  1. I went through the same thought process as you 3 years ago. 1.Still loving my car but wanted more power. 2.Bought the car new it's now 4 years old but still seems new,but offered crap money part x. 3.Looking around at what other cars are available used for my new budget, but they are maybe older, have more miles, unknown history, wrong colour/spec etc. 4. Going to loose a lot of money on the mods. I came to the conclusion that my choice was either to modify my Zed to a very high standard and enjoy the journey over a few years and end up with a very rare and distinctive car or buy an early GTR,leave it alone and hope that nothing goes wrong! Even now with hindsight on my side the choice is just as hard, but if money is no object the GTR wins hands down because of tuning potential of that car the world is your oyster. The only thing I have to say is that people expect to be blown away by a GTR or any other mainstream big power car but there is nothing more satisfying than making a very expensive car go small in your rear view mirror or blasting past them on track with something that by rights should not be going anywhere near that quick Is one hell of a buzz!! Unless you buy a bomb proof classic cars will always lose money so go with your heart. I know it's not a 370 but if you want to have a blast in my car drop me a pm. Good luck
  2. Ooooh, what's this? I like fighter jet switches! Ejector seat! Runs my Dash camera so it's easily switched on while on the move if I come across something interesting!
  3. Nice to see a few more are doing this mod. Makes way for the must have aux/secret switch! Lol
  4. Have very happy birthday all of you!
  5. I have spoken to Alex( Hollowpoint) who along with his other half Rose (300zx club),who have done an amazing job organising this in previous years. Unfortunately they won't be taking up the mantle this year so if we want to get a stand up together we are going to have to go it alone. I have really enjoyed this show over the last two years, and after looking on the website track time is already selling fast. What do you guys think about forming a list of who wants to attend and seeing if we can get a club stand together? Don't want to step on anyone's toes (regional event organisers).
  6. Hi and welcome along to the forum! Come to a meet and we will infect you with Zeditus! Lol
  7. It's an engine out job so expensive before you start I'm afraid. If you go to a professional and use quality parts, get them balanced you will be lucky to get change from 7k without thinking about clutch and other bits that need beefing up.
  8. Mate that is looking so go good. I'm thinking your going to need a co pilot on every trip as if you start monitoring all those gauges on the move you are gonna crash!!!! Lol Your skills are second to none (Bob included).
  9. Welcome along Mason. Looks like you've got a beauty there!
  10. Good choice Matt. BC are the best all round shock for the money. I have HSDs on my car which are awesome on track but probably a bit too hard for a daily driver.
  11. I also have two sets so we can share and go out with four different wheels on each corner, not seen that done before!! Joking apart they will look the nuts on your motor matey!
  12. Those style of wheels would look rubbish on a zed. Sorry.......
  13. Oh YES! Do it Andy. Mark, Bennett and I all agreed it would be great to come and watch an actual race event. And what better reason than to come along and cheer one of our own. Taking anything up there flat out takes some remarkably big steel kahuna's, let alone a Zed. You do get a very strange, but real sense of nostalgia and heritage when in the pit area and walking up the course. There's no real evidence of 'modern' motor racing and it still appears as it would of many years ago. The health and safety busy bodies haven't prevented you from sitting trackside protected by a bit of rope and a man in a cap. OK, maybe he would be wearing a hi viz jacket..... Thanks chap! Emailed the comp sec so all being well me and the old Datsun will be blasting up the hill on 2/3 may. Checked out a few videos on YouTube and it's all very well organised. Saw my mate Tony Bunker in his GTR,60+ old bloke with very big kahunas as that car is far too big for such a tight track!Lol
  14. Nice one Ian! After looking at those pics I'm going to join the Midland club and try and get an entry at some point this season.
  15. I'm sure I have one of these cars in the loft given to me by my gran as a kid was great fun to assemble. Think it's made by a company called meccano........ Lol
  16. Thanks guys! Got pelted with snowballs at work this morning!! Lol
  17. Yep BBS lMRs Looked into these and are rare as hens teeth! Found a set in the US,the guy wanted 3k plus shipping! Eeeek.
  18. Welcome along and looking forward to seeing some pics!
