    Nismo exhaust

There's just something about the nismo sound that I love, I know it's expensive hence why a second hand one would be ideal. Also as a design engineer myself, having a system that has been designed specifically for the car by people who have all the cars details (tolerances, design intents etc) just sits more comfortably with me. Admittedly you can get better systems for less money but then you get issues with drone and fitment.

Highly unlikely I know but anyone wanting to get rid of their nismo exhaust?

  4. I say well done Dave and good job. As a 26 year old myself I can say a lot of people in my generation don't care about any authority figure as there is no punishment. There seems to be a divide between people like me who work hard and are a civilised member of the public and then literally about 50% who don't care about working or the authorities. For the second 50% getting arrested adds some entertainment to their life and they know for a fact that the likelyhood of anything happening is slim and even if they do get sent to prison for something then it just means they get to meet their friends and make more contacts and find out how to conduct more crime. I had an incident a few years ago when I completely flipped at someone who was being a sh**, I still see him around and he has said to me several times that it was the best thing that happened to him because it got hime to sort his life out. A lot of the time these days younger people know that others wont do anything and so they push and push and it's only when someone snaps that they learn the consequences of their actions. By no means am I saying that we should take the law into our own hands (honestly I don't have a solution as the only people who could resolve it is the governement and lets face it that will never happen) but I do think that little sh**s need to be put in their place now and again, it's just unfortunate that if you were the one to do it you are likely to get in trouble and a normal memeber of the public has a lot to loose.

    Engine oil

I'll stick with the same oil, I was just confused between the two brands and Fuchs recommendation.

    Engine oil

Hi all, I know this has been covered a lot but I am looking to change my oil again. I put Fuchs Titan race pro s 5W-30 in 6 months (4000 miles) ago. I am looking to put fresh oil in again as it has turned quite black and I like a clean engine. What is the difference between Fuchs Titan race pro S and Silkolene pro S? Also if I go on Fuch's website it recommends the Fuchs titan GTI pro. Which should I go for?
  7. Welcome, I don't know of anywhere in the North East but if you PM ZMANALEX I'm sure he will be able to help you out with the parts you need. The link below takes you to his subforum in which you will find lots of parts he sells which may interest you. viewforum.php?f=157

    spacers

have you got a link to them?
  9. The engine had been warmed up for 30 mins before turning it off and unplugging the MAF, I have tried looking for vacuum leaks but can't find any and no plenum spacer installed.
  10. many thanks for your reply, the video was with the engine having been warmed up and yes the revs match what the needle is doing. If you could check what it is like on your car that would be greatly appreciated (it will light the CEL though so you will need to be able to clear fault codes afterwards). Do you know if there is anyway to check the idle control valve or where it is located?
  11. Hi guys, my car has a rough idle when the aircon is turned off. I know everyone says it is nothing to worry about but I find it annoying and it is getting more rough as time goes on. It is as if the engine kicks every now and again. So today I thought I would unplug the MAF to see if the engine runs smooth without it and that will then help me to diagnose the rough idle as a bad maf. So I unplugged it and fired up the engine, as expected the CEL light came on but I wasn't expecting the revs to jump around so much, I took a video of the rev needle so you can all see it below, you will see that every now and again the revs jump and drop, is this supposed to happen when you unplug the MAF? P.S. In the video I don't touch the accelerator pedal at all. It normally idles at 650rpm with the MAF plugged in.
  12. ?!?!?!?! does this mean there is no way you can bleed it on your own? My brake pedal works fine but is a little spongy and the brakes are weak. How much do you guys charge to bleed the system and how long does it take?
  13. Brilliant, many thanks. I had read that there was a hiss that was normal on the US forums but wasn't sure if this was it. Thanks for clarifying.
  14. Yeah I agree it's not something to worry about, it just gets annoying when stopped at the lights and everything sounds so loud but not in a good way. Anyway, thanks for your help
  15. That thread just says oil, loose spark plug or fuel dampener. I will check the spark plugs but I'm not convinced by the other 2
  16. Yeah it had an oil change about 2 months/1000 miles ago. I'm using 5w30 Fuchs race titan pro
  17. I have a hiss coming from the drivers side front of the eninge, you can briefly hear it in the video below at around 11 seconds in, the sound is coming from the area that the camera moves around, is it normal?
  18. Does the engine sound ok to you guys? seems a bit loud and tappety to me
  19. I know you say they are not OEM nissas, what are they? are they better? what made you get them instead of Nissan ones?
  20. Many thanks mate , let me know what it costs and I'll send you some funds by paypal.
  21. That would be great if you didn't mind doing it, I'm happy to cover the cost and a little bit more. The parts is a M4 x 11 (0-2mm) Rawlnut and if you could get the screws for them at the same time that would be great, the screws are M4 x 25mm long and 2 x M5 washers.
  22. the old "there in a safe place, so safe that even I don't know where they are" no worries
  23. Think that's what I will have to do, just hopethey have them in stock.
  24. ??? Which link are you using? The toolfast link says it is for a box of 50. It's not the srcew knob that I'm after, it's the rawlnuts.
