  1. Yes, D2R for your car, D2S for a 2006 with Bi-Xeon
  2. Are you sure it wont affect my insurance premium even though it's a no fault claim? From reading on google it looks as though some insurance companies do increase premiums for non fault claims. Also I don't want to loose my 4 years no claims bonus but then I guess it's a claim on her insurance and not mine. definately my renewal this week was £312, a bit of meerkat hunting and down to £180 (yes - for a 1yr old 370z) - so yep, it certainly hasn't affected me and jesus christ that is cheap insurance
  3. Thankfully the damage looks no way near as bad as that Photo looks worse than it actually was due to sun reflection! Basically if wing has been hit, check out the big metal bar that runs across the front that its attached to. If the bracket has been snapped, wing won't sit properly unless replaced. Is there a way to see the bar without moving the wing? Can I see it from the engine bay? Also my dad is concerned if she has hit the wheel, is that something to be worried about? She would have only been going at about 3mph.

  5. Ha ha it certainly is, I'll try and get in touch with him on Monday and see if he will get me a quote.

  7. It certainly was good of her, I have thanked her for her honesty and because of that and just generally she is a nice woman I'm hoping it wont cost her too much.
  8. Sounds good to me, if you could PM the details that would be great, the more options I have the better and if they come recommended then that's a bonus. A friend has given me the details for Gary Knight who is supposed to be a good body sho place in Colwick.
  9. I pressume she is fully insured but yeah depending on the cost she will either pay me direct or claim through her insurance. To be honest I'm not pi**ed off, these things happen and that's what insurance is for. She's a nice old lady in her late 50's who has lived opposite me for about 4 years, she was quite shook up about it and I feel for her so don't want it to cost her a fortune if I can help it.
  10. I know I'm asking the impossible but hopefully some of you might be able to give me an idea of cost. My neighbour has just reversed her micra into my Z. I was in the garden having a cigarette and heard a loud crack and then another loud crack a few seconds later, went in the house and looked out the window and saw my neighbour looking at my car. She then knocked on the door and said she was really sorry but she had just reversed and hit my car. So I had a look for any damage with her. It was dark when it happened and my car was covered in water droplets from the frost that is coming so I could see a few lines on the drivers side front wing and bumper where the water had been cleared away. The damage done is that the flat vertical part of my drivers side front wing has been pulled out a fair bit (so as you look at the front of the car you can see the wing bulge outwards) along with the paint being splintered but only about the size of a thumb nail. Also the front bumper and wing don't line up now (they are not flush with eachother and the gap is uneven). My neighbour has said it was her and said she would like to avoid insurance if it doesn't cost too much and so has left me to find out the extent of the damage and to let her know the repair cost so she can decide whether to use insurance or not. Also I don't want my insurance going up in price at all so I would prefer to keep away form using insurance companies. I have taken it for a quick 2 minute drive around the block and it seems to drive fine. What do you think it will cost to repair? (obviously only talking ball park numbers) Does anyone have any recommended body shops in Nottingham? Should I inform the police or my insurance company of what has happened anyway? I will take some photos of the damage tomorrow when it's daylight.
  11. Looks good and the seller comes across as genuine. One thing I did notice though was that only the seats are Alezan or what ever the orange colour is called and from memory there should be more bits in this colour unless the seats have been changed
  12. Have you got a link to the page where Abbey says the correct way of doing it? I had mine done by ETS a while back when I got MPSS fitted and the handling and grip has never felt as good as before I went to them.
  13. The skirts do look nice and in the right colour too but it looks like they replace the originals and I have no where to store them so unfortunatley I will pass on them, GLWTS though.
  14. Any photos with the skirts on the car?
  15. I think the app is called FuelLog - Car Management, it's on the Google play app store on Android phones.

    ECU reset

Thanks, I've got no CEL issues with my Z I was just curious if the two different methods produced different results, I know the battery has to be disconnected for a while but I haven't found anything that says how long. My car had a nice smooth idle until I cleaned the throttle body, since then I've done the full pedal dance several times over several months but the engine never feels as smooth as it did before the throttle body clean at idle so I wondered if a battery disconnect ECU reset might help. (the slightly rough idle is the usual one where the revs appear to be slightly too low for the car which is 650rpm according to my OBDII reader at the moment where as before the throttle body clean they looked spot on at 750rpm, aircon off)
  17. Quick question for you all, I know you can reset the ECU by the pedal dance along with the idle air volume learning etc and I know you can do it by disconnecting the battery. The question I have is do they both do the same thing and produce the same results? The reason I ask is because if you do the idle air volume learning then you have to warm your engine to operating temperature just before you do it, if you disconnect the battery then most likely the engine will be cold and so I would expect a different result. Also how long do you have to disconnect the battery for?
  18. Well as the weather was reasonale today I managed to fit my new Zunsport grill, give her a quick clean and a fresh wax with dodo juice supernatural hybrid ready for the winter. What do you guys think? Also I have Michelin Pilot Super Sports fitted all round and I've noticed over the last week that the grip from them is shockingly poor in the cold, have others found this? I know they are summer tyres and don't perform well below 7 degrees but I was quite shocked at how much and how quick the grip dissapeared.
  19. A little late but sponsorship given and well done for rising to the challenge.
  20. Fair enough, just remember the saying "it will happen when you least expect it" and "a watched kettle never boils"
  21. Give the cougars a chance, I'm 26 and have been with a few cougars, they are generaly more down to earth, relaxed and easy going along with a lot of 'experience'
  22. Hello All, I've been on here since last Feb and thought it was about time I put some pics up. A few little bits have changed since the pics were taken, namely clear front reflectors and I'm currently waiting on a Zunsport chrome grill, along with this the car has been detailed and machine polished but these are the best pics I have so far. Enjoying the forum and it's great meeting people from here like Ken, Rothers and Mitz.
  23. Just go 50/50 with them as most have said. To be honest their parents should not be involved and I would just ignore them as they have nothing to do with you. In the future don't let tennants make any irreversible changes themselves as they will usually try to do it on the cheap which means poor work. I lived in rented properties for 6 years (during and after uni) moving though 6 different homes and I was never allowed to redecorate like this due to me not wanting to pay a professional and the landlord not trusting a quality job would be done. Also from the sound of what you are saying it is likely the parents will moan about having to pay 50% but if they don't lie it then tell them to move out, there are lots of poeple struggling to find rented accomodation at the moment.
