I though it might be worth me mentioning this in case anyone has experienced similar. Last week, a good friend of mine who has been using one of these e-cigarette things, went to the doctors as he was having panic attacks and a pulsing sensation in his head. Turns out he had very high blood pressure and his doctor says its almost certainly because he's been using one of these. Apparently the liquid he's been using recently was a lot stronger than he'd had previously and he didn't realise.

Just reading through this thread, why did you put the rad weld in? Did you have a leak or something? Did the over heating just happen overnight? If it was the head gasket causing the water system to overheat then I'd expect some water to be getting into the cylinders and you'd be seeing huge clouds of white out of the exhaust. My money is on an airlock. I've never refilled a z but I remember doing my old v6 Alfa and having to fill the system slowly, whilst vigorously squeezing the rubber rad pipes to force through any air.

Mine is the same in this cold weather, I just keep a microfiber cloth in the car to wipe this up, and then the windscreen button on plus full fan clears the mist in a minute or so.

I'd have a look at scan computers, scan.co.uk They do offers on fully built systems, problem I find with building your own system, especially if time has moved on a bit since your last build, is knowing/ getting up to speed on what goes with what. These guys will build a system for you with complementing components, they're definitely worth a look.

Yeah seen this before. Funnily enough I was thinking of this site whilst reading one of the other threads on here, the one about 'find a car on eBay to make us laugh' Some of the Barry boy members leaflet cars that they find that meets their distaste, baiting them onto their forum where they can all take the p1ss out of them. There's one thread on there where they where slating a car, and the owner came on the forum to have a go back at them. This went on for months and came to a head when, at a car meet, the guy on the Barry boys forum saying all the snide things about the other guys pride and joy got battered, there's a video on there of it happening iirc. This made me think that whilst we may scoff at some peoples attempts at customising their cars (badly), these guys are still enthusiasts and it's their pride and joy at the end of the day, each to their own and all that.

Could the common factor in these failures be the fuel? I've read that recently ethonal is being added in some fuels now and causing problems, in particular diesels, with blocked filters etc.

2 studs and slide up off the 3rd stud iirc, this one will prob break if you just pull on it in this weather, like mine did.

I think it's the E class mercs which are the worst to be behind with there terra watt led brake lights and I guess most are autos so they hold them with the foot brake. No merc driver uses their handbrake as it's on a pedal so not convenient to be applying in traffic.

I think this clock is pretty pointless given precise satnav clock, maybe something more useful could go here. Would be nice to have a second multi function readout here, similare to the one in the main cluster, so you could choose outside temp, mpg etc...

One of the sales guys at my local dealership assured me he'd heard from someone within nissan at an event last year, that the next Z would be all electric. Yeah right who believes hearsay? Who knows what we'll get, did anyone see the merc sls amg on top gear? Maybe worth checking your abs connections at each wheel after doing all the work on the springs etc.
