  1. One last try. So if Top Gear earns the BBC It's going to favoured over, say, a Jack Whitehall "sitcom" that aired twice on BBC Three at 3am on a Wednesday. Regardless of what the BBC Charter says. Any business is going to favour profitable products over less profitable products. Including the BBC. They're not just going to chuck away £160m (or whatever it actually is) for the sake of "appearing PC".
  2. Quite. So it's going to favour those programmes which actually make money then isn't it?!
  3. Surely, if anything, you'd end up with all 7 (?) channels showing the same one programme 24 hours a day. Overlooking budgets for a moment, if there's no favouring of programmes then they'd have to show the same programme at prime time as they would during the day. And they can't air that one programme on the more popular BBC1 whilst another gets shown on one of the less popular channels.... Everything the BBC does, everything, is based on favouring it's programmes.
  4. To be honest, it sounds like you've already made your mind up about this. Good luck with it.
  5. Good taste, that man. That's the one picture currently chosen to adorn my desktop.
  6. Second only to Dr Who, I seem to recall. I can't remember the source though, so that might be rubbish.
  7. On the topic of; As you have one of those primer coloured parts (literally on parts, as per your other thread), all you need to do is use the eyebrows as templates to cut the gaffer tape to shape, stick the gaffer tape on your lights and send the eyebrows back for a refund.
  8. But Mouthwash, It's got to be worth at least £20k, right? On a more serious note, it's a Cat D with questionable paint underneath that wrap, incomplete service history and he says it had a P2 service on 20th but later says it will have a service prior to sale? Personally, I'd walk away and not look back.
  9. There's one in Dunsfold doing nothing for the next couple of Wednesdays...
  10. It's what we say about each other on here, that's more worrying.
  11. But even with those details to hand, registered keeper has no bearing on who's sat in the driver's seat at any given time anyway.
  12. But they'd have to pull the car over in order to identify the driver before consulting the DVLA.
  13. Thanks for the kind comments guys. Clean my car? When would I, with my busy lifestyle, possibly have the time to clean a car? Probably tomorrow though.
  14. Its a Solid State Phased Array Radar, a giant ‘Pyramid’, one of the most sophisticated radars in the worldwide chain of Ballistic Missile Early Warning sensors. Yep, that ^^. More specifically, RAF Fylingdales' one of those.
  15. I was wondering that myself.
  16. Standard practice for an i10 purchase, surely?
  17. Sod off you two. You're not wrong about the petrol! Luckily it's still relatively cheap at the moment.
  18. Seeing as I was half way there already and had an afternoon to waste after a trip to the ever excellent Atkin for a service, I figured I'd take a drive across the North Yorkshire Moors and took some snaps on the way. Unfortunately the weather turned a bit cold, wet, bleak and generally unpleasant on the way up, so excuse the rain on the lens in some of the pictures. Like this one. I'm not the best photographer ever (or maybe not even a particularly competent one), but I'm participating and that's all that matters. Don't be too harsh on me.
  19. One thing we can all agree on is that the Megadrive was better than the SNES.
  20. Not here It would be here if I had any say in the matter, but it's got a hell of an immobiliser on it at the moment.
