  1. I read what you had written too. Which bit of my post suggests otherwise to you? Also, on it's claims; you may be content but super hydrophobic is a quantifiable claim and so far no one (yourself included, but I base this on more than just one person's post) has got anywhere near that with this product. Ergo, it cannot live up to its claims, regardless of whether you're happy or not.
  2. Nowhere near super hydrophobic as it claims though, is it?! The finish, the gloss, the beading all scream more wax bias than sealant so I'd be hugely surprised if you see 3 months out of (without any top up of any kind) but do keep us posted on that. Think I'll stick with Wetcoat, unless anyone wants to donate some of this for a proper test...

    Wrap !

Yep. Either that or Tubby Bum Man. You never know with Dan.
  4. If you want to be extra careful, but provided you don’t blast it directly with a pressure washer it should be fine with a bit of caution really.
  5. Battery, fuse box and air intake. Everything else will survive so long as you don’t focus the pressure washer on it for a significant period of time.
  6. Steam cleaner and a nice cold beer.
  7. Oh you don’t want to use BSD... look at the video, it’s s**t!
  8. I hate myself for saying it... but sequential. I feel dirty.
  9. They haven’t piled a tonne of money into it though, it’s old technology that’s become cheap enough for a brand at that end of the market to play around with. Hence ECP can afford to give it away for a fiver when it feels like it - I promise you they wouldn’t do that if they weren’t still making money! It remains to be seen if this actually lives up to the hype (I have many, many questions over the first video) or if it’s just another hyped product new to the shelves like may, many others. However, assuming that it does live up to this hype, there’s still a lot better products available for not a lot more money.
  10. Any fallout remover will be fine on paint. If you protect your wheels, you won’t need anything more than normal car shampoo to clean them off, with the occasional hit of fallout remover (Car Chem Revolt) periodically. In terms of protecting them, it’ll depend on your confidence and budget; at one end of the market you’ve got FK1000P, a hybrid wax that is easy to apply, cheaper than a cheap thing and will last a good few weeks but will require regular reapplications (monthly to six-weekly to keep it tip top). At the other end of the market is a coating like GTechniq C5, more expensive outlay and more involved to apply but will last over a year between applications. Invest in a decent set of brushes (wheel woolies, pay for the proper ones as the cheap knockoffs tend to disappoint sooner rather than later!) and you shouldn’t need any specialist polish.
  11. What could easily happen? What are you talking about?? Also, not ONLY brand snobs would slate Turtle Wax products. People who have actually used and tested them would as well.
  12. I do. It was a sweeping comment made for comedic effect. Seems to have hit a nerve with a couple of people though. Also, he hasn’t bought the car, that’s very much the point here.
  13. What's a "con... se... quence"? You've just made that word up! [/Millennials everywhere] However... Meh, by the time it affects your credit score enough not to get credit, you'll have made your mint from your YouTube videos. And if you haven't, just whinge about it on social media until you get whatever ridiculous demands you want regardless. And if all else fails; crowdfunding. People, en masse, are idiots. [/A brief summary of society today]
  14. Try a proper tar & glue remover instead. I’m going to hazard a guess that you you’ve just wiped or sprayed the tar remover on? If so pick up some cotton make up pads, douse them in the AG tar remover and leave them on the paint for a few minutes before wiping off, you’ll remove a lot more when it given proper time to work. You shouldn’t need compound to remove either.
  15. Why bother selling? Just default on your agreement and let the dealership come and collect it for you...
  16. Where’s his personal responsibility in all that “everyone else has let him down” nonsense? He’s an adult, he’s deemed fit enough to enter into a contract so it is therefore his responsibility to understand the terms that he is agreeing to. The fault is his and his alone, why should anyone else spoon feed him everything for his whole life? Even assuming it is the failings of others, where does the blame for their failings lie? I mean, clearly someone didn’t teach them how to teach this guy very well...
  17. Master key will need repairing again if the battery has been dead/out for a while. Follow the procedure above and report back.
  18. Depends on what you’ve tried and how already. It’s okay but it’s just another polish, without knowing what you’ve tried and how you’re working it it’s difficult to suggest whether it’ll be any better or not.
  19. Yep, completely agree, and I have no idea how to fix the excitement issue either. Aside from regular rule overhauls forcing teams to design new chassis and solve the aero issues regularly, but then people (both in and out of the sport) constantly whinge about the amount of money being spent. As for Schumacher, regardless of how good a driver he was or not (which divides opinion at the best of times) there's absolutely no doubt that he had the best car at the time with Ferrari (granted not with Benetton though). I mean Ferrari did have to constantly cheat to be better, but still...
  20. I quite agree that F1 isn’t as entertaining as it could be, but I don’t think you can look to other variations of motorsport for the answer to F1’s problems to be honest. I still think it’s the pinnacle of the sport from a tech and advancement perspective, so much so that the cars are far too capable if anything; the tech that’s developed in F1 almost always filters down to virtually everything in the showrooms after a few years. It’s just not as entertaining as people like to think they remember it being in the past. ...okay, so it’s not all rose tinted glasses, but actually how entertaining was it really when Schumacher & Ferrari dominated the sport for years on end compared to now? Sure, the V12, V10 and especially V8 were louder but...
  21. BTCC also artificially manufacture closer racing by imposing weight penalties on cars that are faster on the day. That works in BTCC but I don’t see that being transferable to something like F1. As for same spec cars with identical engines, anyone remember A1 GP? No, thought not. Forcing F1 down that route of standardising the cars would largely defeat the purpose of F1. Aside from the fact that it’s a team sport, and therefore reducing it so that the only difference is the driver removes the team aspect, it’s also supposed to be the pinnacle of racing. By providing all the chassis and engines for the teams undermines the basic principal of development that is the foundation of F1. I mean, how much tech on your average daily comes from BTCC, after all?
  22. Is this where the wild speculation of the next Z coming with a Ferrari V12 start then...
