviously wins... and your lack of vote changes nothing. What if no one voted? It would never happen I know but it's an interesting thing to think about.
  11. I don't necessarily agree with that, if you vote you're buying into the system. What if you just flat out don't agree with the system as it stands? Your option at that point is to opt out and if people really wanted things to change they would indeed stop voting. Every time a politician opens his mouth it's full of false promises or excuses all because it serves them and the things they believe in. I don't blame people for not voting, it'd be like choosing between an 8/9 or 10" Dildo to get rammed dry in to the dark zone. It doesn't really matter what you choose it'll be unpleasant all the same. Now the protestors and their motivations, I agree that some will just be along for the ride but for others it'll be their way of fighting for their beliefs and to take it away from them by calling them lazy and entitled is not exactly fair.
  12. The thing is, the ones that are protesting are the ones that will have either voted or are politically motivated by some other means. Just because they don't believe in the system doesn't mean they shouldn't have a voice. Your typical 18 year old sitting around scratching his balls playing CoD during the vote is not suddenly going to put on some pants and grab a sign on his way to Number 10.
  13. So now you're just getting personal because you've been called out? Or is it because you're an admin you get free reign to say what you like with no reprisal? How impressive.
  14. You must have missed my (oooops)? The bait was there and you took it. Now if only I knew a famous fisher I would tell him to get out of my way as I'm the master angler now. Anyway, it didn't exactly seem like you had omitted a noun. You just flat out called a group of individuals something and pretended that the facts backed up your comment. A lot of the people I know don't vote because they don't believe the system is truly a democracy, maybe they've been listening to Russell Brand a bit too much or maybe they think that they're going to get shafted no matter what so why waste their time voting? Imagine if the whole country got behind this and voted by not voting. Would things change for the better? Who knows but anything is better than getting fed lie after lie to enable someone else to fulfill their own personal goal. I'd rather be run by Skynet.
  15. I don't find it offensive, in fact for total clarity I'm lazy and entitled (sadly not in the young demographic anymore). I'm sure you would challenge him if he made the exact same comment about Romanian people.
  16. No it doesn't, where is your evidence? What is your evidence? A Graph? That proves what? People didn't vote? Why didn't they vote? You've come to the conclusion it's because they're lazy and entitled? How did you come to that conclusion? Seems to me like you've just made a bunch of stuff up based on your own opinion. There are no facts.
  17. So what has this: Got to do with this: You've made two separate comments. Your first comment is unfounded and based on your preconceptions of a generation (prejudice) it also includes a broad statement suggesting that 'the youth of today' are (I'm paraphrasing here) lazy and entitled (stereotyping). I know people on this thread are probably going to get all British about this and tell me to give it a rest (ooooops) but I'm not sure why it's acceptable to make comments like that.
  18. Yeah usually you but you have to be a good boy these days.
  19. Produce a well written advert describing why the car is worth more than a standard one and you will easily sell it. I never get why people say mods don't add value, they do to the right people and only the right person is going to buy your car as it's heavily modified. Joe public looking for a 350z isn't going to go within 100 meters of yours having already written it off based on the modifications. They'll think it's been abused. The base car with the mileage/history is easily worth £7/7.5k and with all the custom work done (those wheels are NOT cheap) I would add another £3k/4k on top at least.
  20. What exactly is there to facepalm about? You can't be prejudice and stereotypical about an ethnicity but you can about a generation? k
  21. If you replaced the word 'youth' with 'black people' would your comment be acceptable? I doubt it.
  22. 46.7% get on my level. Edit: and 3 warning points. Mod love and public admiration, what more can you ask for.
  23. It's got to be an FI FD2 if I had money on it.
  24. You'd struggle as the Tomei exhaust will be made to follow a certain path under the car which I can't imagine will fit if you tried to put it on the other side.
