  1. well I might be able to arrange something
  2. yeah yours will be a facelift one Hannah, you could always take it off your car for me and then you would have a knob in your hands
  3. Has anyone got a original facelift gearknow lying around?
  4. yep your right, put a screwdriver under it today and it popped straight out, tightened up the handbrake cable, can't believe how much of a difference it has made, the car holds on pretty much any hill now, before you could push it on a flat with the handbrake on
  5. are you sure? I was pulling on it and it wasn't coming out easily, didn't want to pull to hard for fear of braking it
  6. Does anyone know how you remove the little felt lined coin holder next to the cup holder on the face lift models? I want to get under it so I can adjust my handbrake.
  7. cheers everyone, I've got no idea where it went. I was hoping not to have to size the other one as it's a nightmare to get out without the correct torx bit but guess I'll have to try it again.
  8. A blue Z is a must, get yourself along to a meet and then you can date many guys at the same time, a bit like speed dating but Z dating
  9. It really has truned into a dating site shame i'm too young and too far away
  10. Cleaned my MAF sensor today but stupidly I lost one of the two bolts that hold it in, does anybody know what size they are and where I could get one from? Also do you think I will be ok driving the car with the MAF sensor only held in by one screw?
  11. this morning, resending it now.
  12. yeah I've PM'd CS as I wasnt sure if he was a supplier or a garage. I'm waiting to hear back from him. Cheers for the help both of you.
  13. Does anyone know of a decent garage in or around Nottingham that knows there way around a Z? I got my brakes and clutch lines done yesterday but it looks like the garage messed up the bleeding.
  14. Well I've just had a look on auto trader, at first I was about how much the prices had dropped but then as I got half way though the listings the prices seemed to become more reasonable. Looks to me like there's a lot for sale at the moment and alot of people trying to get rid of them quickly and so dropping their prices a lot. It was only in feb that I got mine and it took me 3 months of searching to find the right one as there were so few 06 Azure's that were coming up for sale for less than 9k. I think if you want a quick sale then you will be looking at around £7000 if you can hold out a while then I would still push for £9000 so long as it has been serviced every 12 months and is in mint condition.
  15. When I was looking a few months ago most 56 plate Z's with around 40k on the clock were going for about £10,000 from a garage (not Nissan) so private your probably looking at around a £1000 less than that. The extra low mileage doesn't seem to increase value much at all from what I've seen.

    Windscreen

I'm shocked by the prices everyone is getting, National windscreens quoted my £150 for a replacement windscreen only 3 weeks ago or £75 if done through insurance as excess
  17. Yeah and Calvo is only 10 minute drive too. £40 is bloody cheap might be worth driving over there for that price. The guy does the full works, wash - claybar- machine polish - wax or he will do diamond brite or swissvax and he does the inside. So is gunthorpe going to go ahead?
  18. I'm based in Carlton, I looked at that mansfield valeting company and they seemed good but preffered the idea of the guy coming to me and doing it whilst I was at work. Gunthorpe would be a good meet, it's nice down there when the suns out and some good driving roads around although the car park does get pretty full on sunny days. I was hoping to go to the calvo meet 2 days ago but ended up having to work late.
  19. I was looking for a detail, was going to use long eaton valeting, his prices are good, he comes to you and he seems to know what he's doing but admittedly i've not tried him yet. Will be good to see you at a meet sometime especially as I'm thinking of gettng the nismo exhaust
  20. "Ok so I got offered 3.4k Tops time and time again against 04/03 350z's with 60k on the clock." Seems a tiny bit low to me but not by much, remember the OP's is a year or two newer than that which does make quite a difference to the value. When I was looking to buy it was generally around £11-13K for an MY07 onwards, £9-11K for an MY06 and then down to £4K for an MY03. So if you traded an 03 in for £3.4K the dealer would probaly only be able to sell it for around £4k to £5K at a push and so when you think about it that's only a profit of between £600-£1600 bearing in mind they will probably have to pay for a service and MOT and anything else that is wrong with it (tyres, brakes, exhaust, suspension parts - all of which cost quite abit on the Z even for a dealer)
  21. I got my MY06 Z with 82K on the clock a few months ago and I know the dealer paid £6800 for it (obviously I paid more). I have noticed quite a few people on the forum putting the price of the Z down, I would have thought you would be looking at around £5.5 - 6K for yours if you shop around and trade it in at the right garages as I have had an offer from a garage for mine for the same amount I paid for it (£8500)
  22. any solutions to this issue found? I'm finding the same thing with my MY06
  23. is there a difference between the UK and JDM backboxes? I ask as I know the JDM 350Z's are quieter as a car so don't know if it is because of the backbox.
  24. Tarmac - would I have to get them sprayed myslef or do they come in the factory colours?
