  1. Do you mean this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-350Z-370Z-Boot-Liner-Cargo-Tray-Mat-Heavy-Duty-Leather-Type-AUST-STOCK-/200914653623 Looks pretty smart... might be interested if the price is right!
  2. Looking at replacing my coolant hoses, but can't seem to find anywhere that has the correct inner diameter of the 4 hoses (DE Revup). Mishimoto has these as: 33mm 33mm 16mm 8mm You only seem to be able to get 32mm or 35mm at most of the places I'm looking? Would the 32mm be OK? Also, does anyone know the lengths of each hose, so I don't order too much / too little?
  3. Both are good oils. I used Millers on my last service as I've heard good things about it. I guess it depends how much more expensive one is over the other? Both would be perfectly acceptable though.
  4. Anyone know a good place to get this done in Leeds / Yorkshire?
  5. In fairness, I'd take Mark's advice over mine... his evidence stands up much better than mine!
  6. I didn't think you were supposed to bump start the Zed due to the VLSD?
  7. You should be fine spraying water into the engine bay as long as you're careful. Disconnect the battery and cover your intake and any electrical connections with cling film. Then spray the degreaser, leave to do it's thing then agitate. Rinse of carefully with a hose (Low pressure only), then leave to dry for a bit before taking the cling film off and reconnecting the battery. Start the car and let it get up to temperature (Helping with the drying), then spray on some engine dressing. As long as you're careful you can't do any damage... remember the engine bay isn't totally sealed from the elements! Watch some vids on Youtube showing the proper technique. If in doubt do it on a really hot day and wait until everything has dried before reconnecting the battery. Here's quite a good one, but the guy has the most boring voice in history!
  8. Most people didn't seem to bother last year. Only about 10 bothered cleaning. To be fair the cars didn't get that dirty as it was dry... only a bit of brake dust, but that just jet washed off pretty easily.
  9. I'm so glad these have gone!
  10. So, new items fitted: Carbon Brake and Battery Covers, Painted Plenum and Throttle Body, Takeda Intake, Tarmac Polished Strut, Rare JDM Engine Cover, Lots of Bolts. Spot the mistake... I wonder why I had an erratic idle... Getting there, but still needs a bloody good clean! Planned before Wales: Take pictures of Front Lip and Bulge Bonnet Paint Cam Chain Covers More Bling Bolts Coolant Hoses Thanks for looking
  11. With a choice of 2 browns, the one with a bit less brown was clearly going to get the votes!
  12. Those look like lovely manicured hands too! I take it from those someone else will be installing it for you?
  13. We have a few horses which come up and down our street and whilst I totally agree that dog mess is far worse than horse, I have to agree with Stuarty. If I was a keen gardener, then it would be brilliant, but it usually ends up being run over and spread down the road which isn't particularly pleasant. I'm not sure there is a simple solution though, short of someone following them with a giant poop-a-scoop! It could be worse though, it could be a circus exercising their elephants!
  14. Detailing may be a bit far, but I'll probably give mine a quick rinse and they use some Autoglym express wax to finish and help dry.
  15. Who cares what other people think. If you like it, then get it. £499 is pretty reasonable too (As far a plates go).
  16. Was a little worried at first Chris, then thought... closing down sale / stock clearance!!!
  17. Thanks all, everything sorted! Muppet here had trapped the rubber thing near the oil filler cap in the plenum... I clearly should never be let near anything mechanical! Anyway, back idling smoothly at 750rpm now!
  18. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/80231-powder-coating-plenum-and-throttle-body-now-painted/
  19. I declared around 40 modifications on my insurance report, these range from a remap to a stubby... Just because "you" don't think it makes a difference, doesn't mean "you" shouldn't declare it. I know insurance companies are out to make money, but why give them a perfectly justifiable excuse to invalidate your insurance and not pay out?
  20. So, my mechanical skills are still very much in their infancy, but never-the-less, I had a go at installing a new throttle body over the weekend. Everything went on OK, but I now have a very erratic idle ranging from 600-3000 rpm or stall. I've not done any resets yet as I wanted to make sure the exact one required. Could someone please confirm which procedures I need to complete? Is it the full list: ECU reset Accelerator Pedal Release Position Learn Throttle Valve Closed Position Learn Idle Air Volume Learn Anything else I should do / check? This is the first time I've tried the TB after buying it from a member on here, so hopefully a reset will do the trick and it isn't a duff!
  21. Yeah, but the alternative would have been forever wondering what might have been? Better to regret something you have done than something you haven't... (Unless it lead to death / maiming). Welcome back Smudge, your Rare JDM Engine Cover still has pride of place in my bay!
  22. I hope not Ian, but some things are even more important than Wales! That said, I can't wait!
  23. Ha ha, I know exactly where you are as my friend lives on your road! Never seen you out and about though! I always have a nosey to see if you've done anything new and always wondered if you were on here.
  24. Where are you from mate? Also is there any Yorkshire meets I often go to civinfo meets & squires cafe in sherburn for jap night Calverley just outside Leeds. There's currently no Yorkshire events organiser, so no regular meets. I can never make the Jap meet as I play football on Tuesdays.
