  1. They're not quite the same thing though, one's an all-in-one glaze/polish/sealant, the other is just a glaze.
  2. I've just ordered the next one, they're selling extremely quickly again this month - according to the counter more than half have sold already, in just 8 hours!
  3. (back), I believe that may have been me.
  4. Are you the same J4cko of Scoobynet fame?
  5. Agreed, another good box - good to see Gyeon getting in on the act too. No prizes for me this time though.
  6. When cornering too enthusiastically, you enter the corner facing one way and exit facing the opposite direction; 'reversing' is the technical term for that last bit, which was entirely intentional...
  7. Megs will give a more matte finish if you buff them about 10 minutes after application.
  8. I'm surprised no one's mentioned Megs Endurance yet. Although I quite like the Eco Touch Tyre Shine too, but I'm not sure on the durability of this yet.
  9. If you're used to a liquid wax (the Tech Wax), I'd recommend looking at Dodo Juice waxes or Poorboys Natty's Paste waxes as they're ridiculously easy to use And won't break the bank if you find you don't get on with them.
  10. Those wheels. Those doors. Those rear lights. That... thing on the boot! Oh and, No head unit though...
  11. No, no, no. You just need to get another car to use all the other products on. Polished Bliss do a number of Nanolex products (with price match and free delivery too), which I've only tried a couple of and liked but PB have always been spot on with their assessment of products, so if it's good enough for them...
  12. Already ordered mine again, and for my trouble I was sent this (on the right); That should last me a while.
  13. Werkstat Acrylic kit - easiest thing in the world to use, brilliant results, especially when layered, with good durability and highly recommended by pretty much anyone who's used it (just take a look on Detailing World). The only downside is it works best as the full system (here) rather than just an LSP. I've used this on my previous car (silver) and on a family member's current car (white) and I really can't recommend it enough.
  14. I'm going to hazard a guess that there was a radio tower nearby to where you parked which interfered with the signal from your key. It's fairly common. Oh, and in typical WhackyWill fashion, have a random too.
  15. Synthetic sealants tend to sheet water more whereas natural carnauba waxes will bead more, however with different water behaviour you'll also get a different finish. If you're worried about water spots when cleaning, your options are pretty much to dry after washing (either with a towel/cloth, blower or whatever) or to use a water filter - I use the Aquagleam which works well to counter the hard water around here - or the other option is to not wash the car of course... If you're concerned about water sports from rain, due to the nature of rain it's almost impossible to prevent beading (and therefore spots) regardless of the LSP. You could either dry the car after it rains or re-wet with an open-ended hose (using low pressure) to encourage more sheeting. Or just live with it until it's time to wash again.
  16. Bilt Hamber is, in my opinion, one of the best - and has the added bonus of only needing water as a lube.

  18. Maximum discount is given at 5 years NCB (barring the very odd exception). Anything over that is basically ignored by insurance companies.
  19. Free, full size bottle of G6 coming my way.
  20. Yeah, but you broke yours before you even got it home. (only joking)
  21. Glass is exceedingly hard so it's not easy to scratch but regardless of what he says wire wool is capable of inflicting swirls in glass. There's better things to use to clean glass, such as a good glass cleaner and a proper glass cloth instead of old t-shirts, old socks and wire wool. I've not tried it, and personally I'll be keeping my wire wool for polishing the exhaust rather than the glass...
  22. It might be worth mentioning that this months is a "guest wax", from what I understand they intend to still test their own wax blends "most months". Also there's murmurings that the next one might be something special as it's the anniversary box.
  23. ...hence the rumour that the wax was AutoFinesse..... Was (as in pre-release guesses) or is? I used the wax today actually, it's actually quite good. Easy to use (Dodo Juice sort of easy on/off), gives a good finish and that tin is much better than the usual pot. Durability is now in testing... I'm none-the-wiser as to whether it is just re-branded though as I've never used the other wax in question. Incidentally, the AM Details Glaze is very good too (durability test is also under way on this, being an AIO), the APC... works, much like most APC's, I've reviewed the Sonax QD on here somewhere before and I won't need to use the wheel cleaner for a while yet but all-in-all, this one was a very good box.
