You'd be fine to drive on them in those conditions. My first ever drive in the VXR was in horrendous weather and this was back when I gave very little thought about the tyres, and they held up without a care in the world. Wear will be horrendous, expect to see around 5-7k miles out of them depending on driving style. That's on the GG (medium) compound, which is the most common one. I agree you could get those sort of miles out of these tyres if its a daily driver but do a couple of track days and you will be horrified by the wear rate!! If you dont do too many miles,do the odd track day and are carefull when its lashing then the extra grip is well worth it.

Great news! Have been frightened by toyo with stories of cracked tyres used in sub zero temps. Might venture out for a blast over Xmas!! Dont get me wrong as these tyres grip like nothing else but beware if the roads are really wet!

Had a similar experience last week. As some of you know my daily driver is a Pug 107!😆 Booked in for its first service and drove away with a brand new 208. Was only told its a turbo diesel ,and after a few miles couldn't believe how gutless it was and any progress around town was to rev the nuts of it second gear! On closer inspection of the handbook and the tax disc which was nil cost found out I was driving a 1200cc Dyson/Swampy Eco warrior car that had 1 bhp less than my 107 which weighed 500kg more!! There is a saying "there ain't no substitute for cc's😃

You can de restrict when re mapping with uprev.

I know how you feel Adrian. I get that all the time when in the 107!!
