  1. When my Admiral renewal came up, I received an email in my junk email folder, no letter or phone calls. The email would have been very easy to miss. Also from memory, Admiral will take the money from the banck account/bank card that they hold on file around 14 - 21 days after the policy starts. You need to get in touch with them asap, cancel the policy and then get quotes from them again and sky, they are highly unlikely to lower your renewal price now until you cancel the current policy.
  2. I'm soooo tempted, is there any negative to having these fitted? e.g. increased noise, poorer fuel economy etc.

    Brake pedal feel

Yeah, I thought about fluid but as you say, it's Motul so should be good. I'm hoping to get booked in with Abbey soon so I will see what they think and then change the fluid again if they think it will improve the pedal feel. At least, after Wales, I now know that the ferodos and DBA discs work fantasticaly, just takes a bit to get them up to a good working temperature.

    Brake pedal feel

That could be pad knock if it mainly happens after cornering. The pedal feel I have, remains consistant except with brake temperatures.

    Brake pedal feel

yeah but that's the thing, when they were hot and the pedal was firm, the brakes were very progressive and predictable but when they are cold they feel very vague and squidgy.
  6. I emailed Samsung technical support, they said it should work fine on the S4 and instructed me to do a factory reset, I have done this and the problem remains so now I'm guessing it is a jelly bean issue.
  7. Glad you got the wheel sorted Rothers.
  8. Some traders on the Saturday afternoon sounds a good idea to me, along with a couple of stops at picturesque locations. The Moreton is spot on and I couldn't fault them as the price was good, rooms were good considering price and the pub was decent for food and drinks. The Sunday lunch was a bit stingy but still not bad for the use of the car park etc as well. A picture board at the entrance to the hotel that has a photo of everyone and their car along with their name would be helpful for knowing who people are. Overall I think it was a great and well oragnised weekend and all the people were very accomodating.
  9. Do we get the special gift this month when using the forum code or is that only if you use the 'mayshop' code?
  10. Also Bennett (GT4Zed) is selling some OEM fans in the for sale section at the moment for £75 and I think Cougar store charge around £50 p/h for labour so you could get the whole job done for around £175 which is cheaper than the Nissan diagnostics alone.
  11. Go to Cougar Store in Leicester, they're decent and certainly don't rip you off. I'm based in Nottingham and they are the best I have found locally.
  12. What's involved with being on the stand? Do I need to arrive and leave at certain times? Let people view my car? Talk to people about the car?

    Brake pedal feel

Hi all, a quick question that I'm hoping someone can explain the answer to me about. I have DBA T3's, Ferodo DS2500 pads, HKS brake lnies and run Motul RBF 600 fluid. The fluid is about 8 months old and I have had the brakes bled 3 times (twice by a local garage and once more by a forum trader). My question is, can I improve the feel of my brake pedal? The reason I ask is because I have always found my brake pedal to be quite spongy since this brake set up was fitted. I was assured that it was fine and normal and to date I have lived with it. However when driving around Wales this weekend, as my brakes got up to temperature, they felt amazing. The pedal really firmed up well and the stopping power was immense. Now the stopping power I expect to imporve as the discs and pads heat up and that's fine but I expected the pedal firmness to remain the same but honestly it improved massively until I let the car cool down and then they are spongy again. So is there possibly anything wrong with my brakes that would cause a spongy pedal when cold and a solid pedal when hot? Also when I say spongy brakes, i don't mean to the floor or anything, just about 0.5 inch of spongyness that I can press and release. Oh and one last thing, does everyone else find that there is a bit of play in the brake pedal i.e you there's a little bit of movement bfore the brakes engage and even when your pressing the brakes you can sort of lift your foot slightly and fell a bit of play if you know what I mean.
  14. If anyone has any video or pics of my car, please send them to me
  15. It was a member of the publics, they had a chat with us let Bennet sit in it.
  16. No way near as good as Matt's video but here's my contribution. Once again, thanks everyone for a fantastic weekend and all the really nice comments on my car.
  17. When I mentioned it to my MOT tester he said he was glad I told him as otherwise it would brake his rollers.
  18. Don't use SAP, it's ridiculously expensive and too vast for what you need. EFACS is good but a little pricy. I would say SAGE looks like your best choice. Having said that as what you need is fairly simple you could do it with a couple of custom databases and then save them to a cloud and you can access them anywhere.
  19. Thanks for a great weekend everyone, it's very nice to put some faces to names. Amazed at how friendly everyone was and at how well organised the event was too. Fantastic drives that I wish I could do every weekend but roll on next year.
  20. I'm having exactly the same problem. Tried to connect my Samsung Galaxy S4 to my factory bluetooth hands free today and it connects and then disconnects after about 10 seconds although my phone even says it is paired with the car. Don't know how to fix it.
  21. It's so the UK appears to be more competitive than it is and so you don't think about how much tax you are paying most of the time. If they did it all as one tax reduction direct form your wages then it would be something like 53% instead of 20% (or 40% above the limit) and so the 20% keeps people more deluded. All in all you pay the same but is someone said they were taking half of your wages then a lot of poeple would seriously complain whereas by taxing at different stages it keeps a lot of poeple quiet as they don't sit down to work out the total tax they pay.
  22. In my old crappy car I was sat in it eating a sandwich when the female owner of the car next to me returns. She opens her car door, gets half way in with ease but then decides she wants to open her door even more and so she did which meant smacking her door in to my car door (not gently). Even though I'm sat in the drivers seat of my car she just carried on as if I wasn't there, she finished getting in her car, shut the door and started her engine. I was in a bad mood anyway but the cheek to not even say sorry. So I then leant over, opened my passenger door and smacked it as hard as i could in to her door (like I say, old crappy car so I didn't care about mine). Surfice to say, the woman just looked at me in shock and the she did that look of the penny dropping when she realised why I had done it, she then apologised.
