  1. A GT5/Forza time attack thread would be fun, assuming Forza has a 350, Using a stock Zed with sports tyres.
  2. Poor guy got robbed then. This is why you need to do your research before buying. If he'd have spent one day on this forum he'd have known that without FI or a different engine, 400bhp isn't possible. The previous owner much of had some balls on him though, to advertise a N/A import for ridiculous money with ridiculous HP claims. Poor guy just lost about £7k when buying and is about to lose another few grand on selling
  3. I have a question about and the ring times having never been there. As far as I am aware, you don't start at the start/finish line, you begin on the straight, so are these times from where you enter the track to where you have to pull off, or can you do 2 laps without stopping and start your timers at the real start/finish line?

  5. I like that Celica spoiler, but I prefer the Nismo with its large footprint. Good option for some not wanting to cough up twice as much on a replica though.
  6. The offset in price is paid back in improved MPG, to me that's the main reason for using Super until its proven that using 95 can damage the engine.

  8. What are you guys on about? Clearly the Nismo gear knob, oil and rad caps, modified OEM aerial and snazzy rear strut brace sticker plaque thing add ATLEAST 150bhp. He's being quite modest witht he HP claims I recon

  15. I don't particularly need one, or want another one, but for £7 it's tempting to save it from the bin. It's in better condition than the one I just replaced too, hmmm. Tempting
  16. Is there a reasonably cheap way of finding out if there is any damage to the pistons other than stripping the block down, via the ECU for example?
  17. Without seeing the car in the flesh, it's impossible for us to diagnose, but it does look like the bonnet is sitting a little high on the near side. Check the bonnet hinge on that side, there may be a little play in it and could be adjusted easily. It's possible that the bonnet has been replaced at some point under corrosion warranty and just wasn't fitted correctly, or not fitted correctly in the first place. I believe you can check with Nissan with the registration number or chassis number and they can confirm if there has been warranty work done. Of course it is completely possible that there is something dodgy going on, but I for one am not so quick to jump to conclusions when there are other options.
  18. To be fair the the seller, he's being honest. Any seller could easily say it's always been run on Super when in fact it's never seen the stuff. I'd say the car is probably fine and hasn't been driven hard except maybe the odd couple of hundred meter dash on a straight, like most of these cars. Unless of course it's done to the balls for the track, in which case, you may have something to worry about.
  19. What's the gap on the other side of the lights like? It's possible that a previous owner or garage had the lamp out to change bulbs or a ballast because they aren't easy to line up perfectly again when refitting. My drivers side isn't as tight to the outside edge as the passengers side due to this and me giving up trying to make it perfect.

    It may not be the 2nd ballast that's went, check the brown connector on the ballast for corrosion as that's the first point of call for any moisture in the lamp. Another headlamp won't be cheap, even from breakers or a trader on here, so best bet is to try open and reseal it after drying.
