I like your thinking! Unfortunately my caps aren't really usable as two were melted by the previous owner. I did enquire last year about getting some new replacements from the manufacturer and the answer was $108 including shipping for a set of four which didn't sound too bad compared to those second hand prices! I can't help wondering though how long they would last as the quality of mine didn't look great and brake dust, wheel cleaning chemicals (yes I sometimes get someone else to wash my car ) and possibly heat build-up probably aren't going to be kind to new ones either. I did buy a set of used hexagonal ProRacer FN01R-C caps from eBay US which fit pretty well, I just couldn't decide if I liked the look of them or not. I've lost two of the alloy outer cups from mine so still happy to pay for the two you have left.

Will help handsomely towards your new caps if you sell me the original ones!

Maserati Granturismo, Aston Vantage or ...... Decision P8
andy james replied to Sam Mcgoo's topic in Other Cars
Sorry to hear your thinking about moving on Sam. The sound of the Maserati is second to none at that price. What about we go halves on a Gallardo? Lol -
How to Smurfadise a Zed......**Yellow Brembos** P29
andy james replied to glrnet's topic in Member Build Projects
Found the Hawk pads to be the best I tried with my Brembos Graham. Worked really well from cold so in the real world where you don't get a couple of warm up laps to put heat into the pads they are very good. -

Dissapointing weekend at Gurston dueto the bloody weather! Sat practice was a mixed bag of wet and dry runs so no chance to dial the car in. Sun race day practice run was wet from the previous nights rain so no fast times yet! First timed run on a damp track in 38 secs was better than expected as i wasnt pushing too hard. Second timed run was ten minutes away, track is now dry,car running really well in the cooler air and im thinking "go for it Jamesey this is your chance to break the 36 mark for the first time" It pis..sed it down as our batch lined up in the paddock and didnt stop all afternoon! I slithered/drifted my way up the hill with windsceen wipers on flat out,got two wheels on the grass ,pulled up in the top paddock glad to be alive! In the half hour or so i took to pack up the car the tow truck went up the hill to drag 4 poor souls cars back down with various bits missing or bent! Bank Holiday weather at its best! Brighton Speed Trials next Sat 5th Sept which is a fantastic spectator event with allsorts of cars blasting the1/4 mile along the promanade. Interesing selection of cars in my class! -
Glad you've got the clutch sorted Steve. Bit worried about the dexter photo, hope he didnt launch under the car and fight Bob for the last doughnut!....

Bought a new E46 M3 drop top with Ac schnitzer zorst back in 03,now own a zed which again I've had from new. Still miss that M car now as it was one of the best cars I've owned. Putting to one side the technological advances made with cars since then this is my comparison( coupe) not conv. 1. Performance wise a standard Z wont keep up on track due to the power disadvantage but balance and drivability on the throttle they are on a par. 2.yes the standard brakes on the m3 are shocking! 3. Exhaust note of that strait 6 at 8000 rpm rasping away is intoxicating! 4. Interior/seating of the BM was second to none.but in the Z you feel your in a drivers car. 5. Looks are subject to taste as each car is classed as a coupe and they are both so different,( saloon based verses ,two seater) 6.If I was in the market with 6k to spend on either it's a tough call if you have no desire to modify. 7. Gonna keep my old Datsun till they put me in a box...
