  1. Yeah, congratulations. I did my first Sprint distance 4 years ago for my 40th. I have being doing the occasional Tri ever since, my first Olympic distance was last year. This year I focused more on cycling and completed the London to Paris in 24 hours (inc. ferry time) last weekend. This is why I never post in the thread 'did you clean your car this weekend', I never had the time ! I highly recommend doing an open water swim, I still go to a lake every week, at least from May to September. As you say you can eat like a big and not have to worry about weight gain, that's pretty much why I do it ;-)
  2. My 1988 911 in Guards red with beige leather interior....perfect condition and low miles. Never cost me a penny except for servicing and didn't depreciate as it was 10 years old.
  3. Great pictures, looks like a really good road trip. Not sure about the marmite crisps though

    Tyre choice

Search is your friend, you don't want to start a tyre thread again.....
  6. I went for Silver, the same colour as the door handles

    MPG

25.2 average on a mixture of motorway and A roads but not during rush hour so no traffic
  8. Wow, nice car for an 18 year old. And welcome ! I think I was still driving around in my Ford Fiesta 950 at that age.
  9. Classic, I hear there is a monkey at Longleat doing great deals on parking sensor caps, most makes and models
  10. Don't ditch the roof spoiler, ditch the roof !
  11. No problem, I just called them and they said you can order dimpled and grooved instead of drilled and grooved if you want, it is the same price. You just state it in an e-mail to them along with your car details
  12. I'm looking at discs and brakes at the moment. I had a further look on ebay and noticed that you can buy the front and rear sets separately for under £240. The grooves on the discs look slightly different. I can't notice any other difference, maybe they are an older model ? http://stores.ebay.co.uk/mintbitz/Nissan-/_i.html?_nkw=nissan+350z&submit=Search&_fsub=1644597013&_sid=296354333
  13. Very, very sad news...he was brilliant.
  14. Due to their unreliability you may want to call the hotel to check that you are now booked in and ask for e-mail confirmation.
  15. The kayak will lay perfectly on that wing, a few bungee cords will hold it in place
  16. Put the roof down and place the kayak in the passenger seat ? I'm not aware of any roof racks for the roadster. Maybe a BGW will assist ?
  17. I wouldn't call it my dream car, I owned a 911 in the 90s which ticked a box, but... I really started liking the 350z when I drove one on an experience day and was the quickest round the track. Since then I knew I wanted a 350z roadster but kids etc stopped that idea for some time. A few years ago I looked at all the 2 seater roadsters available at £11k ish and the 350z was still top of the list. I have owned my roadster for 3 years, my plan was to upgrade it around now but have decided to keep it for another couple of years. I think what you get for your money is pretty unbeatable. I still look back at it every time after parking up.....
  18. Driving towards Stadhampton....
  19. The voodoo range sold by halfrauds get good reviews
  20. None, only had 3 and that was driving a diesel van up a hill. Got done a couple of times in the States and had to pay instant fines.
  21. +1 Or 4 of them on a Lancaster bomber. I couldn't believe the sound when one flew straight over the house
