  1. If you get rid of the Nismo, give me a shout as I would be interested in purchasing it.
  2. Didn't even realise it was my 350th post, I'll have to find out how I get a sticker and display it with pride
  3. As a friendly warning/bit of advice to people who are going to Zed Fest. In the last year, there have been several average speed cameras put in along the A6097, they start from the Roundabout in Lowdham if you are travelling from the south to the show. Also there is often a mobile speed camera around Gunthorpe bridge but sometimes it is between the bridge and Lowdham roundabout. To put it simply, if you are travelling along the A46 to the show, once you turn off the A46 do not speed (assuming you are going along the A6097 and not through Nottingham city itself). If you are travelling from the North, there are a couple of roads with average speed cameras on but plenty of warnings and they stand out so you will see them far ahead. Don't want ot put anybody off but if I can save you from getting a ticket I can.
  4. If you're down there Andy then give me a shout, I only live 20 mins away so I can pop down when ever.
  5. Adrian, what did you think to this mount? Worth fitting? Any increase in noise or vibration? Any negatives at all? What are the benefits? Is the improved gear shift noticeable? Sorry for all the question but I want it but I'm reading so many mixed reviews about changing them. Some say it's great, some say they remove it 10 minutes later as the noise and vibration is unbearable.
  6. There is a bleed screw. If you stand in front of the car looking at it, It is in the back left corner of the engine bay, you can follow the coolant pipe from the top left of the radiator back to the bleed nipple. You will find it is just a black screw about 10 - 15 mm diameter, on top of a black rubber pipe, right near the firewall, to the left of the engine.
  7. We have this where I live. boils my blood. Tax money wasted apparently. Same in Nottingham, major road at 60mph with speed cameras as several cyclists have been killed on that stretch of road. A nice cycle lane at the side and the idiotic cyclists in their jerseys still ride on the road. It is interesting to note that all of the casual cyclists do use the cycle path correctly. Because the idiotic cyclists decide they are good enough to be on the road, I no longer move out the way for them when passing, I pass as close as I can to them and the just as I'm level, press the horn to make them jump. I did have one cyclist try and moan at me for it a few months ago, he started ranting and raving that he is a road user and I should be more considerate. So I did my window down and asked him why he was on the road? He said "because I'm on a bike and I'm fast" to which I said "you would be much faster and safer and faster on the empty cylcle path that your riding next to" to which he replied "maybe but then I have to wait for the cars when I have to cross the road further down" to which I just said "then you deserve to be ran over".
  8. I updated my phone to the latest firmware through Samsung Kies (think it was released at the end of June) and since then my galaxy S4 has worked fine over Bluetooth, no more dropping the connection.
  9. I'll pop down on the Sunday, maybe the Saturday for a bit too.
  10. Well I've got a Bluetooth OBD2 reader that will tell you the fault if you haven't already reset the ECU. I'm based in Carlton, so let me know if I can help
  11. Don't use different rear tyres to the front, it throws the cars handling off significantly. For the MPSS, they are a great tyre but don't last long. I have done 7,000 miles on mine and need a new set of rears already. No track days, traction control always on, I was surprised how short lived they were.
  12. Thanks for the quick replies guys. I've already got a media network set up that I'm happy with. Guess I'll stick it up on ebay as a complete system and see if I can get £250 for it, if not I will Ebay the parts and if it still doesn't go then I may give Gudzy a few bits and the rest to my nephew as a PC for uni. Seems such a shame as it still runs all the latest games with no problems and cost over £2000 when I bought it which was about 3 years ago.
  13. You guys got any advice on what to do with old PC's? I've got a self built rig but it's a few years old now and don't use it. It had decent specs at the time (First gen Athlon x64 quadcore cpu 3.0Ghz, 8 GB DDR II 1066Mhz, AMD 4870 (2 actually that can be put in cross fire but I just use one for the low noise), OCZ vertex SSD, OCZ 1000W PSU, Antec case, fan controllers etc) So far I'm just thinking of throwing it away but it seems such a waste. I can't see myself using it again as I've just purchased an Alienware M17X R4 which runs superb (I know it's overpriced and gimmicky but it does everything I need and got it at a good price).
  14. My brother has recently left the RAF and is now working in Saudi working as an Aeronautical engineer for BAE. He's on a 2 year contract to work out there and comes home for 3 weeks about every 3 months. He's earning around £40,000 tax free so not bad money at all. He was an Aeronautical engineer in the RAF though and so that gave him the skills and experience to get this job. My unlce retired from the Army and he struggled to find work for a while and then did a few jobs he didn't like (working in B&Q etc). Now he is a community warden which is a bit like a community support officer but he works for the council and not the police. He likes it as it is still a bit like the army in the way it is regimented but the pay is poor. My other uncle was in the Army and retired, he then worked as a safety officer at Sellafield nuclear power plant and then he was an agricultural minister of some sort and now he is a recruitment specialist. His salaries have always been eye wateringly high. I guess what I am trying to get at is that there is work and jobs out there with good pay that you may enjoy but it will take time to find them and keep trying different things, don't stick with the same job path for the rest of your career.
  15. Yeah I got that exact same head unti a few weeks ago. I purchased all of my adaptors and fascias from incartech. The wiring looms work perfect first time. But be warned about the fascia adaptor, when I first fitted the head unit it would catch on the adaptor when you tilted the screen so to get around this I had to shave off some of the inner platic lip on the fascia, then I also had to put a washer behind each of the 2 top screws on the cars fascia that holds the unit in place, this in essence, tilts the head unit forward slightly which allows it to clear the fascia surround. Since then it has been fine. If you are using Android anda galaxy S4 then the you will need the extra android cable kit (about £70) but the MHL adapto from the kit wont work so you will need to buy a genuine Samsung MHL 2.0 adaptor (£37) and then it all works although slowly and not very responsive. If you have nay other phone, you should be fine.
  16. Do the Nismo gauges look the same as OEM when turned on or different? If different, in what way?
  17. I've not managed to get a hold of mine, the post office and sorting office say they aren't holding anything for me. I will be meeting up at the services at about 6:30am so hopefully I can get my tickets at the same time as the others who haven't got theirs.
  18. How did you know it was at the post office? Did the postman tell you? Note through your door? I'm just concerned as if mine doesn't turn up then I don't know where it would be as I have 2 local post offices, 2 local sorting offices and never see the poastman as I'm at work when he comes round.
  19. Still waiting to receive mine too. When were they posted and what class of post was used? We're stuffed if they don't turn up by Saturday

    VIP BLING.

? is it just a bit of rope and some curtain tassels?
  21. Your right about taking the slats off for the facelift. Is there a bit on the Zunsport where it protrudes out slightly on the bottom of the grill in the middle? If not, I think you have the wrong zunsport grill version. The grill does need to be bent/curved a little when installing so that is matches the contours of the OEM bumber. The screws from the zunsport kit don't go into any holes, they are self tapping and so create their own holes, you just need to bend the grill a little so that you can get the screws to grip into the plastic and then keep screwing and they will tap themselves in.
  22. Just watched the whole video. I think fair play to the guy, he didn't like how he was being treated so he researched the law surrounding it and stood up to the bailiffs. The bailiffs were completely out of line, unprofessional, breaking the law and showed no sympathy to the situation. The Scouser told the bailiffs several times what they needed to do in order to reposses the house and so I think he was fairly reasonable and the bailiffs should have just listened and done it (got a contempt of court order) Main bits that annoyed me were the bailiffs attitude, the police not having a clue about what to do and the number of police officers for such a small non violent situation. One thing I was impressed with though was the higher up police man (sargent I think it said), as straight away he seemed to know what was right and wrong, listned to both sides, took the time to read all the papaer work and controlled the situation very well. My only diassapointment was that even after telling the bailiffs that they had no right, advising them against trespassing and then watching the bailiffs disregard him and commit an offence of trespass, he didn't arrest them and just told them to go. I do admit that the Scouser would have wound me up silly if I had been the bailiffs and I'm pretty sure that if the cameras had not been on then the situation would have been very different. It was also interesting to note that the guy who oversaw for the bank appeared to know the law, the bailiffs didn't and generally they don't.
