Sub par Sub Bass and Radioshack part number
jell36 replied to samsniss350z's topic in 350Z Modifications
where is the guide for putting the cardboard over the relay? I can't find it anywhere but I know I've seen it in the past. -
I fitted these bulbs today and just noticed that they are still turned on very slightly when they shouldn't be. So far I've found the bulbs to be great giving off a nice light but when they turn off, if you look at them, you can see that they are still turned on but are very dim. Should I be worried? Are yours the same?

About time for a final update, got my car back a couple of weeks ago. Below is a pic of the work being done And the hire car I had for nearly two weeks And finally my car back at home with all the work complete Overall the VW bodyshop did a good job on the spraying. Just a few little niggles like the bonnet alignment needs tweaking, the offside headlight needs a slight adjustment and somehow they got some primer on the radiator and polish in the undertray which I want to clean off but all in all not a bad job. Also I've had no issues with the insurance compnay or the car hire company.

Clutch pedal sticking to the floor - Slave cylinder changed
jell36 replied to jell36's topic in 350Z Technical
Dam that's not good. Is there any way for me to check it is the clutch master cylinder? How long of a job do you think it is to change it Alex? And can you PM me a price for one please including delivery and I guess clutch/brake fluid (Motul Dot 4 I think) along with anything else that may be needed. Thanks -
Hi All, I think I have an issue with my clutch but I will tell you the full story. When I was purchasing my Z a year ago I took it for a test drive and on the test drive the clutch pedal got stuck half way up it's travel when pulling off at a set of lights, I was pulling off with quite high rpm (around 2500) as I wanted to check the bite of the clutch and the pedal literally would not return of it's own accord until I dropped the revs right down to below 1200 rpm. The dealership looked at it and said it's fine and normal but I read on here about sticking clutch pedals and so knew how to fix it and so was still happy to buy the car. A couple of weeks later I purchased a new slave cylinder form Alex and a local garage fitted it for me along with a stainless steel braided clutch line. A couple of months after that I got Cougar store to bleed the clutch for me as I thought there was some air in the line still (pedal felt a little spongy) So becaue I had changed the slave cylinder, clutch fluid and clutch fluid hose I thought all was OK but then today the same thing happened. I tried to pull off quickly and so quite high rpm (2200) and the clutch pedalstoppedhalf way on it's return and the clutch wasn't engaged and so I didn't move. It wasn't until I completely let go of the throttle and left it for a few seconds that the clutch pedal returned to it's fully engaged normal position. I guess the first question is, is this normal for a Z? nd the second is, if not, what canI do to fix it? Could it be a clutch issue i.e. the pressure plate hasn't got enough force/worn out. I don't know if/when the clutch was changed.

4 days is plenty. I satyed in the millenium hotel in times square. It was a decent hotel and a good price but any extras like internet access, food, drinks, parking etc were expensive, but as you are literally in times square with a view right out your hotel room window of all the screens. I was there for just 24 hours and I got to see all the sights, it's a good visit and I recommend the bus tours as they take you to all the tourist destinations in a day and you get on and off the bus at each tourist attraction so you choose how long and what you do at the attraction.

So is it a 42mm or 31mm Festoon buld that is required for the interior dome light?

Yes, Nottingham

I had to put a £500 deposit down when I bought mine from Nissan as I wanted them to do some rectificaiton work before I would accept it. I asked if the deposit was refundable and they said yes as if I changed my mind after the work had been done then they could sell the car for more which would cover the repair costs. I then asked them what was the point of the deposit then and they said it was just a way of making sure I was being serious about buying it. Even when I went to pick the car up I had the offer of declining it / changing my mind and receiving the full deposit back.

He only used one bucket when washing, not the two bucket method

+1 for the ZZ3's, they were on my car when I bought it and they are a great tyre and good price. Now have the MPSS and tbh in my opinion the MPSS do not have much more grip only a little and they are noisier.

Especially when is brand spanking new and you get a free tank of fuel! Yep, I love not having to care about the tires when they spin. Nearly makes me cry in my Z as I think about the cost of replacing the pilot supersports

I have to admit I haven't been able to fault Manor Car Hire in any way. They haven't rushed me, they've answered all of my questions, they've been prompt, given me a nice car, gave me full control over the rtepairs and who does them. Literally cannot think of one fault with them. I didn't think of asking them for anything better than the Porsche, they just offered it so I thought it was more than fair and accepted, I was expecting a Micra

Another update, dropped my car off at VW on Wednesday, the guy spraying it is an old friend of mine so I trust he will do a good job. My hire car arrived, a nice new Porsche Boxster S and I didn't have to sign any credit agreement or anything so I've been enjoying the temporary car every evening after work.

Mine doesn't appear to have used a drop of oil, it's covered 4,000 miles since the last oil change and the oil level is still right at the top of the max oil mark on the dipstick which is where I filled it to then the oil was changed.

although in Stuarty's defence he said it was a different guy who did the guttering.

At the end of the day it is similar to selling your car, people pay what they are prepared to pay. Stuarty, you were prepared to pay £300 for the floor to be layed and so you paid it, I on the other hand wouldn't not have been prepared to pay that amount. Same with cars, you might be prepared to pay £10,000 for a prestine low mileage 313 HR 350Z, I might only be prepared to pay about £8,000. At the same time, your new 350z's engine may blow up 10 miles down the road or you may later find out it's been in a bad accidnet and repaired which would mean you paid more for the car then is seems it was worth once you realised this.
