  1. Spent a good portion of my day polishing my nuts today.
  2. You won't be disappointed with either.
  3. Don't feel obliged to provide anything at all mate but I think I could pull something together for a sealant test if so desired. I'll have to check what sealants I've got to see if it's worth comparing them before freeloading though.
  4. Shamelessly stolen from my own Instagram today. Make of this what you wish.
  5. Test samples, you say? That wing repair looks spot on. As does the new brake set up. One question; how did the Haribo last long enough to make it into the photo?
  6. Only 11 finished, just Button completed the race outside of the points.
  7. I can't help with the others, but; Stay in the bar instead.
  8. I still think it's far too early in the season to for the FIA to step in at this point. Personally I'd like to see them perhaps make it easier for the other teams to catch up rather than penalise the Mercedes, things like extra testing and all those other things they banned under the penny pinching scheme that's worked so very well. If they make it easier for the other teams to catch up, at least the teams themselves still have to do the work too.
  9. I do mind, you're just taking liberties. Only joking, you're most welcome to really. Nice reflections, and good strong beading too. I do like me some good beading!
  10. There's just no pleasing some people, is there? First race happens. "Utter boring" Horner suggests that the FIA levels the field. "Sour grapes because they are not winning" I'm sorry but just; That's just it though, it wasn't "fine" when they were doing the same. In Horner's own words; And he's got a point. I can't actually think of a single advantage that wasn't ultimately banned since the days of Schumacher and Ferrari owning the sport.
  11. Right then, anyone have any experience with Slick Rims? I plan on using this on my wheels shortly and wondered if it was worth doing a test against FK and/or the HubiRims I have still to use up. Thoughts anyone? If no one's interested I'll just slap Slick Rims on everything this time round.
  12. Hubikote have been sending out some spray fresheners to "recharge" those short lived card ones from Waxybox, so try spraying some onto the card if/when it's dead. I found my Hubikote one lasted about 2/3 days, in comparison the Nanolex one that replaced it the day the Waxybox arrived is still going strong at the moment. Okay, that's enough of this terribly exciting air-freshener talk for now.
  13. There wasn't a great deal of racing going on though, and most places were decided by reliability rather than driving. Although I did find it a little amusing that everyone's forgotten how to do pitstops all of a sudden. I have little doubt that it will get better, hopefully the reliability issues (at least for the most part, I think it'll take Honda a while yet to resolve their issues!) will largely be resolved sooner rather than later and we can get back so some actual racing again. With any luck at all that might even happen before Merc take the championship....
  14. Nice air freshener, by the way. Did you find that those Hubikote ones didn't last very long though? Apparently they were a bit hit and miss. I'll have you know I'm saving those for later! And at least my seat switches are in the right places.
  15. Well it's in the best colour. But it could do with a detail, that rear bumper is swirl central. Otherwise it appears to be in good condition. The missed services warrants more investigation and the ad itself is quite poor and light on details. That's it, that's all I've got.
  16. Very much this, as you've only had it 6 months and added 1500 miles.
  17. Just a heads up but there's two locator tabs on badge - one either side at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions - so if you go for the dental floss/fishing wire approach, don't be surprised if it catches there. Other than that, as per the thread Granville linked for removal - a bit of heat and some tar & glue remover will really help. For reattaching; 3M tape cut to requirements, just make sure the area you're sticking it to is clean and dry. All very straightforward.
  18. A much more interesting use of your time.
  19. Watch the intro, the first lap and then do something else. Absolutely anything else! The safety car completed more race distance than a full quarter of the field.
  20. What are the odds of anyone other than Mercedes actually making it to the start of the race right now?
  21. Strictly penny pinching to be honest, there's really no other reason not to use it more often besides cost. Because of that though I probably wouldn't use it more than every other wash (assuming weekly washes), which should be plenty to keep the protection up. Certainly will be if you use WetCoat occasionally too and/or have a good base protection on. You could even introduce Cure into the regime for added protection, that can be diluted 1:1 and used as a drying aid whilst adding another layer protection if you really wanted.
  22. I found it really easy to get down there ... when I had the centre console out.
  23. Thank you. A couple of options depending on what you're after really; If you want a "pure" shampoo that doesn't add and protection/wax/gloss enhancers then for it comes down to either Gyeon Bathe or Car Chem 1900:1 (well, personally I'd spend the extra £1 and get that personalised. ). If you're after something that adds protection and gloss, you simply won't find better than Gyeon Bathe+. In short, none. I'm not really a fan of spray waxes to be honest as I don't find them to be at all durable. For no extra effort you can you can apply just about any acrylic spray sealant or for less effort you can apply Gyeon WetCoat for better protection with similar durability. For me, the only advantage to wax over a sealant is the difference in finish, but I've never got the same deep, wet look from a spray wax as I do from a paste wax so if I was going for spray on/buff off LSP then I'd opt for a sealant and AM Seal would be my choice. If, however, you just want something quick and easy then I'd recommend what I'm going to deem "the Gyeon regime"; I.e. Bathe+ and WetCoat, applied alternatively once a month (after an initial coat of both for month 1, Bathe+ month 2, WetCoat month 3, repeat) with a pure shampoo for the other washes.
  24. Did you not notice who posted the video above to YouTube then?
  25. But surely if Taxi drivers do it, that makes it legal. I mean that's how it works, right?!
